I know you have, LM, but I just wanted to make sure that both you and Mr. Bingo remembered that thread, since it gives several examples by different members, which we, all three, enjoy reading about. 🙂

welcome all you! I got my 20 usd amazon giftcard some weeks ago and bought me some nice old WWII movies.. Really happy about that. Just one question. Ed who is paying for it all? Who is paying to keep this site going and rewards for the members? Have not understood all that still.. 😕

Glad you were able to get something you liked!

In answer to your question, we are a casino affiliate site. We are able to run everything by using money we earn from casinos either through referring players to them or running ads on the site (of which we do very few). Everything is explained in far more detail on our About Us page.

Thank you, CL-Ed! I read the About Us page. That is very cool. So, you have been going strong since 2007? That is awesome! How have you seen your membership grow from then until now?

I am trying to remember what brought me here, how I found CL to begin with, and I can't check, because that thread is gone (or is it just buried?). I am thinking I might have had a poker questions or maybe I did have an interest in finding out if online casinos were "for real" and legit and ended up here?

I can't remember now, but it has been just over a year since I joined, and I am sure glad I found this place! I have had more fun since I joined, here and at the casinos. I have enjoyed getting to know all the members, too, and I wish some would return (miss them). 😢

It seems all the members here are SO nice! Us gamblers just must be a very special group of people, lol. 😉

Yep - since 2007. The membership grew very slowly at first. We used to get excited seeing a single new member sign up until we found out there were invariably a spammer or automated bot being used to post spam! We even used to allow people to post without registering (and I still prefer that in a perfect world) but the internet being what it is, we would get inundated with spam.

Its only in the last 2 years or so that we've really tried to get the forums humming and build a community. And believe me its hard work - but its also rewarding when you get to know the people using your site, make friends, and help people too. I much prefer that to having a site that is just a place visited by random "digital ghosts" from around the world that you never interact with, even if it means more work and a constant battle with spammers.

Every time I think I have seen about everything here, I find something else. I have never seen the About Us section before. It was an interesting read.

You definitely have the right idea going on here! I have, out of curiosity, visited some of the other casino sites, and they really are nothing compared to here, and I never feel like I would be able to trust them. I believe that is why you have loyal members who see and appreciate all this place is and has to offer.

I also observe all that goes on here and realize you do have a very busy job! However, you are great at making it all look so "easy," but providing prompt responses and constantly updating information, and so on.

Thanks, again! 🙂

I like that if a casino treats a person bad and you can't get it resolved, you don't sugarcoat it. You tell it like it is. That builds my trust in your recommendations. 🙂 What's the saying?......It's takes a lifetime to build a reputation but a minute to destroy it........something like that. CL has a good reputation with me, and that will spread as others visit the site.

Yeah, that is so so so true! I have started to face up against companys On Facebook also. That has proven to be very useful! Just one Ex. When British Airways caused me a big total mess with delays and lost luggage, at first they did not want to help out at all.. In the end after telling em that I would send out a warning on twitter and FB to all my 907 friends around the world about the bad service.. well well.. suddenly they gave me both a nice hotelroom ****stars at Heathrow for the night and a cab to take me there. In todays world companys.. any company really that wants to grow need to think about the negative effect just one single customer might have on the sales if he or she turns out to be unhappy and dosent get the help needed. Thats why I really also love this page casinolistnings since it helps the small person/customer stand up against Ignorant and bad Customer service, all to often provided by far to many Online Casinos. After findning this page I will never ever more start an account at any online casino without checking in here first to get an all clear!

I feel the same way about checking here before depositing money in a casino. I've also told my sister and brother and others on my FB page.

Congrats on your "negotiations" with British Airways. 🙂 I had a much smaller problem with Verizon. I had somehow unknowingly pushed something on my phone which automatically signed me up for something for $9.99 a month. It was something stupid like celebrity updates (I could care less) or some other useless program. I checked them out on www.ripoffreport.com to see if other people were having the same problem as I was. When I was talking to the girl on the phone at Verizon, I told her that I had a whole forum of people waiting to see what her response would be. She took of the charges. I can see if they had warned me that I would be charged each month and gave me a chance to agree or disagree but that didn't happen. I told the blog what happened and I'm sure that Verizon was seen more favorably in their eyes. I also mentioned that there were complaints about them on www.ripoffreport.com.

We all have more power than we realize, especially if we stick together. 🙂

I have used www.ripoffreport.com to find out about a lot of companies. I had another problem with www.godaddy.com. I wanted to cancel my account and they made it impossible. I sent that all that they needed a couple of times but for one reason or another they were unable to cancel my charges. I had to back that one up with a lot of documentation but I got my charges reversed! People on ripoffreport were having some of the same problems.

great, thanks for sharing. Companys have to understand that it's the Customers market today, If they treat one bad and he or she tells about it on for ex fb or other online forum the negative effects might fast become very real in $$$.. 🙂

Same thing happened to my father, only it wasn't $10 a month, it was $5 for each message SENT TO HIM by some offshore shelf company set up in the Cayman Islands or something. He somehow was tricked into signing up via entering a competition or something and received 5 messages in a row instantly. It was a complete and utter scam and the phone company here (pretty sure it was Vodafone) would not refund him. Their answer was they could "block those sorts of numbers" so they couldn't be accessed in future. Of course the question arose why not block them by default and allow any idiots who actually wanted to be ripped off to opt-in. But of course they wouldn't do it because then they would miss out on their cut. It makes me angry just thinking about it now.

I'm sure Verizon got a cut. The phone companies here have you sign a 24 month rental agreement to get a free phone or a cheap phone. I'm sure if everyone had a month to month lease, they wouldn't try that crap as much because people would change companies. Now the companies hold you hostage, in a way ,by the early termination fee. I think when my contract runs out again I will just have a home phone and then one cell phone we can share. There are so many articles on brain cancer from cell phones out now. I don't think it's safe t use one really. I rarely use mine anyway but it's still a concern.

My mom is in her 80's. I tell her to never answer the phone unless she knows who it is. There was a scam going on years ago that when you answered your phone, the scammer would switch you to some other company and run your bill up. She has an answering machine now and avoids all calls from strangers.

I just realized I passed my one year anniversary of joining Casino Listings. It has been a great year filled with online gambling and getting to speak with people all throughout the world.

Whether its sports, blackjack or just a plain ol' deranged game of "would you rather" via PM, this site is the best, and people are never short to express their thoughts on a particular topic.

I really am glad I came to this site before I deposited at a casino, as I would have likely been suckered into a rogue. This place rocks and I hope it keeps going for the long haul... and kicks more butt once America gets regulated and gets the good games!

And what am I missed? A PM game of would you rather? Are some of you being nasty behind our backs? lmbo! Bring it on to the forums! 😉

I have the same wishes for the U.S., and I feel the same way about being glad I came here FIRST and meeting people from all over the world.

I look forward to another year here! 🙂

Yes, I noticed that after I was in another thread. I was thinking 2012 minus 2010 is 2 years, not thinking this is only January, well actually Feb. 1 as I write this. That is still a long time though!
