What a great idea, CL-Ed, and a nice bonus for the "newcomers." I was really wanting a place to welcome new players, so this will help us to be able to do so, AND give them a nice start on their CL-chips!

Awesome ideas and site, as usual!

Im Thomas from The North Cape Norway. Yes I do live far up here in the 71 degree North Region. Work as a Nurse. Used to Live in Finland. Born and Raised in the South of Finland. Consider online casinos to be fun way of relaxing. Have made some blunders in my search for the Best Casinos. Yes I admit CoolCat got over 100usd from me before I found this great site and now know where to look before depositing real money.

At the Moment I play mostly at Casino Room and at Paf Online.
I Recomend em both, especially Pafonline. It's a small and thrustworthy company with solid foundation.

Big Bonuses is not part of the game idea for PAF. They do tend to have small bonuses of 10euro from time to time, normally its enough that you play thru this 2 times to cash out, but Its so seldom I see bonuses there that I dont reflect about em. Thats the best thing about PAF you can allways cash out the funds in your account without a lot of problems. At PAF what you see is what you get!

Would be great if Ed or someone could put em up here as a good and safe option for european Players! I Have playd online with them for over 10 years and they are small but one of the best around!

We've added a Paf page here:
Paf Casino Review

We'll have someone check it out and review it soon. They accept players from everywhere except Turkey and the USA. I like how it is set up as a charitable foundation so if you lose you at least know the money is going to a good cause.

Wow, that is really interesting. I have only heard about those places on TV. Where I live, in the very cold state of Minnesota, we have "daylight savings time." So, in the summer it gets dark at 9pm, and then in the fall, we turn our clocks back and it starts getting dark at 4:30 or 5pm, and I hate the darkness, too. On top of that, many of our winter days are "dark and dreary," rarely seeing that sunshine we all crave so much. I would literally have to hibernate, Mr. Bingo!

In the fall and winter, I want to put my P.J.s on at 5pm when during the summer I wouldn't even come indoors until 8 or 9pm! Many people in Minnesota suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.) or depression and even Vitamin D deficiency, which I was diagnosed with myself (the latter). I told my doctor that I believe 90 percent of Minnesotans probably have a Vit D deficiency.

I have never considered how it would be to try to sleep with the sun shining 24/7. Probably have to get some very good room darkening shades, right?

I have a question, too. Is there a big difference in the crime rate from the "dark time" to the "light time?" Just wondering if there have been people to study that or if it is noticeable.

Well, welcome, once again, and please don't worry about your English. You are doing fine, and I can understand you very well.

Now go take an extra dose of Vitamin D! πŸ˜‰

Welcome mrbingo83 and congratulations on your wins! It gets cold here in London where I am but I imagine the north end of Norway puts us to shame. I have been to Oslo and even made it up as far as Trondheim once but never that far north.

I have been a member here for quite a while now and I am a bit of a lurker but I'm trying to post more often as I have received some great advice from this site. It deserves a bit of recognition for being honest in its reviews. I have seen some shockign "review" sites that must be either created by the owners of the dodgy casinos themselves or they are being paid to post glowing reviews of criminal casinos.

Hi Ninutsa.J, and welcome to Casino Listings! This is such a fun place with lots of friendly, and helpful people. I hope you will come "play" with us in the General Forum under the topics of your choice. We are here to learn AND to have fun!

I believe we even have a music thread started? And, yes, I have an eclectic taste in music, with alternative being one of my top, if not my top, favorite.

I look forward to getting to know you better. πŸ™‚

Well Nice to meet you all!
First I will try to answer your question:
I have a question, too. Is there a big difference in the crime rate from the "dark time" to the "light time?" Just wondering if there have been people to study that or if it is noticeable.
HONNINGSVΓ…G WERE SOME YEARS AGO CALLED LITTLE CHICAGO CUS THE HIGH CRIME RATE HERE. THIS WAS I THINK SOME TIME IN THE 90THS BUT FROM THEN ON IT HAS DROPPED DOWN. WE DO HAVE I WOULD SAY NORMAL CRIME RATE NOW AND IM NO EXPERT IN THESE KIND OF THINGS BUT I DO THINK THE RATE IS A BIT HIGHER IN THE SUMMERTIME SINCE WE GET INVADED BY 200 000 TOURIST. THAT SEEMS TO ALSO DRAW SOME NOT WANTED VISITORS.
BUT STILL ITS ONLY ABOUT A MONTH AGO SINCE WE HAD THE LAST MURDER HERE. IN THAT CASE I THINK IT WAS ALCOHOL INVOLVED. FAR TO COMMON IN THIS PART OF THE WORLD. FINLAND IS A REALLY BAD EXAMPLE ALSO OF THIS, EVEN WORSE THAN NORWAY I WOULD SAY.

Well to continue on survival tips for this artic dark climate:
Actually I really dont have any! This is now my second winter and I still suffer from both depression and total lack of energy. Thats why I just made an reservation for a week down in the Canary Islands. Sorry to say it, but My body cant manage without the sunshine. I Need it and will go anywhere to get it!

Now at the moment its about +2c outside and rain. No Snow for x-mas it seems, and who would ever have imagined that at 71 degrees North?! Since we dont have any snow it gets even darker. The snow does seem to work somewhat reflecting the little light that there us in the mornings between 10-12 am. Light yes but no Sun. And BY light I would say that you can Imagine a dark and cloudy late atum afternoon and compare it.

Wells its only about 5 weeks left and then the days starts to get longer once more! πŸ™‚

Great to read about your life far out in the big but still small and friendly world. I love to travel! Most pep how live up here but wasnt born up here has one big hobby. TRAVEL. Best thing about this place is when I get to go away πŸ™‚. I happen to have a god deal with my boss so I work for 10 weeks and then get 2 weeks of with pay to travel. This plus 5 weeks of summer holliday every year is keeping me up here!

Im now at the stage of planing a roadtrip next summer with my friend from NY to Chicago and around lake Michigan to Toronto (were a good friend of mine works and live) and back down via the Niagara Falls! Its going to be so awesome!

Tomas,

Thank you for answering all my questions. I love hearing about different parts of the world, and that is one fun thing about coming here. Not only do I meet people from all over the U.S., but from all over the world. I can get a general idea about what different parts of the world are like, but nothing beats hearing first hand from those who actually live there.

Have you ever tried the light therapy/light boxes that people who have Seasonal Affective Disorder use? I hear they work well, and they are going down in price, too. I have never been able to afford one, even at a discounted rate, but I hear they work well for some. May be worth a try to ward off the depression during the "dark time." You probably already know about this, but just a thought.

I also had to comment on your road trip! Wow, does that sound like fun, and planning your trip gives you something to look forward to. My middle son, who is 25 years old, started getting interested in camping, summer before last. He, and his girlfriend traveled to northern Minnesota, then the upper peninsula of Michigan. Last summer, they focused more on Michigan, and they even took a ferry across the water to get to one of their camp sites in Michigan. Let me tell you, Tomas, he brought back some of the most gorgeous photos I have ever scene. Photo after stunning photo, and you know the photo does not compare to being there. Minnesota and Michigan are SO stunningly beautiful in the summer, if only our summers would last longer! My friend suggested to him to go see Niagra falls NEXT summer. None of us have ever been there except my mother. You are going to have an awesome trip! I hope you are still here, when all is said and done, so YOU can share some photos with us. πŸ™‚

How nice that you are able to escape, and what a wonderful job/boss you have to get that much vacation. I have heard that we, in the U.S., get the least amount of vacation compared to the rest of the world. So sad, because, as we all know, life is too short! 😒 I am happy for you!

I have never been to the Canary Islands, either. I need to get out more, right? lol

Have a wonderful week end, Tomas and everyone! πŸ™‚

πŸ™‚ LOL Yes Ive heard about this light terapy thing and We do have one of those lamps at work in out office. Only problem is that in a normal day as a nurse you do not tend to have a lot of time just sitting and relaxing in front of that thing. My boss es, the plans for a trip around lake michigan is a certain go go! Also the Niagara falls are on the same route. I do however think that visiting the Niagara falls left me with a bit of bad feeling. Seems to be a bit over comercilaised.. 😜 Standing in line 2 hours behind 500 japanes pep just to get on the Maid of The mist is not really all that fun! 😜

Well, now Im of to bed! Take care and merry xmas!

Hi,

My name is Jenny and I am from the Chicago area. I use the name LuckyMe because i seem to be lucky at times for myself and others. I am new to CL casino games. My favorite type games are the slots where there is a special round if you hit three special symbols on the game. I'm not sure what they are called but there is a bonus round. I haven't played enough to know any particular games yet.

Welcome, Jenny! I am so glad you could join us here. Fun group, and I know I have learned SO much from CL-Ed and others. Everyone is very helpful and this site, unlike some, watches out for the PLAYERS.

I love the bonus rounds, too. Very fun to get those free spins! πŸ™‚

Thanks for the welcome mrbingo83. I am not originally from Chicago. I love the downtown architecture. Some of the buildings, interiors as well as exteriors, are a photographer's dream. I don't visit downtown often. I'm about 25 miles sw of Chicago. What kind of things are you interested in? We do have a couple of casinos in Joliet. Very often movies are filmed in downtown Chicago and surrounding areas. Lakeshore Drive is just beautiful. If you love people watching, there are plenty of places to just sit and watch.

mrbingo83 I have a tip for Chicago after going there a couple of times many years ago now. If you're in the city and you want to go up a tall building for the view, everyone goes to the Sears Tower but you can usually get up and down the Hancock Tower much quicker and easier. And from what I can remember the Lincoln Park area has some good pubs!
