Quick question about identical RTG slot jackpots

One thing I have noticed is that on every RTG site, some of the slot jackpots seem to be linked since they are identical down to the cent. Furthermore, through using sites like jackpotgraphs to track local RTG jackpots, I have noticed that these slots that have the exact same dollar amount jackpot are also always hit at the exact same time which has me wondering, do these slots actually hit all at the exact same time or, in order to help the jackpot amount rise faster, they link them all together and if one hits then it resets them all and the sites that track these just see all linked slots' jackpots drop so it looks like they were all hit at the same time?
