Website Access Tab - Whats the go?

9 replies • Last post

What's the "GO" with these new website access tabs that have been popping up the last 4-5 days on various online casino's for us Aussies ?

I'm kind of feeling damned if you do and damned if you don't click it.
So far I have avoided clicking either and been able to get rid of the tab by navigating to my "account tab" and then back to the home page.

IMO if I click "Decline" because obviously I AM in Australia, then I run the risk of being blocked from the site.
If I click "Confirm" then I perhaps run the risk of being refused winnings because I supposedly lied about my location.

Yes or no ?

Most likely its a disingenuous attempt at avoiding being chased by ACMA, while at the same time continuing to accept Australians.

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.
Post in our forums to earn CLchips which can be used to buy real prizes in our CLchips shop.

So.......in the event that I am unable to circumvent the tab and are forced to click that damn button, which button would you click ?

Wow. Even we didn't have it that bad here in the States (at least as far as I know). Sheesh!

Sooooooooo I was forced to click the button and well.......another casino I have been a long time player at gone down the drain. Can no longer play there.

No wonder people end up playing at dodgy casino's.

Playamo, Bitstarz, Oshi, LevelUp and King Billy ALL now have this button on their homepage.

Time to either give it all up or..........move to Malta 🤔

Oh its so damn frustrating and upsetting Slim.
My money, my choice what I do with it, but not according to the Aust Govt and the moralistic busy bodies here that have decided that its "their" choice not mine how I spend my money.
YET, we have ad after ad back to back on tv advertising sports betting online and THATS legal.
Sheeeeeshhhh(f) 🔥 (f)

I agree with you, it's infuriating the number of spots betting ads there are on TV. There is definitely a double standard here in Australia, Ev_P

Despite all the talk about protecting people, it's all about self interest. If they were really worried about protecting problem gamblers then there would be a blanket ban on any type of gambling including lotteries and sports betting, they would take the pokies out of all RSL clubs, shut down the casinos but that would risk them losing an election and upsetting their financial backers.

Double standards for sure Klaw.
Its all about the clubs having the monopoly on pokie takings here. They dont want offshore companies getting what they feel is rightfully theirs. Everybody complains about gambling addicts yet clubs stay open here 24/7 as you well know AND they continue to offer incentives like random progressives and "spin the wheel" incentives and point systems on your club cards YET thats all ok. Sports betting with multi options that OBVIOUSLY costs more with "more chances" but oh thats ok too.
Double standards indeed.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr
