Oh, wow, what a great idea for a thread. I hope MANY people participate, because I would love to see more places, but I don't have the ability to travel right now (who knows if I ever will?).

LOVE the photos you posted, and I just love the water. I could definitely get used to that view with my morning coffee. That is so gorgeous. Thanks so much for sharing, mrbingo. I can't wait to see more, and when I get settled back in, I will post some photos of Minnesota, USA. (Just got back from traveling up north for the fourth of July holiday).

I will have to find some of my photos of the city I live in.. This photo is of one of the horse farms around here. There are no horses in this photo but I still like it.

I live in Minnesota, USA. Here are some photos my middle son and his girlfriend took when they visited northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan, including the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I will find some good pics of MN soon. 🙂

The first two are from a place called, "Lake of the Clouds."

This is the shore by one of the places they camped. This could be Lake Superior, but I am not 100% certain they were still in MN at this point. I wish I could post a larger photo, because the rocks are just incredible in this photo.

A nice resting spot while hiking a trail in the woods, lol.

Took me forever to resize and post all those, so I will post some from around my state when I am back in the mood to post pics. I look forward to seeing more of what others post, too. 🙂

My contribution is my favourite gizmo that I discovered in Tokyo a few years ago... the beer vending machine! One of those wouldn't last 2 nights on the streets here.

Wow, love the beer vending machine and I don't even drink alcohol. Beautiful photos Hope. I tried and tried to re-size mine. I still don't have them small enough. I will have to do this another day.

I just realised I cheated and you want pictures from where I live. I looked through my photos and realised that since I had kids I never photograph anything except them! So here are a couple of shots of my daughter at the beach.

I have always wanted to see the beaches of Australia, so I guess I have seen one now, lol. CL-Ed, how far is that beach from where you live? Your daughter is a cutie! 🙂

The above is located in the Upper Peninsula of the state of Michigan, USA. The "Lake of the Clouds" is located there, and within the "Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park," where my son and his gf also visited and camped out.

Just adding a little more information. 🙂

I don't live that close to the beach - about a half hour drive away. The first one is a beach in Sydney, Cronulla I think. My sister in law used to live right near the beach there. The 2nd one is one time we went on a holiday up the coast a bit.

Great hat on your daughter Ed! Could do with one of those here.... & of course the beer cooler too... 8)

And to answer your question Hope, i am where what they used to call the Spanish Main in the old pirate days 🤠 ... can't say more unless I get banned from the flash new casino pictured... 😲

Ha yes she used to love that rainbow coloured hat. She has grown out of it these days though.

I love that picture - little girl gazing out over the ocean with not a care in the world.

Here are a few that I was able to get a hold of. The town in where I live is pretty small, but is the headquarters of the Dow Chemical Company. Our most notable landmark is the Tridge, a triple bridge that connects three different parks downtown. I lifted a pic of it off the internet, as I have never felt inclined to photograph it.

The other two pics I will post are of my hometown of Detroit. The first is the Renaissance Center (headquarters of General Motors), and the second is the Ambassador Bridge, which links the US to Canada.

Those are awesome photos, 'Slim. I love that bridge. The other two photos are very good, too!

This was truly an awesome idea for a thread. I will have to post more later, too.

I wish I would have seen this thread before the colors faded but I am attaching the pic of my last rose of 2012 🙂

This is pic from a parasail boat that we went on of Waikiki. It is so beautiful there. We saw whales in the distance but no good photos.
