Thoughts on Netent lower RTPs?

13 replies • Last post

As some or many of you may know, Netent has put out new option for operators to run their games on different RTP's. I've already noticed that Videoslots have changed Starburst and a few others to run on 94% RTP instead of the previous 96%. I personally feel like this is another reason for me to play even less online, as nowadays with the reduced RTPs you basically need to check it every time when you play a game and it's something I've never done before. What are your thoughts on this guys? Does it change anything for you?

Ah, that is really bad for players and eventually casinos.

Play N'Go (or RTG) started this RTP changes, as far as I know.

UKGC and MGA have to ban RTP changes and punish softwares and operators altogether.

Videoslots is very diappointing that they began to lower RTP of the most popular games.

Yeah I find it quite sad. Videoslots did it for Red Tiger, Play'n Go now Netent and maybe even more that I haven't noticed. They have lowered the RTP for some of my favorite games so I can't really justify anymore depositing there.Yes, there's some perks of playing there but they don't really compensate on a whole. Wagering 50k just to get a wheel that gives 50 or 100 eur prize doesn't seem worth it. But now that I've learned about this, I will certainly have to start checking RTPs before playing.

Just read that Videoslots will offer all Netent games on 94% and 95% RTP as soon as it's possible. So my guess many others will follow that example..

Yep, clearly you can assume that VideoSlots Casino (and doubtless many others) will run games at the lowest possible RTP that they are permitted. Day one and they switch over immediately like that.

Just add it to the list of yet another thing players are going to have to check before they gamble.

That is not going to happen. As long as the operators are disclosing what the RTP is to the players, and the RTP is within the permissible range then they have no problem with it.

It is up to players to punish the casinos that choose to do this by choosing to play elsewhere.

I don't think that I will play slots in Videoslots. I remember that from one day, Play N'Go slots wouldn't pay out good any more, I thought that it was just a bad luck, but, as I had been playing slots there some years, I could feel something different.

Then, the news of RTP changes rang a bell to me.

It is sad that RTP changes can't be punishable.

I have just played at jackpot City plus one other for 8+ hours this weekend whom have a number of Netent games and after 10+ years of playing it is Not only Netent & Red tIger whom have changed or altered RTPs.
Plus Jackpot City are not on their own as quite noticeable to me at other casinos.
I bet maximum quite a lot so hello blackjack or maybe move away from uk or europe controlled casinos .
All are following videoslots as it appears the software operators have already put their plan into operation.

Yeah unfortunately what I think I'll personally do is move away from Netent and start playing more BTG, Blueprint, Thunderkick, Nolimit city and other providers. Although you shouldn't necessarily feel the RTP right away, in some way I still think I do and it just doesn't feel right feeding the casino money without any decent return.

I HAVE DONE EXACTLY THAT to me BTG seem to be ok.
I deposited and played a casino called EASYPAY (their owners may be Russian+ managers)
100%Netent have done something as there games have a completely different payout
I asked have they changed their RTP % to RED TIGER ,NETENT PLAY"NGO they replied we cannot but Game suppliers and controllers have done so. ??

Yeah, I agree. Microgaming, BTG, Blueprint, Thunderkink, Nolimit are good to play.

I don't know about the casino you're mentioning bus some Russian owned casinos are imfamous for having pirated games, so in your case I'd be very careful about such casinos and would only play there if they had good licenses etc.

Yesterday I tried to load Netent games from Videoslots (Starburst for example) and it wasn't loading. A few others they had changed the RTP for, also didn't load on mobile. It's just my assumption but I believe it is somehow related to changing the game RTPs which not only resulted with more unhappy players but actual technical problems.

Yep agreed. It's getting harder to enjoy a decent punt on the pokies lately. More often getting cleaned out without the thrill of a good win to keep playing and enjoying.
Netent especially with it's large collection of slots was one of the top providers not 12 months ago. With all the rules and regulation changes in the EU/UK they gouge the average joe (you) just to cover their own high "expenses" they had gotten used to at the top.
Plenty of other providers out there so Netent and the rest are cutting their own throats as far as the player is concerned. I will be looking out and avoiding.
Videoslots is no doubt in the middle between the provider and the player with higher overheads. Crap always rolls downhill and the player is you know where!

An example is i played a Red Tiger game which has been quite good to me .
I deposited 100 euro and played 2-4 euro and collected 4 euro. Really this is normal?
I have experienced the same with Netent. The Casinos must be loving this.
Net result is I will no longer play some MGA casinos.
