Random changes when a network disconnected ?

11 replies • Last post

Has anyone ever encountered while playing slots then the internet network was disconnected? Where I live has weaknesses in a weak Internet network, so I often experience network events cut off and that happens almost everyday, so also when playing slots, the question is whether there is influence in random (RNG) when the network is disconnected, because based on what I've experienced has shown that my random gets worse after the network is disconnected, please some feedback or suggestions on this whether there is a technical explanation about it, thanks

There should be no influence in the RNG when the network connects. A proper RNG has a set combination of numbers and one result is randomly picked, regardless of spins played or anything else. It's the reason why your odds of winning a big jackpot are something like 1 in 200,000,000. Each spin is 1 in 200,000,000, no matter how long you play. Your odds never go up.

Yes exactly slim. It does not matter what happened in the past. Each time you press spin the RNG picks a new random number and that is mapped to a reel position and you may be paid according to whether it is a win.

Also note that the RNG is running on the casino's server, so even if your connection to the server is interrupted, it makes no difference to their server. It just waits there for you to send it a message to generate a new random number and map that to a spin.

I also had the same thought on the network problems and RNG on spins, because I felt that the games paid worse mostly with disconnections.

So I kind of thought that RNG moves within a range for each sessions ( for some dozens of spins).

That means that I could have good payouts for a session, but, after a disconnection, I get in a different RNG session so that I felt it is different, good or bad.

But I doubt about my guess because mostly it gets worse Joking

I don't know what more to say.

thank you for the good feedback from you all, at least I understand little though not entirely about how RNG runs, because this is always me through and with any software I play, this kind of thinking arises when I experience it over and over again so I have a suggestion that every network is disconnected then my random will change, but maybe it's just a blind suggestion ,,

I agree with you, I always keep my connection stable while on the win lines. I often complain about bad outcomes after disconnect, whereas before had a good line.

But there are times where bad outcomes get good after I try to reload. It usually works on Party Gaming and Play'N Go games. and does not seem to have any effect on other game suppliers

but sometimes I take advantage of my suggestions in some game providers, there are some games that if we open the first time then the combination of the image will be the same if we do the reload, but something changed after re-loading, so if I see something like that then I will doing re-loading so I found a good combination after that I will start doing spin, sometimes it does work but sometimes not, but after I see some technical based explanation as described then maybe my trick in doing spin is a silliness, heheh ,, thanks guys ,,

what you describe has restored my confidence in some software, before I have thought that they have cheated me by giving bad random, but what you say have a little awaken my common sense, thanks barbadoslim93

I have a little argument about that. You will see your ticket spins number in the corner of your game screen if you play on a gaming party. The last 3-4 numbers in your spins ticket will change on every spins you do, but not change for some numbers in front of them. Now please try to reload the game. then the number of all ticket random will change. But that is not necessarily true.

I use to be pretty skeptical about that when it would happen, not anymore, I try to stick with the casinos I trust more often then not, I have won and lost after those network glitches.
