EcoPayz takes on Skrill for the crown of stupidity

11 replies • Last post

As many people here would know I have an extremely low opinion of Skrill. They have, hands down, the most useless and non functional support process I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with, anywhere, ever. I once had a Skrill account locked for more than 6 months while unable to get anyone to reply to a simple email to explain why and what needed to be done to unlock it.

But it appears EcoPayz is saying "hold my beer". The other day I log in and try to send some money to someone. No dice. There is some kind of error that won't allow me to transfer the money, but won't refund the transaction either. The money is stuck somewhere in limbo with no explanation. So I email them to ask what is going on. To their credit they easily outdo Skrill and reply within a few hours. Apparently I need to provide all sorts of identification documents, a selfie photo, a selfie photo while holding the ID document and a piece of paper with EcoPayz and the date written on it (a third arm would help here), recent utility bill etc. I have supplied all of this to them before of course.

Knowing that arguing that last point would be futile I waste some time getting the docs, zipping them up and sending them to EcoPayz. The next day I get an email saying can you send the documents as a PDF or a JPG instead of a zip file. Ok, so I know I'm dealing with a moron here. I try to politely explain that is exactly what I have sent them, they just need to unzip the file. The next day, no acknowledgement, just another email asking me to send in a photo of the back of my drivers license, which of course I could have sent them if they had only asked for that in the first place.

Another day passes. Now I get an email saying that I have been replying to their emails from the wrong email address. I use a gmail feature called task-specific email addresses so I can append something like "+ecopayz" to my email address so that I know the email is specific to them. i.e the address I use with EcoPayz is like "[email protected]".

This comes in handy when dealing with casinos because I can tell which ones sold me out when I start getting spammed to the unique address, which happens often. But the problem is you can't reply from that specific alias because it all gets routed to the main email address.

So it is impossible for me to reply from the address they want me to, and of course this was not a problem when I was sending over the documents they wanted, only now after I have done everything they requested. If and when this gets resolved it will be bye bye EcoPayz for me. Never again.

It seems that Skrill and Ecopayz now too are just becoming worse and worse. I still use Skrill as but I'm not particularly a huge fan of either Skrill or Neteller and Ecopayz I haven't used so far. Besides the Skrill fees for withdrawals for non VIPs (never managed to get to that level) are quite high.

Well how about that. I finally got it unlocked after a week of stuffing around. All funds immediately withdrawn!

😀...you probably should of glue that id doc on your forehead Ed.. ever thought of that..😉

I remember some id verifications at certain sites being very annoying processes...once took me 6 hours to match all the site demands just for the photo itself and another time a whole day...never spent so many hours taking selfies in my whole live...collectively.

Still EcoPayz transfer option seems available at the shop Ed, you should probably remove it if you don't want to deal with them again?

I opened a Eco Payz Acount earlier this year and used it only once, to claim 20 € from a online forum in exchange for "chips" they gave me as reward just for using their site. Nice people
I can send the link if anyone wants to check them out.

Anyways, the plan was to wire the 20€ to my Bankacount. Ecco payz charged me 5.80€ for it. Of course I cancelled this. I transferred the 20€ to lapalingo Casino instead and then to my bank. After not using them 3 or 4 months I couldn't log in anymore because I changed my mobile number. There is no option on their site to change it straight away. They needed 4 days to do it. The support is very strange.

I have a similar Problem with Skrill. I signed up some time ago but never used it at all. I only remembered having it when browsing the Shop at LCB forum. I have 40€ in chips there and could exchange them for real money on Skrill. I only ever had 1 password for Skrill but they didn't accept it. They didn't let me do a password reset.
"To get access to your account please contact support"
Okay. I clicked the link provided. The Skrill support chat. I wrote the issue in the window provided, then clicked send.....and got this back" message not send. To contact Skrill support you must be logged into your account." 😳🧐😳🤯 I'm fed up with these online pay sites/Bank startups. I blame Wire Card

Got to love Skrill, after logging into my account today, they've decided I have to do another verification this time for my bank account. Somehow, whenever I want to withdraw funds, there's a reason for a random check- have done this way too many times..

Yes indeed. I'm thinking of just making it fully bitcoin and stop dealing with these parasitic e-wallets that cause everyone so much trouble, and charge ridiculous fees for the privilege.

Skrill is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. Neteller is a close runner up and EcoPayz has moved into bronze medal position. 🤮

The only ones I still use and never had problems with are klarna and Trustly. After the Wirecard Desaster Deutsche Bank once refused a withdrawal from a casino. They kept it somewhere for 5days, me and the casino at war with each other of course, then they send iback t to the casino.🤷🏼‍♂️ The casino need to prove they are real , Deutsche Bank said "we are taking fraud and money laundering very seriously. No joke. The deutsche Bank said that. Bye bye deutsche Bank. German Banks in paranoia mode triggers always paranoia in Brüssel. And then GameStop and Reddit happen. And Krypto is something like the Hitler of fiance they say.. in Germany is no tax on wins from gambling. Just to try to control Krypto somewhat they added trading laws to it. And laundering charges. I exchange 200euro into Krypto, play in a casino and win Krypto worth 800euro. I can take up to 600 out of it or the tax collector is coming after me. Everything more than 600 has to stay in the wallet for a year. 🤯

So we've cleared it out our top 3! I thought Skrill and Netteller have the same owners?

But I'm not bothered with any of them, haven't used my Skrill account for the last 2 years probably.

Skrill called back. Just in case they can't get the old account working, they called to make sure that's really me and not Loki they dealing with. They wanted to call again in the afternoon but didn't. About 8pm I opened Skrill and could log on. Thank you Skrill and f....off for not letting me know about it.
