My NFL team, the Detroit Lions are known as one of the worst franchises in the league, always finding ways to lose games. We've also been victimized by referees multiple times over the years. Last night was the worst example of this that I can give you, as they directly handed huge penalties that weren't even there (and not calling penalties that were there against the Packers).

It's literally so bad that Lions fans aren't the only ones complaining. I drove my kids to school today and went between multiple national shows and every one of them was complaining about the officiating and saying that the Lions were screwed out of a win.

Take a look at the most flagrant examples of this last night. Ugh, it sucks to be a Lions fan.

For some reason your video there doesn't loaded for me but I don't need to look at it cause I've seen full game replay Slim..but I'd be positive if I'm a Lions fan..they playing well both phases of the game...just have to be more clinical in the red zone.

You're fully right man...the Lions have been completely harmed by the refs decisions...and I'm a Packers fan by the way.

The thing is not only in the wrong refs decisions in both cases but also in the vital time they both came..3rd downs on top of that (correct me if I'm wrong)..so even I felt sorry for the Lions and the way they've lost that game...undeserved.

But of course the Lions should of look at themselves as well...they started with great two plays - 66 yards the flea flicker on the very first play in the game and there's been one for 50+...but after that they've not managed to finished those (and couple of other) possessions with a touchdowns...so not clinical at all in the last part of the field for me.

But for a long time I haven't seen a game when the ref's decisions have been so vital for the end result...really tough luck Slim..I felt they've should of won that one by the time I've been watching it.. but

I totally agree that the Lions have to find a way to finish in the red zone. You need to put all the points on the board that you can. I'm also not a huge guy that likes to blame refs, but this game it's pretty indisputable that they handed the game to the Pack.

I've told Ed that being a Lions fan is so depressing. And just when I think I've seen it all, they come out and do something or have something done to make it worse. I'm hoping that they can eventually get over the hump one day.

Yeah, completely agree with you man, I don't like to blame the refs either and usually a wrong call is not that vital but those two were just a game changers.

At least there's hope for you Lions fans if the team keep performing like that...they definitely look a lot better than the last year and I think the playoff spot is not out of reach at all, but that NFC North is a tough, tough division this season man!

Oof, that image. Sharpe, did you see Mahomes dislocate his kneecap? The trainers popped it back into place on the field and it looked nasty. He may only miss a week or two though!

Lol, I'd like to think of my self as not that huge... of a Packers fan Ed ๐Ÿ˜‰

You either have a wrong idea about me or that's some sort of a revenge for United draw with Liverpool...๐Ÿ˜‰..but that's for another thread.

And although I think I'm huge looking my self at the mirror sometimes...to be precise 1,75 /78kg the last time I've checked..๐Ÿ˜‰ (that was quite a few pizzas and beers ago ๐Ÿ˜‚)..but won't post any pictures cause I'm the most not photogenic person you could ever imagine...but what the hell... real handsome for the naked eye๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

No I've missed that Slim and maybe luckily so...๐Ÿคข
I've just saw the extended highlights from this one on youtube but that exact moment hasn't been included...do you believe he'd be a big loss for the Chiefs..?
I mean of course he 'd be but they playing so good till now that I believe they'll easily make the play-offs even with the second quarterback and hopefully for them Mahomes would return meanwhile.

It looks like he was somehow back practicing yesterday. He probably won't play this week, but he might, which is incredible given how nasty that injury looked. His team and the league need him as he's so dynamic.

I guess some injuries look really bad but the recovery process is quite fast compared to some that are more dubious.

Yeah agree...quite a talent and the thing that amaze me most is that Mahomes was drafted 10th overall 2017..it looks quite a bargain now isn't it!?

I don't want to underestimate his talent (he's definitely amazing right now) but I wonder how he'd do in an average (or a poor team) like the Jets or the Giants...probably should of mentioned Dolphins instead๐Ÿ˜‰

I also noticed he's holding what looks to be a glass bottle. You haven't been able to get glass in any stadium here for many years. Too many incidents with people throwing them on the field.

Yeah, I could imagine... it's probably been quite dangerous being a player in that times.

Thanks God beer is not allowed in any shape or form here inside the stadiums so I've had to go there already drunk๐Ÿ˜‚... back in the day when I've been visiting some games of course..not now...now I'm just drunk...but not going to a games๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€

It looks like the Lions are back on the winning side of things, but it sickens me to see the Packers standing at 7-1. Mahomes will likely be back this week, which is good to see.

It's a bit weird but I just saw the full Packers - Chiefs replay this last weekend before the regular scheduled games...I think with Mahomes involved the Chiefs could of won this one...

I told you about the Lions, slim..they playing too good of a football ( for me anyway ) not to be involved in the play-off's hunt this season.

I can't believe the last play from that Lions game last weekend. They pulled their two best receivers off to throw to their third tight end... and missed. WTF.

It's good to see the Chiefs beat the Packers without Mahomes. Heck, it's good to see the Packers lose any time!

I think you've got this one a bit wrong slim...in fact Packers beat the Chiefs but then lost to Chargers this last weekend...I still think they should make the play-offs though.

Yeah, that was quite an upset, more so the way they did it, Packers never been even close in that one.

Can't believe how the Lions keep loosing those close games, they should of have a positive record now.

Just saw the Patriots game in full, and it's probably been about time for them to loose a game as well but Baltimore QB Jackson is quite impressive, that guy could outrun any defense, they look like a threat.

The Lions keep loosing those close games and for me their record not showing objectively how they've been playing this season..but at least the Packers trashing by the 49-ers should of made up your weekend...a slim?๐Ÿ˜‰

By the way saw the Ravens - Rams game...that Baltimore QB should be considered as a main MVP candidate this season (I can't stand Seattle and Russel Wilson anyway๐Ÿ˜‰) but Baltimore look the team to beat right now...they're just so powerful running the football...impressive.

Oh yeah the Ravens are on a roll. I can't stand watching the Lions now, it's so bad... but it's my duty to do it. They've led in all 12 games this year and only won 3... same ol' Lions!

Well, for me it wasn't the most impressive Super Bowl ever but the Chiefs fans probably won't care about that.

I'm far from being a Chiefs fan (in fact supported 49-ers in that game) but surely Andy Reid deserved the cup for all he have done for the game.

I'll take that Titans number all day. Broncos aren't going to be good this year, I can feel it!

My tortured existence as a Lions fan continued yesterday. Leading 23-6 in the fourth quarter, they blew the lead only for Stafford to lead them down the field and throw a touchdown to Swift with 6 seconds left... that he dropped. ๐Ÿ˜ข

Just absolutely gutting. They've sucked for pretty much my entire life. There has to be a year when things go their way, but the culture is so bad that I don't see a light at the end of the tunnel. We all have optimism at the start of the season, but it was gone even before the first snap because a ton of good players were out with hamstring injuries.

A guy I follow on Twitter says: "Waking up the morning after a Lions loss feels a lot like waking u the morning after two days of chemotherapy and the doctor is like, 'Just stay in bed and take a bunch of pills and try not to throw up a lot.' It's funny because it's true."

I wish I could become a fan of a good team, but my damn hometown pride won't let me. Someone come whack me on the head and fix me.

I felt bad for the rookie who dropped the TD pass but I bet on the Bears so I didn't mind lol. That was a rough loss for Detroit though. I'm a Jaguars fan and I'm still a little shocked they won yesterday.

Yeah, the Jags were incredible. They're definitely in tank mode after selling off their players. How they have a better record than Detroit is incredible. Excuse me, it's 8:22 in the morning... I need a drink. ๐Ÿคข

What's your thoughts on Super Bowl and the whole season in general slim?

For me it was not a too pleasant experience watching the Packers - Bucks especially the way Green Bay had lost it...but it wasn't too big of a surprise as well..Green Bay defense has been terrible for the biggest part of the season...even in a games they've won by a margin.

Of course Chiefs are the favs but you should never write off Brady...the guy keep proving that year after year...I hope to be a great game...and believe it could be.
