There are a lot of developers out there that directly steal the source code for the slots and claim them as authentic. You can see in the HTML coding that the host server is different than the authentic games.

These though are interesting, as they're the same but different. It looks like someone took the minimum amount of effort possible and replaced symbols, while keeping the features and paylines the same. Crazy.

Good point, these Nucleus games may or may not be similar but the logos and themes are obviously cribbed from Betsoft. I have the world's smallest violin out playing for Betsoft though after all the dodginess and rip-offs they have gotten up to over the years.

The line between "knock-off" and "similar theme" is pretty blurry in the slots industry. I mean how many different Cleopatra or leprechaun themed slots are there? How many clones of Book of Ra or Starburst?

There are also fully pirated games that have been pinched by Russian crooks and offered at unlicensed casinos in grey markets that look almost identical to the real thing. But of course the RNGs aren't audited and it is under the crook's control, so I'm sure you can imagine how likely it is that you're getting a fair game.

That's a very good point Ed. And unfortunately there are so many inexperienced players that will fall for these sketchy games and play at casinos the have no chances of winning ever.

Yeah, the Betsoft games look good, but with their history of being shoddy in the jackpot payout department, they're an interesting choice for copying... hey, maybe that stingy-ness is what led to them deciding to copy them!

I don't really play Betsoft anymore, but these days, there seems to be more of clones of big hit games, like Book of Dead, StarBurst, Bonanza, Great Blue, etc.

Most recently, there are like 40~50 bonanza clones 😀

I hate betsoft games the only one that i sometimes play is Rooks Revenge, also they terrible at paying out progressive jackpot wins
