Bovada trying to scam me out of $15k +

16 replies • Last post

Here is the story I also have proof of everything l'll state :

I've been using Bovada for a few years and I've never encountered any problems. I was able to withdraw and deposit funds with absolutely no problems since the day I created my account.

On 12/20/2020 I had a pretty good feeling about 8 teams who could potentially make the playoffs, clinch a spot, or maybe even get an first round bye with a win. So I proceeded to put together an 8 team 6pt teased parlay. I wagered $1000 to win 14k. This was the most I've ever bet on a parlay with that many teams so yes I watched every game and monitored scores all day.

Long story short my final team covered and a few minutes after the clock hit 0.00 I had 15k in total available in my account. I didn't use any bonuses so everything was able to be withdrawn.

As a sports bettor I've literally loss so many parlays on the last leg or even loss by .5 point so I was very excited my family and friends were aware of this so we all celebrated together.

After everyone left my home I tried to cash out not knowing it would be the beginning of a nightmare.

I initiated a withdrawal through Bitcoin. It wasn't processed and canceled and afterwards I received a email stating " Hi,

Your account has been temporarily disabled and currently under review. You will be contacted via email with further details once the investigation into your account has been concluded."

I immediately contacted Bovada's customer support service 24/7 chat team and was told all I needed to do was provide a selfie with an photo of my ID separately and my account would be verified in 24-48 hours. After we ended the chat I sent in my documents and the selfie with my ID thinking I would regain access to my account in 24-48 but that wasn't the case.

So after 48 hours passed I contacted the same 24/7 chat team again because I still couldn't login and this time they told me "It came to their attention I shared similar information with someone else." I was advised that he had to send in the same information I previously had to upload(A selfie with their ID ) and once they did that I would have regain access after the verification was completed.

A few hours later during same day the guy told me that he received an email saying they verified him. I got excited because I thought that was the only thing holding me back. Mind you guys I want to reiterate I've cashed out a few hundred and a few grand a few times before and I've never a once had any problems or issues with Bovada.

Almost a week had passed and I still didn't have access so I contacted Bovada and asked them why. This time I was told my account will be disabled and is now currently under review and that there will be no accurate timeframe in which I'll regain access.

I have been told so many different things over the past few weeks and I'm currently still locked out my account. This whole situation is a disaster.

If you're a sports bettor you're aware of how hard it is to win, especially parlays. I never thought I would have this problem with Bovada they actually were one of the few online sportsbooks that I actually trusted. I don't know if I'll lose my money or account but I've done research and it seems like this has happened to tons of people and there's a chance they'll keep giving me the run around or maybe even permanently close my account with my funds. I've reached out to them on Twitter to only be blocked. So now I'm here just trying to spread awareness and maybe learn anything I can do to concur this situation.

I've never done anything to violate their terms of service since day one but here I am today still with no access to my account almost 3 weeks later.

Besides this situation Bovada has been great to me but going through this really hurts especially after a big win.

Anyhow that's my story and everything I said is the truth I hope Bovada makes this right.

If anyone has any suggestions or tips that will help me with this situation please feel free to let me know.

Thanks in advance 🙏🏼

It sounds like they suspect you of having multiple accounts, or being part of a syndicate. We've received complaints about this from players at Bovada a few times in the past. Most of the time the person was paid no problem after they finished off their verification process (provided they weren't multi-accounters of course).

Wait it out a couple of days and let us know how it goes.

I definitely don't have multiple accounts and I've been waiting for about two weeks now but I'll come back and post an update in a few days. It's great to know that people have been paid after this process so thanks for the info.

Sadly I won't be getting paid and no I'm not underaged. They told me they would give me my last 20 deposits back but all of the winnings would be confiscated.

I have experienced many failures in withdrawals from online casinos, especially for local sites in my country.

just intend to share stories, every case of failed withdrawal that I experienced, every statement they convey is always out of reach and very absurd, even though we really don't break the rules, and mostly happen when getting big wins.

My advice is to just take the resolution they give you, and try to find another place that you think is safer, of course

we know 15k is a lot, but 0 is nothing.. so decesion is yours. good luck bro

Ehh what? That excuse doesn't add up whatsoever. And Bovada has generally been pretty good about paying out much larger amounts so no offense but it seems like you're not telling us the full story or something. What was support's exact quote in why they weren't paying you?

They told me after doing their investigation they determined I was under aged. (I'm 24) and that's a violation of their terms.

And the valid identification you provided proves you're 24?

Wow. When did you register an account with them? Was it technically when you were underage? That's crazy if they're using that as being the reason if you registered when you were of a valid age.

I registered at the age of 21. As I said before I've cashed out before with no problems this was the first time I've ever had to send in any information and the final result was me losing everything.

I'm really sorry to hear your story. If they suspected you were underage but you verified, how can they "end business with you"?

Holy shit. I would be beyond pissed. I hope you get paid. I would like to chat about parlays if this experience hasn't ruined your desire to hit those parlays.(1K$'s on an 8 team nfl parlay!!! You probably use a roll cart to haul those huge cojones with you!!! I mean that in a positive way. I am down in the gutter betting $4 on 8 basketball teams, lol. I've always played parlays on football and never on basketball until this year. I hit two 4$ on 8 college basketball and a 7 on 7 and a 6$ on 6 on the nba(also a $4 on 8 nba I hit for $691 two weeks ago). I got several parlays running today and you are right that last fn leg, smh. Had the Jazz last night on 3 different parlays and they could not cover the 7 point spread, argh(I usually flip-flop my bets but I knew the Jazz would, haha. DAM last leg!!! Plus best record in NBA, SMH. I do believe I need to put more effort into my betting. Like writing it down the day before and really keep up with injuries better.
