Premier League

The English Premier League is one of the most entertaining football leagues in the world and I would love to discuss all that happens there along with all connected to the PL betting of course.
For example I'm in shock the way standings looks at the moment and particularly the fact that Leicester City has a realistic chances to do the unthinkable and become a champions, who were thought of that before the season starts. I think the odds for that to happen were somewhere around 5000 😲 before the beginning.

Probably shouldn't say that ... but Man City - Liverpool was really entertaining game 😉.
I've had the feeling even first half the game would end with a draw, just both teams have had just about equal chances for goal and not marked penalties so it was probably a fair result in the end, probably should ended it up 3-3 though.

Spurs have done it but in another day Southampton could it clinched something from that game, the second goal for Spurs came after Sutton had their best spell in the match and missed couple of good chances, the feeling at the HT was like Spurs leading 2-0 in an even game.

United won but again not convincingly, obviously there's life beyond Ibrahimovic (which I never doubt anyway) they are a lot faster and dangerous on counters without him, he usually wants the ball every-time United attacking and that just making them too one dimensional and predictable despite all his goals.
After 2-0 in around 60th minute Mourinho parked the bus without any reason (team played quite well before that) but with 8-9 defensive players on the field he invited Boro in their penalty area and home side almost made them pay for that, for sure a better side than Boro would do it.

Oh yes Man City v Liverpool was the Premier League at its crazy entertaining best. Relentless attacking, awful defending, and a lack of quality and composure when it really matters. I hope Lallana and Aguero aren't feeling suicidal after that game! I agree both sides could have had 2 or 3 penalties each and a little better finishing and it may have been an all time classic with loads of goals.

How about Lingard's goal? That was a screamer.

Arsenal have clocked off for the season and Man United are looking good for 4th now with games in hand over Liverpool but they do have some very hard games to come. So if they do it they will have earned it. Liverpool have no more games against any top six teams and a lot of mid table teams that aren't going to be relegated with nothing much to play for. So you would expect them to drop points along the way! 😕

Yeah nice one, although that was 4th or 5th dangerous counter they've done in the game and a classy team should score at lest 2 or 3 those, Lingard finaly decided to shoot in thi situation after in the previous situations he always passed the ball behind the defence for Rashford, this goal remind me one of the Beckham's ones againtst Spurs once.

As for Liverpool - United 4th place race...yeah I think it would be exactly between those two teams, tough to believe United can get past City for example, for all they did this season I think Liverpool deserve their spot in top 4, I already said earlier that I expect Arsenal and United to miss top 4 in the end but still could be a tight race in the end I think.

It's time for some PL action tomorrow after two long weeks of an international break, Liverpool - Everton is the early game and should be exiting I think, maybe Everton didn't won for too long against Liverpool and they are in pretty good form lately but Liverpool really dominated the Merceyside derby in the last years so..I don't have an idea how this is going to end..a draw maybe?
Certainly hope to be an entertainer.

Usually I am confident when Liverpool play Everton. Everton's record in recent seasons in this fixture is abysmal. But I'm nervous about this game. Lallana is out and the Brazilians have been half way around the world and played 2 games in a week. And Liverpool's bench is pretty thin. I'm tipping Everton or draw! (hopefully my jinx kicks in in 3 .. 2 .. 1.. )

The other big one is between Arsenal and Manchester City. Its a must win for Arsenal or their season may as well be over, but they look like they are in the midst of disintegrating and I think Man City can take them out.

Well Liverpool have done it again v Everton Ed, if half of their meetings for the season were against them they would probably be top of the table by a margin every season 😉
I have the feeling that if a Liverpool player miss-kicking or shooting the ball awkwardly it would still go in...I'm not saying they didn't deserved the victory though..just they've had been even lucky sometimes in the recent years against local rivals.
This time Liverpool were dominant and when they score with the first decent attack for the match it was obvious this game is going to be tough afternoon for Everton.
Mane scored nice goal but I think there's a little bit of luck involved in it too while Coutinho's one was brilliant, I'm not going to use words like genius or something like that when I speak of a Liverpool player but certainly his goal was incredible. I think his back to his best now and Liverpool fans should be exiting about it.
The 3'rd one really kill the intrigue in the match but I think Liverpool should it hold on the ball longer after that - passing, keeping the ball, that's what great teams doing when they have the lead in such games. Everton still created some half chances because Liverpool didn't do that and I think if one of those was gone in the match would it be very much alive despite all the Liverpool dominance before that.
They looking now like a genuine top 4 contender and I have no doubts that they will finish 4th in worst possible scenario.

So Chelsea lost finally and we could have a ittle bit more intrigue till end of season..
Spurs won and I think if anybody could threaten Chelsea in anyways should be them, although Liverpool looks to be in great form lately too but it's relly up to Chelsea to loose it.
Arsenal - Man City was a good game, not great but interesting and I think Wenger boys steeped up, City was slightly better side and probably they could of win it but I think the draw was the more realistic result. City never looked like a tittle threat this season but I think they woulld be much stronger next- especially with a few reinfircemnts mainly in defence, I have no doubt they'd spend what is nessesary trough summer and hopefully I'm wrong but I think they'd be the team to beat next season.
Now I'm certain Arsenal and United will miss the top 4, last week it was just 90% of certainty 😉

Yeah you're did it again Ed, forgot to acknowledge that before 👍

But if we speaking of tonight’s game that would be a right prediction 😉

United couldn’t defeated Everton tonight, in fact they were maybe lucky to get even a point from the game and missed another chance to put pressure on Man City who are sitting 4th at the moment. So the best chance for United playing the CL next season should be winning the UEFA League something which would surprise me with that level of performance although there isn't teams of their calibre there.

Oh man I checked the score and it was the 91st minute, 1-0 Everton. That was an ideal result for me. But alas Man United kept their unbeaten run going... what a team they are!

Yes I am being sarcastic here as by all reports they were awful again.

Still, another good result for Liverpool. With all their best players dropping like flies with injuries, they are going to need more of them.

A yeah the unbeaten run,😀 if this streak continue till the end of season...they might finish 5th 🥳
The media loves pointing those stats isn't they, and Mourinho said they improved from the performances of the last games so it's all good for United...I guess.

Chelsea outsmarted City tactically I think and although we couldn't say Spurs are out if yet, it all looks to be going their way this season.

Liverpool missed a good chance to increase the difference between them and next teams in standings although I don't see how United or Arsenal to put a real pressure on the top 4 teams with their level of performance.

Down the bottom is also very interesting, Sunderland and Boro looking doomed now , Hull getting great results lately and they're out of the relegation zone right now but it looks to be not only between them and Swansea but also the London sides Palace and West Ham. The hammers in particular really sucks lately and they should be very much worried I think.

Oh Liverpool.. you've done it to me again. They aren't going to make this end of season easy are they?

I thought Spurs were cooked with only a couple of minutes to play. Then I checked the scores and saw they won 3-1 and could not believe it. Chelsea got the 3 points but how lucky were they? What about the miss from Stones at the end? I think he's trying to take the title from Lallana for worst miss of the season.

I think you're right about West Ham. Hull are in form and Palace and Swansea have been picking up points here and there. The Hammers are about to hit the big red panic button, if they haven't already. Their next two games are against Swansea and Sunderland. Big big games!

Chill out mate, Liverpool would be in, one way or another, but yeah looks like they will make you sweat ..

Guess what was my bet Ed, ..yes ..of course..Swansea draw no bet 😕
I'm not so sure about those Stones miss Ed, there was great camera angel replay which showed that the ball was header tipped from his team-mate (I think Company it was) and completely change the direction of it and in fact the ball came behind for Stones, without that tip it would be a tap in for Stones so I don't think it was his fault, just unlucky.
Check the replays if you could found that from the out line, I didn't saw that too at first, not before the commentators mentioned it.
You always need that little bit of luck and you usually get it when you're done the job the right way, City just don't looked like a real threat second half for Chelsea I think despite some misses and it was because of the tactical change from Conte at the brake.

Oh no.. one of those occasions when you could have cashed out early and got almost the same payout as letting it ride.

I'll have to look for the replay of Stones' miss again. I thought he just straight up missed a sitter.

Did you see how my kiss of death worked on West Ham? As soon as I wrote them off and said how good Swansea were going, of course they beat them 1-0.

Yes but I thought the same way, 😀
West Ham looks to be pretty much out of trouble now 8 points clear of the relegation zone, obviously it would be between Swansea, Hull and Palace for the last spot, Bournemouth not quite out of it yet but they should be fine and I can't see Allardyce's team going down so it really should be between Swansea and Hull, too bad, I kind of like both these teams but I still hope to see Palace going down, not seems very likely though.

Top 4 all winning yesterday, so a good news for you Ed, Chelsea almost there, it wouldn't be a problem.

Really wrong decision from the ref who had send off Larsson made United match a lot easier that it looked to be before that but everything going wrong for Sunderland this season.

Everton - Leicester game was a great attraction, I wish more teams in this league playing this way, it would be great for the game.

So do we have an ongoing title race all of a sudden?
I thought it suppose to be over by now 😕
But Spurs not won the league for so long that you never know how their fortune is going to turn...in fact I guess their winless streak is second longest to maybe only what was Leicester's one...and it was the eternity 8p
So can Spurs do it? I think their schedule is a bit tougher than Chelsea's with upcoming home ties v Arsenal and MU, still an FA CUP clash between the league leaders to come too in what could be a moral booster.

United young guns showed there's a life beyond Zlatan, although it's still uncertain if he is going to stay for the next season too. I think Mourinho finally started to rotate the squad a bit and that gave a results immediately.
But is still unlikely for them to take a top 4 spot I think, from what I saw they have by far the toughest schedule in the League till the end of it so EL looks their best chance for CL football next season for them.

Hahah yes it looks like Chelsea has been hit by the old "squeaky bum time", as Alex Ferguson used to say! I think it is great. I hope Spurs can continue their run and keep the pressure on Chelsea. I took a look at Chelsea's fixtures though and they look relatively "easy" with none of the top teams to play apart from Everton who are in a bit of form. Also Chelsea have played many fewer games this season with no European competition so you would think they will be physically fresher in the final month than Spurs. Its interesting that they have to play each other in the FA Cup soon.

I watched West Brom play Liverpool which was an awful game but a good result for me. Watching Alberto Moreno failing to pass a ball into an empty net from about 40 yards was one of those rare moments watching professional football when you think that yes I actually could have done better in that situation... and you would be right!

Then I saw the starting teams for United vs Chelsea, with no Zlatan and Ashley Young captain etc, and I thought that Mourinho has given up on the league and is saving everything for Europe (I still do think that btw), so I didn't bother watching and went to bed. I was pretty shocked to see the result in the morning.

Agree Ed, Chelsea should be fresher but I think Carragher it was or Gary Neville who said that Spurs are too good to not win something, and maybe they are right, Chelsea still good favourite for the league but maybe Spurs would have some luck in the cup.

I didn't saw the whole game but from what I saw that was one of the best performances from United this season and who knows maybe just Chelsea runs out of form right now.

A bad news for you Ed, with that Liverpool defeat but Palace really made an unbelievable hat-trick with a wins over Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool lately, who would of thought that,we have to admit to Big Sam he's done his magic again and Palace are out of any threat now.
In the same time that result bring United into top 4 race once again, didn't look likely to me but the upcoming Manchester derby could answer some of the questions I guess, you probably looking to 0-0 six red card game, a Ed?
Are you worried about Liverpool top 4 place now? I guess you didn't dee that Palace loss coming too.

Will comment here the two FA Cup semifinals because the lack of a specific FA cup thread 😉

Chelsea shown once again that their best English side this season and I'm saying that after I've had seen the other FA Cup tie plus United and Liverpool games all played today.
It's amazing how inefficient team Spurs are, especially in the bigger games, they could ave al the possession on the ball second half( didn't saw the first) but with first two shots they took for the half they scored twice so Spurs could really pretend for the best team that never wins anything reward - in fact almost every Spurs team could be rewarded for that - I think I've seen them winning just one league cup in my life time.

Today's semifinal was quite exiting either, I was really glad to see Arsenal finally fought tough and win a close game against god opponent, if they make efforts like that every game they would be certainly higher in the league standings.

In the end in a season that we thought that it's been very competitive Chelsea could end winning a domestic double which should be a remarkable achievement.

Ah well see I never underestimate Liverpool's ability to crack right at the critical moment. While I guess not many people expected that result I can't say that I am very surprised. It would have been better if they had to play Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, Man City and Man United in their last five games. They still have a good shot at it as the other teams need to play each other but they certainly don't have any momentum and a lot of crucial injuries isn't helping them either right now.

So Spurs still keep the pressure on Chelsea with the win over Palace tonight, great long distance strike from Ericsen gave them a win, 4 point gap with still 5 games to go and both teams have tough games upcoming, Chelsea at Everton and Spurs v Arsenal.

Quite funny Arsenal goal wins the game for them against Leicester, the shot was quite awkward but Huth redirects it in his own net.

I Didn't saw any of the Sunday's games but I've seen the goal of the season maybe today from Can Liverpool, it would be hard for anyone to overcome that, amazing overhead kick.

With United failure and Liverpool win, I think it's clear who will be the teams in the top 4 this season, it would be big achievement for the Reds I think which they deserved it.

Just about all the results have gone Liverpool's way in the past few days. Very lucky. Who would have thought that Emre Can could do that? What a goal!

Yes indeed varver, looked liked the perfect bycicle kick, isn't it, even I could admit that even though it comes from a player and team that I don't fancy too much 😜
