What do you think about Black Jack counting?

5 replies • Last post

Card counting is an aspect of blackjack. It's a game within a game, showcasing human ingenuity and daring.

What do you all think? Is card counting a fair strategy or an unfair advantage? Ever tried it or faced someone who did? Would love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

I have read and seen a lot about card counting. I don't really think it's unfair advantage, because I don't believe card counting really works. It may for a while, but in the long run casino always wins.

The entire idea of blackjack card counting is interesting. With the huge number of decks at most tables these days, card counting has lost nearly all of its practicality. I've heard of times where casinos will know a player is counting cards and let them go, either because they're bad at it or the math isn't going to dramatically change in their favor.

My thoughts are, I wish I knew how on a consistent basis lol. Slim, you're absolutley right, they use so many decks just to prevent card counting. Players found a loophole, the Casinos found a better one, house wins lol.

At the end, I think card counting may work for a little while if you really master it, but sooner or later you'll lose or the casino will notice you and block you from entering 🙂

I always thought the same thing, no matter how good you are the Casino will eventually cop on to the fact that there being counted and stop you from continuing to play there, it happens here alot in Ireland in our land based casinos
