Does anyone know about tax rebate law in gambling and its procedures?

6 replies • Last post

Hey guys,

I hope everyone is having a great time. I love gambling, and I was a regular visitor to most of the casinos in Toronto. My friends and I had grabbed a bunch of money before this COVID pandemic. We plan to restart with online gambling. It's always been depressing when the IRS deducted 30% of our prize money. While discussing with my friends, they suggested that it's possible to get a refund on the amount that was deducted from the winnings.

So we plan to consult a tax rebate service in Canada. Before that, I would like to know about this in detail from the gamblers here. Does anyone know about tax refund law and its procedures? Please share the details.

Thanks!

I have no idea how things work in Canada. Where I live gambling winnings are not taxable unless you are a professional gambler.

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.

The only thing I know is that Jackpot from slots and tables is subject to taxes like 20~30%. Regular wins from table games are not to be imposed with taxes. That's all.

Never heard of any tax refund...

Sorry not being of help..

I like you "EarnestRichardson", like I like a cute cat or dog that is as thick as a cheese sandwich that keeps trying and failing to do stuff. You're funny. And persistent.

For everyone else Earnest here could not care less what we have to say in answer to his thread. All he wants to do is post a spammy link to some website using the keywords "gambling tax rebate Canada". He keeps trying. And failing.
