Where do Australians play now

21 replies • Last post

Hi,

Have not played online for years, back in the days of 32red, guts, Videslots etc

Is there anywhere reputable that Australians are playing at all ?
If so can you recommend something please ?

Hi Sensai, welcome to Casinolistings ๐Ÿ™‚ I am not from Australia so unfortunately I can't really recommend anything. However, I am sure that CL-Ed will be able to give you some suggestions.

So Australia has seen some upheaval with laws regarding online betting. This has led a lot of those great casinos to pull out of the market for fear of reprisals. There are still some good spots to play at, and you can see them in the recommended section. BitStarz and Oshi Casino are the highest-rated spots. I've heard good things about BitStarz, but I'm not allowed to play there as I'm from the States.

Why suggest a Casino that does not allow Australian players ?
Bet365 Casino does not accept players from Australia.

I do not like other platforms and prefer Microgaming and Netent these are all gone now and no other games compare to what MG and Netent had.

Hi Sensai. Correct, Bet365 won't allow Aussies to play in their casino, though you can use their sports betting facilities.

The pickings are slim for Australians these days I'm afraid. Almost all the good operators left the market and there has been an explosion of rogue operators launching Aussie themed casinos that are eager to rip people off. Complaints have skyrocketed and punters are getting caned. A good rule of thumb to go by is the more Aussie sounding a casino is, the more likely it is to be a scam. So avoid any casino going with things like "pokies", fair go, dinkum, koalas, kangaroos, meat pies, and holden cars like the plague. I'm sure you get my drift.

Microgaming and NetEnt games are completely gone for Australians these days and are blocked at the server level by the game suppliers themselves. If you do run into a casino allowing Australians to play them for real money, stop immediately as this indicates that the games are pirated and the RNG is under the dodgy casino's control.

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.

Pretty much any provider that has a Malta or UK license is off limits for Australians. Off the top of my head Play'n Go and Thunderkick are a no go, not sure about Playson. We're down to providers that have no recognised license and/or ones that allow play using cryptocurrency, and the rogues. For example RTG, BGaming / Softswiss, Endorphina, Betsoft, Pragmatic Play games that aren't branded PP but some other company they invented to try to hide it (can't recall the name but they are exactly the same) etc.

Expect an end to being able to play at any reputable or half decent casino very soon but I can guarantee a new wave of rogue operators to appear promising us a fair deal but never paying out as is the current trend of targeting Australians new to online casinos.

Thankfully if your a current member of Bitstarz, King Billy, Jokaviproon etc they are staying ahead of the ISP blockages by simply changing their website addresses so Aussies can still play for the time being anyway

https://www.acma.gov.au/articles/2021-02/acma-moves-block-more-illegal-g...

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is set to request Australian internet service providers (ISPs) block more illegal offshore gambling websites.

We urge Australian users of these sites to withdraw their money now.

The sites to be blocked are:

Syndicate Casino
7 Bit Casino
Casino Nic
Fast Pay Casino
iLucki
King Billy Casino
Woo Casino
BitStarz
Loki Casino
Golden Star Casino
Gunsbet
Spinago
Joo Casino
Bet Chain
Get Slots
Joka VIP Room
King Johnnie
Wild Card City
Following numerous complaints about these services, the ACMA undertook investigations which found them to be operating in breach of the Interactive Gambling Act 2001.

Website blocking is one of a range of enforcement options to protect Australians against illegal online gambling. Since the ACMA made its first blocking request in November 2019, 222 illegal gambling websites have been blocked.

Over 100 illegal services have pulled out of the Australian market since we started enforcing new illegal offshore gambling rules in 2017.

Website blocking provides a valuable opportunity to alert the public to illegal gambling services through the messaging that appears when there is an attempt to access the site.

More information about online gambling is available on the ACMA's website including a register of licensed interactive wagering services to check legal services in Australia, and to make a complaint about an illegal site.

Jokaviproom (which is invite only) offer Play'n'go and Playson plus a few new smaller providers that have versions of some popular Netent, microgaming etc... slots as well as the usual list available to Australians.

Jokaviproom have recently opened a sister site called JackpotJill which currently has excellent bonus terms including no slot restrictions and a $20 max bet with a bonus which I've never come across (or will ever be able to afford to use either lol).

They offered me a no deposit $100 chip with a $1000 cashout 40x wagering which I used and played for ages but eventually lost and consequently enticed me to deposit there with an attractive 5 first deposit bonus structure.

Kingbilly have these providers currently as do similar Direx owned sites though for some reason different casinos under this name have varied providers which Australians can play which I don't understand.

All Providers

Bgaming
Booming
Booongo
Bsg
Electricelephant
Evoplay
Fantasma
Felix Gaming
Fugaso
Habanero
Igtech
Isoftbet
Lucky
Mascot
Maxwingaming
Nolimit City
Northernlights
Nucleus
Playson
Quickspin
Relax
Thunderkick
Tomhorn
Wazdan
Yggdrasil

Edit: I have no affiliation with any of these casinos I'm just another sucker making donations to them with absolutely no reward

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure Jokaviproom is just a renamed casino that used to be called Jokaroom. It had plenty of complaints and recently shut down and some people did not get paid. Only now it has reappeared with a slightly different name. Another member here posted about it a while ago.

Se this thread: Jokaroom unauthorised transactions

CL-Ed Back some time I asked you if you have any good vibes in Australia about JOKAROOM as they had at the time been pushing their site every day for weeks in NZ
I filled in their membership but when I received many Russian replies to deposit at whatever bonus I closed my account.๐Ÿ’ฉ
Currently there does appear to be no shortage of dubious sites promoting from around the world. Hence your site promotions are a great help to start with for new and old players๐Ÿ‘

I highly recommend Bitstarz and Ignition Casino (better for poker) to Australian players. If you have any problems accessing the sites, simply follow this guide to configure Google DNS which circumvents ISP-level site blocking.

These are the most reputable sites available to us. Good luck!

I've noticed almost all of the Dama (Direx) casinos now have a pop up when they load asking you to confirm that you're accessing the site from outside of Australia.

Seems like a way to circumvent legal risk or to appease their licensor but could also be problematic when it comes to cashing out and the casino decides not to honour it on those grounds.

The same thing is happening with the reputable RTG casinos I play at except they just straight up block access.

LCB has removed Australia from its search filters too, throwing us to the rogue casino wolf pack.

Sad times.

Bitstarz, Melbet, Yabby, True flip, mBit are the only casinos I trust that haven't barred Australians yet. Oshi was another favourite but they recently barred us too.

So before you go to bed tonight, say a little prayer for all the Aussie punters. A cookups about to start and kangaroo is on the menu.

I dunno.. should we all move to New Zealand? ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‚ It wouldn't be the only good reason these days.

Yep.
It's not a good feeling being dictated to on how we can spend OUR money.
Now I could understand if I were on welfare and relying on government assistance and such but when I have worked all my adult life and paid taxes for every penny I have earned then its a bloody hard pill to swallow having my spending policed. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿ‘ฎ
