Movies: A to Z

Okay, sorry to overwhelm with all the threads, but at least now we have plenty of choices, lol!

Since there seems to be a lot of movie lovers/buffs here at CL, I thought we could do a fun and simple "Movies: A to Z." It is exactly as it sounds. I will start with a movie that starts with "A" and the next poster simply takes the next letter in the alphabet, trying not to repeat.

A - Apocalypse Now

OMGosh, speaking of B and goofy, have you seen Birdemic? I think that is what it is called. My son had me watch it yesterday and it is SO BAD. I was definitely lmao! The first 45 minutes of this "horror movie" is not even a horror movie, and you should see the damn birds! Everything is SO badly filmed and so fake and the acting is terrible. I can't believe it wasn't filmed like years and years ago. One of the top ten worst films along with The Room, which set the standard for all.

T - Tommy Boy

OMG, I just looked it up and it is not only called Birdemic, but "Birdemic: Shock and Terror," lmbo! IMDB gives it a GENEROUS 1.9. haha! I think it is on Netflix or YouTube

I wish someone would come play these A to Z games with us, so we would not always have the same letters, BF! 😢

Well, I will add that to my list of "must see" movies. lol I don't collect many movies. I only own my VERY VERY VERY favorites, not much of a collector. There are just not that many that I like to watch over again, so I am fussy about what I decide to own. If I buy one that I don't care to keep forever, I just pass it on to friends or put it on Listia or in a garage sale or whatever.

Is Zombie Island anything like Birdemic? lol!

I haven't even heard of that one yet. I watched The Place Beyond the Pines last night on Movie2k. I don't think everyone would like it, but I LOVED the tone, the setting, the music, the acting: very different type of story. The director also did Blue Valentine with Ryan Gosling. I will review it when I get time.

I forgot all about Fun with Dick and Jane, lol

Yes, The Money Pit was a great, and funny, movie. 🙂 I saw that Texas Chainsaw is now out on Redbox. Not my kind of movie, but I will give my sons your review. lol
