I confess that I rarely know about computer, networking, software, etc
In w88 casino, it informs players that a certain DNS server change will give more security and faster internet, etc.
This casino is not well known.
IPv4: 188.8.131.52 or 184.108.40.206
IPv6: 2606:4700:4700::1111 or 2606:4700:4700::1001
Could you explain about this ?

Nope I'm with you coolsongss, my best guess would be an ip address for a server, if that's even a thing lol, I'm curious about it as well. I just checked in the midst of typing this out to see if that was the casino I was thinking of, it wasnt, this ad popped up
But still , even reading and seeing that ad, I have no clue as to what is being said lol
Hi, WaroftheGods, it appears to be the same casino
I am clueless about this DNS server setting.
Let's wait and see feedbacks from other members.
The Dns service provider for 220.127.116.11 is cloud gate they brilliant and offer their basic services to users free , the dns of theirs basically prevents your isp from snooping on your traffic , its not a vpn though but kinda similar it uses https or tls by default i use the app on my android phone I am still trying to figure out how to implement it on my PC

Oh, there are some applications in mobile app store.
I don't know how it works, but it should be safe to use on mobile.
I was suspicious why this casino is informing the players of PC settings.

I just downloaded the application on mobile and am using it right now. It is interesting.
I will check it out more about this app
A DNS server is the thing that translates a domain name - eg casinolistings.com - into an IP address of the server that hosts that domain name. It is like a telephone book for web servers connected to the internet.
Most ISPs have their own DNS servers, and if you are tech savvy you can even run your own.
There are some third parties that provide free DNS servers like the one in this thread, another is Google who have 18.104.22.168. They may be slightly faster but it will be unnoticeable compared to the time taken to load a web page (for example "28% faster" than something that takes 100 milliseconds isn't a big deal). Privacy benefits are definitely real, though you have to trust that the company supplying the free DNS is really not selling your data.
Where I live I use a service called a DNS redirector which is a special DNS server that gets around geographic blocks on websites and streaming services. So I can watch stuff that is for USA people only for example. This is better than using a VPN because the connection is straight between my computer and the real server, so it isn't limited by the VPN bandwidth or the time taken to relay through the VPN server.

Thanks CL-Ed, I can understand about DNS now.
w88 casino is mainly serving Asian countries, and they are informing this information for their Chinese players. I don't remember exactly, but, the VPN service was blocked in China.
So, free DNS service from a reliable company will be an alternative there.
