The usual story, a new casino opens up. I joined, spent $1200, won $2000 & when we attempt to withdraw monies, the ID is incorrect, which it isn't. Refuse to pay. blah blah blah. a load of lies and it is just a scam. Considering I reside in Australia and it's not legal to advertise or allow us to join, (Which I only found out a few mins ago) this online casino has to be nothing but a scam. They advertise as being in Australia but in reality they reside in Malta, I just don't want others ripped off like I have been. They are also advertising through Google to get top position and write their own reviews.
Sorry Markjp, I wish I had better news or could help. There are no online casinos based in Australia. Not one.
Since the government went on a crusade against online casinos over the past 18 months, the net result has been the withdrawal of all the well run and tightly regulated casinos from the market that treated people fairly and paid them reliably, and their replacement with a bunch of newly opened scam sites run by opportunistic criminals.
Meanwhile its fine to open an online sports betting account or get ripped off playing shitty 85% RTP pokies at almost any pub or club. Once again our government has outdone themselves in aiming squarely at their own foot and pulling the trigger.
Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.

That is quite sad Ed. When there are no proper regulations in place and casinos are simply "banned" it leaves room for shady operators to take advantage of players who want to play online and just scam them.
Exactly right blck.
Thanks for sharing, I won't be playing with them anymore. I'm sorry this happened.
I live in Australia and won 1600 on thebes casino on new year's eve. It was originally $500 at the end of November and it was a 5-7 business day wait for processing. I submitted all required documents required but kept getting rejected. After 5 rejections I contacted askgamblers and submitted my complaint. Casinos don't play around with these guys. Turns out I had to fill in a cc voucher but nobody including live help were forthcoming with that information. Within 24 hrs my withdrawal had been processed and my funds were in my account 48 hrs later. Aussie's don't give up. By accepting your funds they are breaking the rules. They either payout your win or refund your deposits. Don't allow them to bully you. It's never to late so please try to get your deposits refunded or your winnings. Please let us know how you go and good luck 🙏🙏🙏
Although we're going off topic here, I'd just like to point out Hello-sailor that Thebes Casino is a well known rogue casino that we've been warning about and has been blacklisted here for around a decade now.
You've no doubt had success with AskGamblers because they have no qualms in referring people to rogue casinos like Thebes for the commission fees. Currently I can see that they rate that organised scam of a casino a 7.4 / 10 which is unconscionable. Of course the casino doesn't muck around with them because they are providing the casino with a significant chunk of their earnings by referring naive players via their fake reviews.
So I'm glad you got your money but don't be fooled into thinking that AG are some kind of reliable watchdog or are getting you paid from the goodness of their hearts. And spare a thought for the thousands of others who get referred to scam casinos by sites like that and that don't get paid after being ripped off.
Thebes is a notorious casino out there for a long time.
You are very lucky to get your fund out of it. Congratulations.
And thankful for sharing your experience here.
Two updates. I pestered my Bank that golden pokies were a scam & they agreed with me obtaining a refund of all deposits.
Until now I have never posted any comments about," Thebes" or AG. I just told the bank the truth and because they cannot legally advertise in Australia. They are illegal and I got all deposits back.
It took ages.....

Sorry the Thebes comments were directed at Hello-sailor who kind of derailed the topic.
