How much do you bet per spin (on average)?

11 replies • Last post

I normally play slots where a min bet (typically $0.20) has a chance to hit the progressive, but I'm not risking much in comparison to my bankroll so hitting something like a 250x win isn't particularly meaningful.

How much do you typically bet per spin and what motivates you to bet higher? I'd really value your insights.

i am a low roller.
i never deposit more then 50€..usually 30-40€
so it is not a good idea to bet mor then 0,30€ at the beginning
when i am able to bild up my bankroll then sometime 0,50-1,00€

I'm a low roller too, I sometimes deposit up to 70eur but my stakes are almost never higher than 50 cents or so.

I tend to bet about a buck a spin or so, unless I'm playing with someone else's money, in which case I'll bet a lot more. I did this at the casino this past weekend as I had $30 in comp credit. $10 spins got me decent return 🙂

Thanks for the responses!

I decided to try my luck at some $2 spins (10 times my average) and I got some fun results. This winning session felt much more rewarding than smaller stakes...I should quit while I'm ahead, right? 😀

Depends on if I'm playing with a bonus. Oftentimes when there's a big playthrough ahead of me, I'll bet big and hope to get something to make the rest of the playthrough somewhat of a reality. Typically 50 cents to $5, but sometimes higher. 🙂

Yeah Reckless Bets is right on that one..I have placed bigger bets when I've had massive wagering to beat, around 3eur per spin. Still for me that gives much more anxiety..

Absolutely, once you hit a big win, most of the time with slots, that will be it. Leave the game, cashout or change games maybe. My goal for this year was to be more disciplined in knowing when to cash out and when to keep playing. I have won more money than I've put in this year, by a large margin. I owe it all to cashing out shortly after a couple big wins or even just one.

Slots are fun, but they're even better when you cashout more than you put in lol

I usually deposit 10-20$ and bet the minimum usually, but nothing over .50cents.
When I start winning a bit is when I'll up my bet .
I would rather play for a couple hours off 20$ by betting low than have it all gone in minutes because I bet 1-2$ a spin with only 20$ in my account.

betting 1-2$ a spin with only 20$ to play is a very short ride
9 times out of 10😂

I only play on the Bovada related sites and since those don't have big wins I keep my betting small. It's nearly impossible to win 500x or higher so if you bet big you don't really have a chance to recoup your losses. I'll start with $.20/.25 and then go up to $.40/.50. Sometimes $1 or $2 but anything more is pointless with a bankroll less than $1000.
