My experience with SlotsRoom Casino

I noticed that CL reviewed SlotsRoom Casino and decided to give it a try. I did not expect much because this casino is part of Entertainment Software Group NV which tends to have onerous deposit requirements and very tight slots.

I went ahead and downloaded their software and, using their 200% welcome bonus, deposited $55, which gave me $165 to play with. Their software is a work in progress. It opened a window where you could see a grid of pictures of the games. But when I tried to login by clicking the login button on top, two different login forms came up. I had to put my login information three times because after I filled the 2 login forms, nothing happened, and one login form reopened prompting me to fill it again.

I was playing $2-2.50 per spin and needed to clear $6600. Each game took some time to download. I was able to only try 6 games because I was mostly getting $0 from each spin and lost my money quickly. The highest money I made was $7 in one spin. I needed to clear $6600 but was able to play only $267. (Remember I started with $165).

Another issue I found was that for each game you clicked to play, a separate window opened and remained so. I did not realize that until I got a warning that I have reached the maximum of games that can be played at the same time. Also, while each opened window will correctly show your balance, the window where all the games are does not update. As a result, it still showed that I had $165 even when I ran out of money and could no longer play.

In sum, if you like Casinomax and its sister casinos, you will like SlotsRoom. In my view, there are better ones.

Thanks newflorida that is some great feedback. We didn't run into the same login or multiple game issues you had when playing there. No doubt you had a brutal run on the games, though $2.50 per spin on $165 bankroll can be playing with fire on RTG games which can be high variance.

SlotsRoom's 200% bonus with 60xB wagering is poor value, no doubt. The odds are stacked against you. For example if the games are set to 95% RTP, on average you expect to lose double the bonus amount by completing the wagering, which means most of the time you're going to bust before getting to that point. If the RTP is set lower it is even worse, and we know that is possible but there's no way to tell for sure with RTG games.

We don't really consider bonus value any more when evaluating casinos because they change over time and often a new casino will open with a decent bonus but a few months down the track it is changed to be far less attractive. And in the vast majority of cases bonuses are poor value across the board. The main things we look at re bonuses are any traps in the rules rather than the individual offers. i.e. we'll note if they low capped winnings, low max bet sizes, or other traps.

I actually dropped the casino an email referencing this thread for feedback and they have looked into the issues and apparently have resolved them. This was their reply:

The login situation was resolved pretty quickly, the multiple game opening issue will also be fixed today. That was in place due to a bug on RTG's side which meant we had to open them in that way. This bug has now been fixed and we'll roll out the updated and more regular way of playing the games without the popups. So hopefully players will no longer get lost or confused from now on.
