Dictionary Game

70 replies • Last post

This one might be fun.

The first poster looks up a word in the dictionary (there are many online dictionaries, as I am sure all of you know). This person posts the definition of the word. The next person must guess the word from the definition, then leave a definition for the next player.

Poster does NOT have to wait to see if the word is right or wrong, but if the person guesses the wrong word, the person who posted the definition can tell the guesser what the correct word was. This will keep the game moving along.

Okay. I will post the first definition, and I won't make the first definition too difficult, lol.

"A wild carnivorous mammal (Corvus frugilegus) that is the largest member of the dog family, living and hunting in packs."

The correct answer is WOLF to my definition, so you got it! 🙂

For yours I will guess chubby? or pudgy? I will wait to make sure I have it correct before I list a new definition, just because I am not 100% positive about this one. 🙂

It is zaftig. I should have chosen an easier one. I've never even heard of this word before.

Hmmmm....I have never heard that term either. Yes, let's try to keep it a little easier at least until we turn pro, lol! 🙂
I was thinking chubby, pudgy, or even husky.

Here is my new definition for YOU! 🙂

"The accomplishment of an aim or purpose."
"The attainment of popularity or profit."

It all sounds so good, though! Homemade caramel and cinnamon rolls, chocolate eclairs...yes, I could go on and on, lol.
