Ignition jackpot - won $170k and account locked

Hi,

I won over $170,000 on ignition this morning - 777 slot jackpot.

My account has now been disabled and I am very worried I am going to lose my funds.

I have been playing for weeks - losing and depositing - and never had any issues with my account.

Now I have won a jackpot and made a withdrawal request - my account is doable and I cannot get any explanation except I'll be contacted with 48 hours to discuss.

Anyone ever heard of this happening? Do you think I will lose my winnings?

I love it when people accuse me of secretly working for a casino, simply for not believing their story that has more holes than Swiss cheese. It's such a typical response whenever reality doesn't line up with the replies they get.

Do you honestly expect a casino, online or physical, to hand over $170k to a player without verifying the player's identity? This thread is so tiring and nonsensical. I give up.

You can search for any business and find plenty of negative reviews from a vocal minority, but it doesn't mean the business is a scam or running a rogue operation. For legit operations like Ignition those negative reviews almost certainly come from people abusing the TOS and getting caught and not getting paid. They pay 6-figure jackpots on a weekly basis, yours is not special.

So for one last time: if you're so confident you did not break the conditions and are who you said you were when you signed up, then submit your docs and get paid. It's as simple as that.

I am not hiding anything. I deposited using my own personal cards and as far as I know, I did not break any 'rules'.
I am not whining about providing Id. I want an explanation for why my account was disabled as soon as I won some money and made a withdrawal request.
Above claims about live casino processes are also untrue.
It does not seem like I am dealing with a legitimate company. My account can only be resolved over the phone, but they won't give me a phone number and only promise to call within 24-48 hours. They have tried to call me 3 times in 2 weeks at odd times when I was not available. I managed to arrange a specific time for them to call once (after hours of insistence on the chat). They did not ring at agreed time.

You have the moderator of a casino review website telling you they are legit. You have several players that personally play at ignition telling you it's legit. What else do you need?

I don't know where you live but not one live or online casino allows you to hit a jackpot and not provide an ID.

Why are you even on here asking? You got an answer and refuse to accept it. Either give them the docs and take your money or quit complaining. I SURE WISH I HAD YOUR PROBLEM. I WOULD GLADLY PROVIDE MY CARD AND ID. If you don't realize everyone is going thru the covid crisis and most casinos probably have their employees furloughed or working at home. I am playing at several online casinos right now where they aren't accepting calls and only providing support thru email and chat. So get over yourself and provide them what they asked for.

If you don't want to validate your account quit playing at online casinos.

Covid is a terrible excuse for the bad service being provided. A service that is always provided remotely, now has to be provided remotely - so no difference. Companies losing and furloughing staff are struggling businesses that have been negatively affected or been forced to close.
In Australia, online gambling has seen the most significant uptake in business than any other industry. A legitimate company would be adding staff in this situation - there are plenty of people who need jobs.

You just like to argue. Why are you even on here? You have not taken one person's advise. Seriously. You won enough money to buy a freaking house and you are complaining about their customer service. You are unbelievable.

You are coming up with every excuse not to provide two simple documents. You sure weren't questioning the legitimacy of the casino when you made your deposits and gave them your credit card info then. Yet now when they want to validate your account to make your 1st withdraw it's an issue. Just unreal.

They do not want to validate my account to process a withdrawal. I have been told by them that providing the documents will NOT unlock my account.
They disabled my account over 2 weeks ago and have not provided me with any reason.
They claim it can only be resolved over the phone but they won't provide a phone number!!!!!!

Kgoods I'm right with you brother. It's been 3 weeks plus now since I won't and haven't heard anything but a run around. I hear you and know EXACTLY all the shit you're hearing. I know Bovada is "legit" but I also completely understand how you're being treated and it messes with your mind. It's hard to think a company that legit would treat anyone like this. It's crazy!

Was this ever resolved? I know that I had a similar experience with Bovada the first time that I tried to cash out $10K. It took 2-3 weeks and no one even told me what was going on. It turns out that I had a new account and it was the first time I was making a withdrawal, so it flagged a manual review that took some time. I'm not saying it was great customer service or that they did it well, but I did get paid in the end and three years later I can say that I've been successfully paid over $10K many times without incident. At this point it comes out in about 12 hours if I use bitcoin.
Hope it's worked out for you.

I had to register an account just to note that this is the most bizarre thread I've ever read re: something like this... lol

The OP got banned for insulting me and trying to insinuate I worked for Ignition or some nonsense, so I doubt we'll hear the resolution here.

I did however see them on Reddit creating tons of comments and posts claiming Ignition and Bovada are scams and that they are lawyering up. If they had put a fraction of the effort of doing all that to providing their ID they would have surely been able to withdraw as such a jackpot is peanuts to that casino group.

You're right on amg21, this is probably the single most bizarre thread we've ever had on here. That reddit post history is incredible. Imagine the time that went into that. 😞

I think these are probably the most likely explanations:

1. The win never happened and it was all the invention of an upset customer or competitor trying to get one over the casino.

2. The win was genuine but Kgoods was unable to provide ID that would validate their identity. It could be due to multi-accounting or registering with fake details assuming they would never be checked.

3. The win was genuine but the player already knew they had broken some rule or condition that would have invalidated the win.

I really hope it was 1 and not 2 or 3, at least for the sake of Kgoods peace of mind.

I skimmed the Reddit comment history and this one stood out as a potential explanation:

Quote:

Do not use these advertised bonuses. Apparently they have a dual purpose, the second being more important to the casinos.

First, they use as a lure to get you to play with them. In any normal business, this would be a 'loss leader' - that is, sacrifice profits from a customer early, in order to win their long term business. Alas, online casinos are no normal business - so their real reason for offering them is :

Second, create overly complicated terms and conditions around these bonuses which give them a reason not to pay you if you win.

Then they get a bunch of people online to say it's 'standard' and totally ok, and you must play by the rules!

Yeah I was worried when Kgoods first said he/she was betting $100 a spin when they won the jackpot. But they swore black and blue that they weren't playing with a bonus at the time. So who knows. Obviously we were never getting the full story.

I play at Ignition often and after first withdrawal paperwork, 15+ withdrawals have gone seamlessly and bitcoin withdrawals have all been received within 48 hours. Now Lucky Creek Casino? I'm in the midst of a withdrawal nightmare going on 5 weeks.
I never take bonuses anymore, it makes withdrawing money like walking thru a minefield.

For those wondering how quickly Ignition / Bovada do pay out a big jackpot win after ID verification, here is a recent quote from another player that just won a bit over $60k at Bovada:

I used bitcoin and it was unlimited total withdrawal split into $20k max payments every 3 days. So about 9 total days for it all.

ANYTIME I have ever sent ANY online poker room my documents to be verified, I was paid.

Even a land based casino will ask for your ID and such, including but not limited to DL, social security card, etc (especially on large winnings) if you don't send the documents, you will NOT ever be paid, its as simple as that.

As yet another data point, a player posted a $120k 777 Deluxe progressive win on Bovada's forums and reported no issues with his first $20k BTC withdrawal. I think it's safe to say OP was full of it at this point.
