Live Roulette table where the ball size continuously changes.

4 replies • Last post

I found a strange Live roulette table.
The software name is GamePlay Interactive.

They prepare 2~4 sized balls under the table.
Players can not see them.

And when the ball set down on the number, the dealer takes the ball from the table.
Then, in the next spin, the ball can change or be the same sized ball...

Maybe, the dealer just randomly pick even without seeing it.

Anyway, what do you think their intention is?

I have never seen this kind of things in other casino...

I think that all the casinos except this GamePlay Intereactive put the same ball in the number pocket until the next spin, or the dealer pick up the ball to put it on the top of the reel (axis).

They never change the ball size, or take away the ball from player's view...

That is weird. Maybe they are worried about so-called ballistics tracking. This is where people reckon they can measure the speed of the ball as it travels around the wheel closely enough that they can estimate the region of the wheel the ball is going to end up on. There have been electronic devices used at land casinos where people click a button every time the ball passes a certain point on the wheel, then they get a reading from their device and place their bets very late before the dealer closes betting.

I'd imagine that someone could code some software to do that automatically with an online video feed. Maybe they think swapping the ball to a different size and weight each time will make it harder for that to work, assuming it works at all?

Here's a brief article about some scientists researching that topic

Oh, I see. I heard about it long time before.

They also try to change the speed of spinning. So, sometime, the ball knocks down even before making 10 spins, huh, isn't it actually a violation?

And, they change dealers every 15~30 mins, the time seems not be fixed 🙂

What they are trying to do should be to know down the ball in different zones around wheel every spin.

But, the thing is what they are doing is also to make players pissed off and lose control, as I think, hahaha 🙂

Yeah..that's the craziest roulette game I've had ever heard off, didn't even guess of what is all about before reading Ed's post.

They might loose a player or two (or a few thousand) trying to be a bit too cautious.
