No I haven't seen that one before. It is very funny and so true too.

How about this goal that wasn't a goal?

I haven't been watching much in terms of sports videos lately, but I have checked out the highlight reel of this guy that was drafted by the Detroit Lions, who is considered to be one of the hardest hitters in football. Some of those pops look really hard!

There's also this great Red Wings goal from earlier in the year. I remember watching it and thinking "Wow. That's impressive!"

👍 Good to see Red Wings goal mate I'm in a hockey mood now because of the playoffs and World Championship.

Just saw your post Ed, it's really amazing that they could miss that, saw that a few times in hockey - in and out of the net but there's video check so probably should be too in the football. Shame for that long distance screamer.

That was a nice little chipped goal. But the whole time I'm watching that ice hockey clip I was laughing at the commentator's attempts at pronouncing the guy's name. Its obviously a Greek name and while I'm not Greek I'm pretty sure they were completely butchering it.

Anyway you want to see some big hits? This is rugby league. No helmets, no padding, just a bunch of knuckle dragging halfwits smashing into each other for 80 minutes.

Big hockey fan? Who do you pull for? Obviously here I'm a Wings fan, but I love watching the whole international competitions. Love Russia, Finland, Sweden, as there's so much going on talent wise there.

Some vicious hits there mate, the commentator said for one the guys who was hit that "he is in Disneyland" 😀
But really respect the sport because of the honour and courage of the players, just the opposite of many football players with all the simulations.

You're not an US fan first of all 🤷 🙂
Yeah one of my favourite sports really, but I don't like the Russians ( some hockey players I mean) wright they are the best skaters but even and maybe especially their top players are mean and even wicked, not all of them of course. As a result of that I didn't like Red Wings too much either, sorry about that 😉
I'm a long time LA Kings fan, but also like the Blues and the Sharks who luckily facing each other at Western conference final.
Internationally like anyone who could beat the Russians 🙂
But seriously Canada of course and the US team epically when huge Kings players like Jonathan Quick and Dustin Brown are part of it. Finland are quite nice team too.

Yeah quite nasty, don't know what's this guy problem but it looks like he searching for something down there, anyway it looks to be painful for the opponents.

Yes that move is known in Australia now as "the Hoppa" after the guy's name - John Hopoate. He got a long ban from the game and was sacked by his club for doing it and he is regarded as a bit of a scumbag.

Hahaha that is crazy!

Apparently it is in Slovakia. I wish I knew the story as to why the train line runs between the stand and the field.

Here is a super long range goal scored the other night in a friendly between Australia and Greece. Maniatis scores from well inside his own half.

Yes a great shot but for me it's sometimes keeper's fault when something like that happens. In this case Australian keeper seems to be even out of his penalty area in the moment of the shot, great strike anyway 👍

Ah the Benny Hill music. It never gets old! 😂

Some of those are mind boggling own goals but I'm calling match fixing on #10 (the first one where he blasts it in with a beautiful finish after controlling the ball) and possibly #2 (the Chinese goalkeeper).

Those are my favourites too 😉 Looks suspicious when you're so sloppy or so good 😉

I guess his excuse is that he's one of the brilliant managers out there.

I love that. #5 Dean Saunders was absolutely brilliant (throw in off the keeper's back).

But you want to see the best set piece ever? It has to be from Brazil vs Zaire, 1974 world cup.
