NetEnt adjustable RTP games to watch out for

A few months ago we reported that Net Entertainment would be rolling out adjustable RTP versions of some of their games. This means that operators are able to change the RTP of a game to a lower or even higher (yeah right, who are they kidding) setting than the default. In most cases the operator can choose from 8 different settings with a roughly 1% difference between each.

So far these are the games that you need to watch out for:

  • Butterfly Staxx: 90 - 99.1%, default 96.8%.
  • Fruit Shop: 90.1 - 99.1%, default 96.7%.
  • Guns n' Roses: 90.1 - 99.1%, default 97%.
  • Reel Rush: 90.1 - 99.1%, default 97%.
  • Starburst: 90.1 - 99.1%, default 96.1%.
  • Twin Spin: 91.1 - 99.1%, default 96.6%.

I'd be especially wary of Starburst as it is NetEnt's most popular game, so it will be ripe for exploitation by greedy casinos.

How can you tell what the current setting is? Look for the game help button, which is on the bottom left if you're playing a desktop version of the game, or in the game menu for mobile versions. This should bring up a page detailing the rules and how to play the game, and the RTP setting should be specified there. If you find the RTP has been lowered, take your money elsewhere and you might as well let the casino know why you are doing so when you do.

vomvom12 have you missed a sentence or 2 of late regarding game providers and Casinos.
The game providers have given the Casinos the access to RTP% In other words modify/change/alter/lower/eliminate the top prize or 2/free spins. etc.
So in short for example your bloodsuckers game rtp 98% at whatever casino you usually play at may not be the same as the casino has control not the provider.
Be lucky playing😉

says who ?!!
sorry bro but it seems you have no idea how such an online casino works !
the casino is no more than supplier or rather an interface to the server farm
of the provider...all the games you play are stored there and the casino has
no access to any settings or anything else. the casinos rent the games and
the provider says what is feasible, such as different rtp values ...
of course the casinos can say ... we have too high costs ... please provider xyz
screw the rtp to value zyx for all possible games...but the casino can't change
anything !🤔😉

Imagine playing 92% RTP slots 🔥💰🔥

The first thing I do whenever I play a new game is Google the RTP. Anything under 96% is an insta-quit for me (with the exception of progressives).

That is insane! i would be very vary,, i find it interesting that NetEnt released into with a vast variety of RTPs

CL-Ed I just resigned to a MGA casino after approx 12 months whom told me I can have 50 free spins on one of Netent''s new game when I deposit next.
I asked what their RTP% is as I do not really like Netent games and their reply within less than half a minute was 94%.
So as you predicted CL-Ed even the new Netent release games fall below the default limit set by the game provider Netent themselves.

VOMVOM12 does it matter if it is the Casino or the game providers that are altering the RTP% of games.
Of course it is actually happening and it is inconceivable thinking that the Casinos have no influence as to any changes occuring to RTP%. They are 199%complicent in the changes to RTP%
🙂🍺

Game providers offer games with certain RTP - casinos then choose which ones to use. Obviously since many casinos would like to earn more money in the long run, they ask for lower RTP versions. But the casinos themselves have no impact on altering games. Simple as that, no other alterations are involved.

of cause it does...!!!

that is a ongoing discussion in many forums. people keep
saying the casinos manipulate the games ... mostly after losing a lot of money.
your assertion supports this nonsense, so you have to make it clear that
casinos have an influence on it but have no access to any game parameters
independently. I just wanted to clarify this false claim. Of course, offerin
g different good / potent versions of the same game is a very questionable
matter. and the more and more providers doing that with more and more of
their games makes me refrain from putting some of my money into gambling
because the conditions are getting more and more unfair.

here is a rough overview of the major providers and how many of their games
are adjustable. what amazes me, however, is that netent is missing on this list.
this overview can be found on slotcatalog actually a very detailed and exact
page when it comes to game statistics. why netent with regard to adjustable
rtp on slotcatalog is completely missing is a mystery to me.i will send them an email
and will ask about this....

vomvom12 very good expression I wonder if ordinary players will ever see the statistics on Netent adjustable rtp on slotcatalog.
Red Tiger is listed and was one of my most preferred playing games until approximately9 months ago going from great to very very poor in collections. Fair to say I do not play any Red Tiger games at all currently.
Good luck on your quest

the first time it took very long but finaly i hit a bonus round but the bonus
rounds were always very poor ... they never paid more than I had to use to
reach the bonus round. when i played the game for the second time i could always
play for ever without hiting anything

I played at red tiger and have won decent amounts over the last 6 months, i think its very misleading that the official software and thegaming providers are doing and allowing this, it should not be happening

For those who are interested, here is SlotCatalog's answer to my question: why there is no reference / information on adjustable RTP values for Netent games

SlotCatalog:

Hello Chris!
Sorry for the delay.
There is no NetEnt in the RTP guide because it didn't have adjustable RTPs when we wrote it. We will add it there soon.
Also, we'll add the RTP Range mark to the slot card.
Thank you for your comments regarding this.

Best regards,
Alex

Now that the industry has given the ok for Casinos to place pressure on gaming providers of course the RTP% are going to suffer as Casinos have to make money for their shareholders and owners and therefore players are becoming effected due to their system.
