I read today on ESPN that Chelea may pursue Cristiano Ronaldo for their team next year.
As someone who is a moderate fan of soccer and not really into the whole scene as of yet, I think my opinions on this may not be the most accurate but here it is:
I think this would be potentially huge for Chelsea. Their forwards this year haven't gotten as many goals as Ronaldo has himself. As they are down a bit, this could be huge.
What do you think? Do they get him, and if they do, what impact does it have for the Premier League?

StaffWhen it comes to moneybags Chelsea you can never say never. But I think they might be a little gun shy after spending £50m on Torres and seeing very little value out of that.
The other problem they have is tax. Players in England are taxed much higher on their salaries than in Spain, so the players on megabucks in Spain need to be paid ridiculously high wages in England to compensate for the difference.
If they got him it would no doubt improve them as he is a superstar. But he won't solve all their problems as they have an ageing side and they really need a bit of an overhaul if they are to compete with the other rich man's plaything Manchester City and Man United too.
