Fair go Casino scam

I won $10k on fair go casino, went through all the paper work and id given to them to collect my monies, only for them to say NO, then when i went into my account they had wiped the monies from my account and left me with only $100. I rang and all they said was we can do this as you exceeded your max bet and they didnt have to pay up.. If they wont pay up by anyone playing above the max bet why do they have more than the max bet and is situated right next to the $10 bet. So i asked them just to put my $10k back into my account that i had one fairly and they said they didnt have to do that either...You can only withdraw $2500 at a time and they charge you $50 per transaction then you get bank fees added and you can only with draw $2500 per week and would of taken up to 6 weeks to get....... So this site is a complete SCAM AND I ADVISE ANYONE NOT TO GO NEAR THEM AS YOU WONT GET PAID AND THEY WILL WIPE YOUR ACCOUNT OUT...
THIS IS THE EMAIL FROM THEM.. THE 1ST EMAIL..

Funny how they do that hey? They did a similar thing to me saying l went over the max bet ,EVEN THOUGH,they put an option for a higher bet! They really are scammers! Ive been told by a professional I.T person that these casinos are run by hackers and scammers

Sorry to hear that. As you can see you aren't the first and no doubt won't be the last to get caught by this rule.

They do have a clause in their T&Cs when you claim a bonus that you may not bet above a certain amount ($10 maybe?) on any single spin until you have cleared your bonus. But you didn't read that, because hardly anyone does, and that know that full well. So technically they are right, you broke the rules. They have not done anything that you wouldn't expect if you had read and understood all the fine print.

However we have been asking this casino's operator to program these limits into the software for years so that no-one can accidentally or unknowingly break them. They have repeatedly refused to do so. The only plausible explanation for this refusal is that they would no longer be able to avoid payouts in cases like yours.

So maybe they are in the right legally or technically, but ethically and morally they are being completely shady. They know it, they just don't care.

I've just withdrawn 5k this week with no hassles. Since all the reputable online casinos have left Australia. I always read the terms and conditions And read reviews before I played at a new casino..... since us aussies can't even play at any land base casinos presently I think this is a really important thing to do

Hmmm,I'm thinking the positive reviews are fake ones hired by the casino since majority of the reviews are very bad and similar situations, l also noticed all the positive comments seem to be from Australia.

Fair Go Casino also have refused to pay me saying my id wasn't enough it was only $500 odd dollars but still its my money.I now have to cancel my credit card and passport as i am told they are scammers and theres a government warning online and its proven right shame i had not read about them before i decided to play in their casino online. they also take your money when you deposit via two companies one is Team marketing Valetta MLT the other one is Gamma Services GBR the first one has numerous complaints online about them taking money out of peoples accounts without their permission so in other words theft..They have phillippino customer service and i think they are based in the Phillippines i could be wrong. When i accused them of theft after they refused to pay and told them they are welll known scammers i got a phone call from a woman screaming at me, i just screamed back, told them i was the wrong to rob and i was going to make them famous.I have contacted Accurrent affair told them about what ACMA says about them scamming Australians etc also about them comments about the company that takes money from your account lets hope Accurrent affair takes it on board

Sorry to hear this happened, in my experience fair go are one of the better " dodgy" casinos operating offshore to Australians. I'd be waiting for scomo to open up the land base pokies again 😁

Mrs Me, I think it's important to point out that all online casinos ask for identification documents to process withdrawals. In fact it is mandated by law in regulated jurisdictions such as the UK or Malta (not that this casino is regulated) due to anti money laundering laws. Aside from that most casinos also want to protect themselves from fraudulent players that try to multi-account at the same casino (to claim one-off bonuses more than once).

So a casino asking for ID should not be seen as unusual and it does not mean they are using it for identity theft.

While I have lost loads of respect for the operator of this group of casinos over the years due to the way they routinely cancel winnings due to bonus bet size rules that no-one reads, I have not heard of them doing any kind of identity theft. I think you are wasting your time and creating a load of hassle for yourself in cancelling your credit card but if it helps you sleep better at night then go for it.

Interesting. I just searched for them and clicked through to test and their site isn't blocked for me. I guess they could have moved to a new domain already, or perhaps it is only your ISP that is blocking them.

I don't use the automatic DNS servers provided by my ISP though. You could look up "Google DNS" or "Cloudflare DNS" and follow the instructions to use them instead if you have money in an account that you need to access to withdraw.

Australians, you can get your deposits back at least. The law protects the player, not the casino. Report them as frauds - easy to prove - and your bank will refund all deposits - including crypto sites that transferred to them - also illegal - for them.

I've had countless problems with this platform.

Emails that go un responded to, less than helpful chat agents providing conflicting information and I am yet to make a successful withdrawal despite having had my account up to 4k twice.

The first time, it took WEEKs just to have my documents approved in order to make my withdrawal, at which point I'd gambled down my winnings - my fault for not having the self control, but definitely intentional delays from the platform in the hopes this would happen.

Second incident, cash withdrawal made for the ridiculous 50 dollar fee, after 10 days of my money in limbo apparently being bounced around in international banks it was then credited back to my Fargo account minus a further 90 dollars because my bank details were apparently incorrect, after requesting the to see what details I had provided to check if I'd actually made a mistake, they were correct, no errors.

And then again, no self control so I gambled what was credited back to my account, despite having the will to walk away (I'll acknowledge that gambling what was put back in my account is my fault but I never should have been put back in the position for this to happen considering I had made the withdrawal in the first place)

Third instance: I make a bitcoin withdrawal because nothing else seems to work with this platform at this point. After making the withdrawal that uses the word instant to describe the process in receiving your money it actually takes an additional 48 business hours just for the platform to approve the withdrawal at which point they claim it will be 'instant'. My account at this point is fully verified and I receive an email from security asking for a selfie of me holding my ID for additional security measures. RIDICULOUS as my account has already been fully verified apparently. This withdrawal is still pending and frankly I am not confident it will go through at all.

It's extremely clear that this platform will go out of it's way to delay payments in the hope that players will continue to gamble.

Where's the humane side of anyone who says "what fairgo does is fine"
T&Cs do not prevent businesses from misleading
- Canadian casino dressed up as an Aussie casino
- Large amounts of Winnings constantly published along the bottom of the screen
- Takes withdrawals from Credit Cards
- Allows bets, Takes the money on these bets, takes amounts if game is lost, but after the game has been won, opts not to pay out 🤷? Really.

I am not a player by a volunteer social worker in NT, mostly indigineous young Men, and really am fed up with these crooked networks, (Yes crime - Not allowed in Australia) ruining peoples lives. The latest victim was gambling alone from their rehab centre on a site with Koala bears, looks Australian, claims to be Fair Go... really. Yes there will be feedback standing behind T&Cs but my take is these people have not spent much time around the vulnerable, or reputable organisations, business in their lives.... yet.

Whoever bagged the government (for closing this down) but supports FairGO.... really. Please have a look at what you are supporting.

The Government (I'm not part of in any way) are at least trying to assist in fighting these scams in Australia, and trying best to support the many victims, if they are still alive.

Dissapointing.... My guess is people will support illegal pornography mobs also. The 12yo after viewing porn for a year, didn't read the T&Cs...

You probably can feel my annoyance, but sick of picking up the mess.... If it was Fair, allowed to operate in Aus, not taking funds off credit cards, not deceiving by allowing bets, taking the funds, but not paying out, didn't deceive with all the Koala pics... then my opinion would be different. Sincere blessings to each of you.

Au contraire. The government, in its infinite idiocy, has assisted this sort of casino like never before. How can that be you say?

Go back a couple of years before this government put a rocket up ACMA and demanded that they started getting belligerent against pretty much all online casinos. At that point, Australians could play at loads of sites that are professionally run and licensed and regulated in places such as the UK that take player welfare seriously. You could get a withdrawal within minutes of submitting it and had a wide choice of games with high payout rates.

Then they cracked down supposedly in the name of protection of Australians. How do you reckon that has worked out? I'll tell you because we see it first hand here on a daily basis, and this thread is a prime example.

All the good operators that are regulated shut their doors to Australians, leaving a huge number of people who like to gamble without a place to play. Beauty, thought all the rogue operators that are anonymously set up through shell companies in joke jurisdictions like Curacao, Russia, or Costa Rica where they can get away with anything. Suddenly there are countless numbers of Australian themed casinos with, like you say, pics of Koalas and Kangaroos, and liberal use of the word "pokies" everywhere. Naturally the players shift to these places and guess what happens next? Complaints skyrocket because they are being slow paid, playing dodgy games, given the run-around, and often getting ripped off.

And there is nothing we can do to help other than warn people (see the warning below, which is on every page here).

Well done Australian government. Golf clap. They have achieved the exact opposite of what they set out to do.

I'm sorry but you'd be naive to believe that this has achieved anything other than a big increase in Aussies being ripped off as they are put at the mercy of an army of anonymous professional scammers without any form of consumer protection whatsoever.

Hi guys ,I would like to post my experience.same as you I have not know about max bet rule when other online casinos will not allow you to bet more than the requested bet on a bonus.
I have been wiped out of more than 130k for breaking the rule with 20% of my bets higher than 10$ .now I'm wondering if there is a way to act legally against them as math comes into place.
I had play through my bonus as per terms and condition for mostly 80% of the max bet requested.i will not mind if they deducted the 20-30% of my winnings but loosing 130k it's like having a hearth attack..... and not FAIR GO.
I am while.to pay to act against them legally anyone of you can advice???
I do have recordings and screenshots
Thanks a lot

Youou, this is the relevant term from their website:

Quote:
In the interests of fair gaming, there are limits on the maximum bet sizes you can place during the playthrough of any bonus including cashback offers. $10 is the maximum bet unless specifically stated otherwise. Betting above $10 during a bonus playthrough will result in any promotion winnings voided.

From the other complaints in this thread we know that:

  1. Complaints are almost always a case of the player unwittingly breaking that rule by betting over the wager limit after claiming a bonus.
  2. The casino does not care if you did it 20% of the time, 5%, 1%, or just once. Neither do they care if you did it before or after winning the bulk of your withdrawal (we've seen both). If you broke that rule they will void your winnings, no exceptions.
  3. We have directly asked the operator several times over the past 5 years or so why they do not have the limits programmed into the software so that this cannot happen either deliberately or accidentally. They have obviously refused to do the programming and furthermore have never given a satisfactory answer as to why not.
  4. A reasonable conclusion is that they like it how it is because it allows them to escape from paying big wins to unsuspecting players from time to time.

There are problems you're going to run into in terms of a legal complaint. Firstly you're admitting you broke the terms of the offer. So you would have to argue that the term itself is invalid. Personally I think the refusal to program the max bet limits into the software is predatory and unethical. But whether it is illegal to enforce that max bet clause in whatever tinpot unregulated jurisdiction they operate under (maybe Curacao) is a question I'm not qualified to answer.

So even if you can track down whoever is responsible for operating the casino wherever they are in the world (I suspect the operator is from the UK originally) and then convince them to attend court in the Caribbean or wherever, I don't like your chances. You could try to convince them to come to court in Australia but seeing as that would probably result in them being thrown in jail for accepting you as a customer in the first place, they aren't going to show up.

Sorry I can't give you better news than that.
