Movies: A to Z

Okay, sorry to overwhelm with all the threads, but at least now we have plenty of choices, lol!

Since there seems to be a lot of movie lovers/buffs here at CL, I thought we could do a fun and simple "Movies: A to Z." It is exactly as it sounds. I will start with a movie that starts with "A" and the next poster simply takes the next letter in the alphabet, trying not to repeat.

A - Apocalypse Now

When I saw Jaws the only seats left were in the very front row. It was very scary!

Marley & Me This movie is about a family and a dog and how it ages. It made me cry.

I saw Marley and Me at the theatre around Christmas time of the year it came out. SUCH a good movie, but yes it was sad. A good book, too.

N - No Country for Old Men

(One of my very favorite films of all time with one of the creepiest, most well-acted "bad guys" {Javier Bordem} ever created on screen!)

P-Pacific Heights This was a good movie. (1990) It was about a couple who fix up their dream house and rent out part of it to a tenant who seems ideal. Little do they know what he is capable up. It had me on the edge of my seat a few times.

Q - Quantum Apocalypse (movie of 2010..(I haven't seen it.. but think that is not worth watching..it has just 3.0 rate on IMDB and doesn't look like interesting for me at the same time))

SG, have you seen Oldboy and can you give a review of it in the movie thread? I always see it, but I have never watched it (on my Netflix streaming). That is very sweet about the other movie, SG (and you and your mom). 🙂

unfortunately, I have not seen it. Like you, always wanted because it's rather popular among my facebook friends, who always share screenshots or quotes from Oldboy. So, I think it's worth watching, but haven't come up to it 😂

Thanks <3

I've not heard of that movie, your mom's favourite one 😕

SG, my mom is obsessed with that movie, watches it at least once per year and talks about it all the time, lol! I feel the same about Oldboy. If I watch it, I will post in the movie thread, and you do the same, please. 🙂
I really enjoyed Seabiscuit, too, when it first came out. It is worth a watch!

LuckyMe, someone told me that they thought I would love those books, as it is a trilogy. There was a movie with subtitles and now the new version. My sons went (youngest and oldest) and reported back positive reviews. 🙂 I still have not seen it, but I plan to do so.

Uncle Buck is a good one. I've watched it several times. I loved John Candy (?) as an actor.
