Jackpot City Changed My User Name

13 replies • Last post

I received an email with the same old boring content from Jackpot City except my user name wasn't WaroftheGods, it was shown as LuckyWaroftheGods in the email .I tried to log in and couldn't. So I tried this new user name with my original password and bam , I'm in. Does anybody find this as screwed up as I do ?

Hmm, that's strange. No clue why they'd do that. Does your "new" username show all your previous account activity? Have you contacted support?

That is odd. There would be no good reason to do that as it would inevitably stop some people from accessing their accounts.

That said, are you absolutely sure that it wasn't a phishing scam? i.e. are you sure the email was from Jackpot City and sure that you were logging in to the real Jackpot City site or software? If not you may have given away your password to your real account.

It's definitely their website, I haven't deposited there in over a year at least. All my personal info at that casino has changed, except for the stuff that never changes of course lol

That's weird. Part of me would think that it could be a marketing thing, but why would they do something like that without telling you? I'd be wary of phishing like Ed said... change your password!

Oh, this is a really strange situation.
And your personal information has also changed there ?

I think that you have to contact the support of the casino.

Usually, as I know, casinos never allow to change Username...

The personal info that's changed I mean was by me, I moved , got a new phone number and even switched banks since the last time depositing there, I haven't talked to the casino yet but only because I don't plan on ever depositing or updating any info there anyways . It's just an empty abandoned account that I'll never use again, different password too, haven't used that password in a long time anywhere.

That's quite messed up. I wouldn't want to play at a site that thinks it's ok to change my details without asking me first.

Hey, did you have any funds in the account, or have you ever had a dispute in the past with them? I made a topic about bayton scamming me, which is simillar to your case. They tried to make a new account for me, because I was trying to access my account to retrieve data history, for something I believe I, had been scammed, so they made a new account, to hide my real account. If you know they did it 100%, there must of been a reason why they tried to do it. Ask for your data history, since it seems they are trying to cover something up.

Haha I never seen this reply before, I've never had any disputes with them before, and if there was money in there, it would have been only a few cents. I dont know who changed my user name, I was still able to get into my account using the same password and new user name at the time. I'm almost positive that my account isnt part of any type of cover up or conspiracy of any sort. I deposit 10-20$ and I either play it all or cash out what I win, almost always in the same sitting.

I asked probably 3-4 times since I found out my user name changed and always got the same answer from live chat and email support, they all said that it's always been that way. It hasn't,and I know this but they never moved from that story.

So yesterday I logged on to Jackpot City and enquired again, asked live chat and emailed them as well about my change in user name, got the same answer.
So lmao I took Jay le's advice up there and asked for my data history lol I got curious. They wouldnt give it to me, instead I recieved an email with explanation of why my user name was changed.

They said that when they were updating their systems almost a year ago, that it must have red my user name in a sister casino as the same name so the system changed it.
Well I'm a registered member of all of those casinos and they all have the user name WaroftheGods, except for Jackpot City now, and that one is now LuckyWaroftheGods lol.
