Australian casino recommendations

9 replies • Last post

Hi Guys I am brand new here, my very first post. I have had about a 4 year break (no real spare money to have a flutter). I am from Australia and I'm looking to have a play from time to time but the great and trusted casinos I once played are no longer. Does anyone have experience with playing from Aus and with a casino that pays out with no fuss if you've won fairly? Or am I kidding myself these days?

If you haven't played for 4 years you're in for a massive disappointment. The Aussie government and ACMA started getting aggressive against anyone and everyone (even review sites like ours) a couple of years ago. The net result has been that all the honest regulated casinos have shut their doors to Aussies and the shady rogue operators who are accountable to no-one have seized the opportunity and opened countless Aussie themed rip-off joints.

In our experience complaints of players being slow paid and outright ripped off have skyrocketed and there is little we can do to help other than try to warn people in advance. So we have this warning instead of a list of recommended casinos for Australian visitors:

Quote:

Currently no online casinos are licensed to accept play from Australians. Casinos that do allow Australians to play for real money do so in contravention of Australian law.

Warning: in recent times we have seen a proliferation of dodgy new casinos opened by crooks in unregulated jurisdictions, taking advantage of the fact that most licensed and regulated casinos no longer accept Australians. Players should be highly suspicious of new casinos employing Australian themes and slang as a high proportion of them are outright rogue casinos. Caveat Emptor.

Casino Listings recommends that Australians should not play at any unlicensed casino.

My #1 tip: the more kangaroos, koalas, meat pies, holden cars, "pokies", and other Australiana that you see at a casino, the quicker you should run away.

Matthew

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.

Following on from Ed's advice, if you're still willing to take the risk I feel confident recommending both Ignition and Bitstarz. These established casinos have consistently paid my withdrawals and to my knowledge they are as reputable as they come (all things considered).

I have been playing from Australia for over a year now without issue.

Australia does seem to get the best out of the dubious on line casinos(eg the home of Raging Bull etc is a prime example)
If you play the pokies only it is my view you have a much greater chance you will be stiffed
by an on line rogue casino or casinos unless you play live casino games.
From playing ignition myself until the jurisdiction moved for my area all is okay.
I would not recommend Bitstarz to anyone for pokies.

Why not, did you have a bad experience?

Well, I was about to say like Bitstarz is available, there might be other Softswiss casinos available to Aussie players, but... what's bad with Bitstarz? 🙂

I am not playing there for the last 2~3 months, but Bitstarz was very reliable for payment, from my experience.

Pokies means slots, right? Especially, Play N'Go RTPs are very bad in all of Softswiss casinos, even RTPS are concealed from the information page, which is very surprising.

I Consider Bistarz another Australian linked non paying online casino when it suits them whom are well known for stiffing players whom win via slots.
Of course the RTPs are concealed as players would not play the casino.
Netent and Red Tiger being the worst offenders.
Hell back approx -3months ago CL-Ed provided a graph C/- Netent displaying their poor RTPs as proof why some casinos promote these game providers more than others. "'Money in their casino pockets"'.
Yes I have won many a $ on the slots but tend to shop with live casino playing currently.

I have never, ever had an issue with Bitstarz and their payments have been the absolute fastest I've ever seen (in my BTC wallet in under 15 min from request time). Top-notch support as well. They are quite transparent in game RTP.

I tend to agree with the comment above - Bitstarz have paid my withdrawals up to $4,000 within minutes and I have been very impressed by their customer support. No issues whatsoever.

Maybe I'm missing something but I really don't think that's the common consensus.

The slots of Bitstarz pay out bad. I have terrible experiences in playing their Play N'Go.

Red Tiger was acquired by NetEnt one or two years ago.
Red Tiger was known for the high volatility with rather lower RTP like 92~95% even before the acquisition.
And, NetEnt got blamed for releasing lower RTP versions of their hit games recently.

It seemes that cableway got lost bad in the slots in Bitstarz.

Fingers crossed!!
