Opera Web Browser (for instant playing)

27 replies • Last post

Hello, guys,

I just got to know about Opera Web Browser and downloaded it.

What difference can this browser make for online instant playing?

It is said that this browser can save some data downloading, free VPN, and eventually faster access to websites, etc.

I don't really understand how it works.

Please, share your experience and knowledge πŸ™‚

People still use Opera? Wow, that's news to me. It's nothing fancy, just done caching ability. My recommendation: just use Chrome instead.

Opera does run pretty solid, and you shouldn't see much of any difference when it comes to online casinos. You may see some faster loading of the pages themselves, but I wouldn't reckon the difference is huge.

I was using Chrome until recently when I started having some issues with pages crashing at casinos. I moved to Safari (OS X user here), and it's been working like a charm.

hey coolsongss a new version of opera is installed on my machine...
i wanted to visit some websites with VPN so i searched the web for the easiest way to use VPN without rigistering anywhere....and the easiest way was to install opera.
there is a small button far left in the url field (see my pic)
where you can simply switch it on or off and i discovered a few more nice features...
eg. whatsapp integration, one klick data import from other browsers on your machine...

but after visiting this few websites with VPN i used opera only 2-3 times so i could not say anything
about the performance compared to chrome or firefox

Opera uses the same rendering engine as Chrome, so it is essentially Chrome with different menus and options, plus whatever features they have added.

vomvom12 is right, it has a built in free VPN so you don't have to pay for an extra VPN service. But remember, you always get what you pay for so don't expect it to be rock solid. I tried it once and it was slow enough to be unusable for playing games.

It may save some data by blocking some ads and trackers (which you could do on any other browser with an ad-blocker anyway) but it won't save you anything in terms of downloading instant play games. If it doesn't download all the data the games may not work.

No Mozilla fans here!? πŸ˜‰ πŸ™‚

I've been using the Opera VPN option for playing slots sometimes and it works fine for me...but like Ed said above it could be a bit slow at times so you can't count on it 100% every time to do the job..but as a free option I'm really quite happy with it.

Taking your advice, guys, I will stick to Chrome browser πŸ™‚

And actually, I don't really feel much difference or better feature than Chrome.

The mobile version of Opera for Android comes with a wallet integrated in it for storing Crypto, also one thing I like abput the desktop version is the anti mining script to prevent cpu mining that some sites inject in your browser

I also find it slower , but you must remember that Opera is actually Chrome they just use an older version of the current version and spice it up with their own flavor also check Opera touch on android and IOS its an interesting browser that introduces a new feature called flow which allows you to pick up whatever you were doing on desktop directly with your mobile phone just scan the qr code that your desktop opera browser displays with your opera touch mobile browser and you good to go

Oh, I see. Opera has some interesting functions. It is not very important, but interesting to draw my attention. Actually, I erased Opera Browser from my desktop and mobile, but will install again to check the functions πŸ™‚

Thanks for the good information.

This thread prompted me to look around and try out a few different browsers on my computer and I've started using one called Vivaldi this week. It's actually created by people who started Opera and worked there before it was bought out by another company.

It uses Chrome under the hood for drawing webpages and it supports Chrome extensions too, so its basically Chrome with a different user interface. I can't say it is super fast, in fact it can feel a bit slow sometimes, the scrolling especially is noticeably not as smooth as Safari which I mainly used before.

But as someone who leaves heaps of tabs open at the same time I have found already that I can't live without the "tabs on the side" option that Vivaldi has. Instead of having a row of tiny tabs up the top of the window, or having to spread my tabs across multiple windows so that I can read the title of each one, I can have a list of tabs down the left (or right) side of the window instead. It's pretty nice and much more organised. It has made me wonder why other browsers don't have the same option built in, especially since most people are using widescreens these days.

If you are like me and open too many tabs at once I recommend that you check it out.

There's a certain features of Firefox and Chrome I don't like at all...still looking for the perfect browser but obviously there's not a perfect one.

The other problem is that my system is under Linux Ubuntu so I can only download a programs from the Ubuntu database and I cant just download and install anything.

Yeah that Vivaldi "tabs on the side" tool looks to be quite useful...I guess there's moment when any of us have opened like 20 tabs and sometimes it's quite annoying really.

ha-ha..I wish I was a computer nerd...it would of be a lot easier for me to deal with this laptop instead of getting it repaired twice early and on top paying for that.

Just I bought it that way with the operation system built in.

I Love Vivaldi Browser its my one of my best they also offer a decent web-mail service for free , I just find that Vivaldi lags a bit when playing slots on line , another interesting browser to check out especially for those into privacy protection is the Brave browser created by the same guy who helped create JavaScript apparently

You got that right, sadly, I'm included in that zombieland group. I remember not that long ago, when buying a new phone, if It could make calls, have the option to txt message and a loud ringer for an alarm clock in it, I was set, that's all I needed and wanted in a phone lol

Ha-ha πŸ˜‚ I'm glad you're making fun of me guys... πŸ˜‰ even in my own country there's no people who not owing a smatphone...not at least a 15 years older than me anyway(I'm 39) πŸ˜‚

But let me tell you something..I don't need one at home and if I'm away.well.. it's usually going out to a party or to a bar or something..so I don't think I need one there as well.

I'm from the category of people that in fact use the phone...just for making calls...sound weird..!?!

Oh common you're not that young guys 😜 πŸ™‚

But if I get a new job...well I guess I would need one badly...right now I'm out of occupation so I'm perfectly satisfied with my old.. dumb phone...in fact I'll have to buy a new one..but probably it would be as dumb as my old one πŸ˜‰
