Since we have EPL and CL topics all ready I thought it could be a good idea to have one thread for all of the other top (or not) domestic football leagues.

Swaps like in the US sports leagues?

No, either the player's contract runs out and they move or the club agrees to release them. As for why they would do the latter, if you have a salary cap and a player wants to leave there isn't much sense in dropping them from the first team and holding on to them as you are just wasting cap budget.

Must admit that all 3 ex United players have done well and surely Lukaku and Sanchez looked completely different from the time in United which just proves what I suspected already, it's about coaching.

I told you they were crazy to let Lukaku go without a decent replacement. He's a very good player, with the right coaching of course like you said. If Wikipedia is to be believed he already has 21 goals in 31 matches so far this season.

A lot of my teammates in my old man's football team are Juventus fans. So it would be nice for me to see them not win the league for a change, so I'm all behind Inter and Lazio, anyone else but Juve!

Don't know whether you've been able to watch Bundesliga games this weekend but there's been quite interesting as well, I saw partially the Leverkusen - Dortmund game and the most of Bayern - Leipzig match.

I missed Bayern but I did watch Leverkusen vs Dortmund and yeah you're right about the lack of defending but it makes for a very entertaining match. I couldn't believe what I was seeing when Emre Can scored that goal as he didn't score many when he used to play for Liverpool. I've actually noticed a lot of soft goals in the Bundesliga recently, simple balls over the top straight down the middle, poor marking and similar.

Did you see Klinsmann has quit as Berlin manager already? He came in, spent a load of money on new players, then resigned saying he didn't feel supported by the club. Weird.

Yeah you're right Ed, Lukaku wanted to go (as Young and Sanchez by the way-all forced their moves) so I can't blame Ole for not trying to hold them..but the club really should of take care of finding a replacement...cause whenever we might think of Lukaku (and I don't rate him high) that's at least 15 goals a season left United with him.
But when I think again now they've got one...even though a few months after - Ighalo on loan from China!...live long United fan..who even accepted a pay cut 3 times lower than what he earned so far (it's scary how much money this guy making in China😨)...so I guess I could do that job either(sitting on the bench all the time)...completely free!πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚

Wow, Lol, it's so weird you're saying that cause I know exactly how you feel...

My girlfriend and all her relatives(at least 3 of them anyway) are long time Juventus fans and I cant stand this team ever since the early/mid 90's when they've had that great team with 2x badjo's and Zidanne and so on and they still needed a regular pushes by the refs to win the league..so I'm exactly like you about it...all but Juventus.

Saying that after I saw the last two Inter games v Milan and Lazio I don't think they're good enough to make it, neither Lazio themselves, so should be Juve once again.

Yeah, tell me about it, I've been watching all the top 4 teams matches this weekend and I don't think any of them could defend properly, yeah Dortmund got the clean sheet but they're usually the worst in that regard but let's see now having a two defensive minded mids to support the defense in Witsel and Can could improve them...although they're not defensive minded side at all.

But I was amazed how poor Bayern were, don't get me wrong they were amazing going forward against Cologne, probably the best attacking display I've seen all season long from any team in Europe that first half but even if you think the game was over when it's 3-0 at the half (and Bayern probably should of had 6 or 7) Cologne created a lot of chances second half and could of had 3 or 4 easily themselves.

Still I was most impressed by Bayern from the title contenders and I would of even put them as my CL favorites if...their defending as a unit is at least average...and it isn't in my opinion.

Oh man I was really looking forward to Dortmund vs Frankfurt. It was on at a nice time for me (Saturday morning) and seeing how loose Dortmund have been at the back recently, I thought Frankfurt had a chance to pull off an upset. Silly me. Dortmund smashed them and it wasn't fun to watch. I can't even remember seeing Frankfurt have a single shot in the match.

Did you catch Real vs Barca today? I saw the second half and that must be the worst I can remember seeing Barcelona play. They could barely string three or four passes together. Madrid was pressing them hard and they could not cope with it. Real repeatedly pinched the ball inside Barca's own half and counter attacked over and over. It looked like Madrid wanted to win so much more than Barcelona did.

Also did you see the fan protest that stopped Hoffenheim vs Bayern? The visiting Bayern fans held up a banner insulting Hoffenheim's billionaire owner. So the players stopped playing around 77 minutes in and just stood in the middle juggling the ball with each other and having a chat. I suppose Hofffenheim didn't mind because they were already 6-0 down but it was a bizarre scene.

Yeah man, I've being watching that second half just like you do..but on a really small screen at Bet365..probably you know what I mean...and I thought it's been quite a decent game..I'm rarely watching that derby in particular...cause there's just too many simulations and dirty tricks...in 1/3 of the time there's always someone on the ground in these big derbies in Spain...

But I thought it's been quite a tenacious game as a whole really...from both sides...not seeing many Barcelona games but I thought they 'd be even worst from what I'm hearing from the ESPN FC pundits but in fact they've created a few chances themselves second half...just like you said the Madrid team was more eager to win the game..and I always thought they will win the league this season...of course I could be proved wrong but I don't think Barcelona could win another title not being at their best..there's a few of those in last years already.

I've been watching the game muted on the TV (there was an EPL game I've been watching online by the time) and I saw they've stopped the match and I unmuted the TV to understand what's going on...I was still not able to..just got there's a problem with some of the Bayern fans banners..but not exactly why is that.

If you ask me that's a disgrace for all sites involved...and I don't mean that Bayern fan...he and his banner could of just of been banished (or whatever the exact term is) of the ground...

I mean if I'm a Hoffenheim fan that has been paid for his ticket...i'd of thought..what the hell.. let the game just continue...if it's 0-9 so be it..I came here to see a football game...not 22 players plus refs chatting on the field...and pass the ball across between themselves...parody!?!

I could understand why all the Bayen high floor managers entered the field and tried to have a word with the ref's, opposite players and their own fans..they were risking to loose this game 0-3..where in fact leading 6-0...

But if I'm the German FA this game will be rescheduled and replayed...what was all the home fans applause for anyway...just don't get that..it was a parody...

Saw partially a couple of games from Bundesliga, you must admit the atmosphere is a bit odd without any crowd (even for me and I'm kind of used to that) or probably not existent at all.

Obviously VAR still in use but what was most awkward to me is the goal celebrations...quite abstemious compared to what we used to and I guess the lack of crowd is a factor for the players in that regard but to be honest I don't have any problem with it...have been sick of players overreacting after a goal anyway.

Missed the Leverkusen game, they look the team in form right now and playing like this could really push for the place in top 4 I guess.

Yes it is weird. Dortmund was doing the social distancing celebrations, but some of the other teams didn't seem to worry. It's silly really, they are running around touching, sweating and breathing on each other for 90 mins, but you don't want to get close enough to give the guy a pat on the back for scoring?

Did you know that in Korea one of the teams decided to fill up the empty stands with some fake supporters that turned out to be blow up sex dolls. And well now they are in quite a bit of trouble from the Korean football association who does not seem to have a sense of humour. Apparently they have disgraced Korean football at a time when they were getting some international viewers due to almost no-one else playing. πŸ˜‚

Yeah I noticed some of the other teams didn't bother complying with the rules...if there' any written rule about that at all...don't want to sound like a grumpy old man (which I amπŸ˜€)but I think they should be booked for that... could be a bit hypocritical that but,,,in the end you cant avoid a contact or enough distance during play but of course you could do it in a goal celebration.

Wow...of course I wasn't aware Ed, what a ridiculous idea...really πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.. well at least the so called fans are fully dressed...I've expected something else when you've mentioned the blow up dolls...even I would of watch the Korean League if these were naked...that would of be my favorite team reallyπŸ˜‰...what an idiots...πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Apparently in the Bundesliga they've been filling the TV coverages with a fake crowd noise Ed, I've missed the games from the last weekend so not sure exactly what to think but here's more about that in case you've missed that too.

Yeah they have been doing the same in Korea.

I read that in Denmark they are going to have virtual fans with people displayed around the ground via video link from their homes. It is good to read they will have people monitoring it. Surely it won't be long until some idiot tries to flash their dick on screen.

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚Lol....I mean LolπŸ˜‚...you killed me this time EdπŸ˜‰

I really must admit I wouldn't think of that but you're probably right...and there would be more than one idiot surely...so what would stewards suppose to do then...running around and turning off...devices πŸ˜‰...or whatever that would be displayed on.

But it's maybe a way to attract more female fans to the game...I guessπŸ˜‰

They just have to put that 18+ mark on the screenπŸ˜‰...what a times we live in...πŸ˜•
