Scam Bovegas Casino

14 replies • Last post

Hi!

The Casino known as BoVegas right after I signed up and was playing online began charging unauthorized amounts to my bank account. When I called them to ask what had happened they claimed that I made these deposits to my account, which was untrue. I had been playing and making deposits but almost half of the charges on my bank account were them just charging me just to steal from me.

They seem to have quite a few shill reviews online using the askagambler website. BoVegas is definitely a scam. I have also read it is not easy to withdraw money either, but my experience was they just charged my account and stole from me and then refused to refund my money.

Who else should I report this to?

They charged my account over 500 dollars in unauthorized transactions.

Thanks!

Joshua, we already have these guys on our blacklist as we have seen quite a few complaints about them before. Most other review websites are, shall we say, a little less honest in their assessment of casinos.

If what you say is true and the extra charges were made against a credit or debit card then you can dispute the charges with your bank. This will lead to an investigation and can cause problems for the casino as they are more than likely mis-coding credit card transactions to get around banking blocks against online gambling. Obviously the casino would not like to lose their ability to process credit card transactions from other players so the usual thing that happens is that they refund all your deposits and close your account to prevent any investigation from taking place. It is not without consequence though - it will get you banned from the casino and it is likely that your name will be shared amongst other casinos that will not allow you to play there in future due to risk of chargebacks. Note that you probably don't even need to file a chargeback - just tell the casino that you are going to do so and they will close your account and refund your deposits quicker than you can type the words on your keyboard.

Yeah, I agree with what Ed said: threaten the chargeback rather than actually doing it first. I've not really heard of a casino making unauthorized withdrawals from your bank account before. That's gotta be stressful!

What can the FBI do about an offshore casino they have no jurisdiction over?

Good luck with that Theginzo. Sadly, you're probably not going to get anywhere with these guys. The feds aren't going to do anything to help you out, either. 😢

Oh, BoVegas is rogue. This issue is the worst of what I have heard of.

I think that they charged you 10~20% more than your each deposit, correct?

Or, you deposit 5 times, but they charged you 7~8 times?

First of all, congratulations on your win, that's a huge balance to have. But secondly, although I really hope they pay you, they don't have a good reputation. I'd definitely keep pushing them to pay- stay strong and good luck.

BOVEGAS Do not play them they are CROOKS from personal experience. I won big time slots $25000AUD Their pit manager emailed me privately, claim and get out quickly otherwise you will not get paid.It made no difference all my paper work was 100%.
The following day I claimed .
The only system they allowed for me to get paid was claim every fortnight $215 .If I missed claiming NO payment. After 6-9 months of this I had to travel over seas for 6 weeks . They would not except any claim unless it came via my computer in nz or ip address.
Fortunately I won quite large at another casino at this time also.
End result it takes quite some time playing max bets to consume $15000 approx.
At least I received some funds as i heard many received zip.
Do not play Bo Vegas

Aloha cableway,
I had no problems with Bovegas (so I thought) I checked my bank account and I had unauthorized unauthorized charges to my account when I made a deposit. I added it up and it was well over 200! I took screenshots of my account (blurring out everything else) sent it to them and demanded a full refund for the overcharges. At first they blame my bank! I replied this is BS! The overcharges are from Bovegas. And I want a full refund and my account closed. Shortly after, I receive an email stating that all the overage will be deposited back (it has) to my account and a $20.00 convenience deposit has been made. Please give us a chance to make things right. So I did. Big mistake.... I deposited $65.00 at the end of June and I won $2,000. I completed some of my paperwork with the help of Aiden Fox, manager @ Bovegas. I played again and got my winnings up to $2,800.00. I submitted the rest of my paperwork to withdraw my winnings, radio silence. No replies back to me. I reached out on chat for some help, the response I got: for withdrawals it goes through a different department and it usually takes 4 business days, CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR WINNINGS! I just received an email today saying: we need both cc's and a bank verification from each bank for the wire transfer, seeing as we're international. I read every document and it states: we need a valid ID in color back and front only the 1st 6 and the last 4 numbers on the card you used for your last deposit. On top of that, I checked my account and I have ATM withdrawals (which I didn't make) and overcharges once again! Before logging out, I always take a snapshot of my account.
If I need to, I will have my attorneys take over this. Some people are so deceiving, we need to be careful on who we are putting our trust in!

THEY are professional crooks the same as Raging Bull.
I actually gave up trying to contact the casino and unfortunately for BoVegas Owner, I was privately given her email address so every day for a long time I would send emails. ""where is my money pay me."" I know they received the emails as i received a few replies before travelling overseas for 6 months approx.
It is well publicized these days to be wary of Curacao sites.
All sites communicate in some way so if you create a problem or are a problem it is easy for a site to denounce you as say ""abusive"" and all of a sudden you are deigned access to other casinos from time to time.
Personally I have never had a cent taken via any casino unless I have authorized it. Mind you because I play on line and in my country we have a lot of European/ and Australian scammers operating in many fronts I replace my cards every 3-6 months.
I suggest you make sure you have on line banking and check it regularly.
