Win from here, run out there

30 replies • Last post

I have been playing slot games for 3 years, I enjoy every win I get, but I also grieve when lost,
I'm happy with the slot game because I did not do any heavy thinking about how I won the game, I just thought what game could benefit me, unlike the poker game that squeezes my brain's performance by spending a lot of time but often gets a failure with a mistake ridiculous, but I have to share my time with my work activities every day,
But with the presence of slot games in my life, I can save my brain performance and can benefit even more so much more fun and more profit from slots,
But I have a weakness in one thing, that is after winning and withdrawal I always use the winning result to play slots elsewhere, and often from that moment I suffered defeat, so some of the wins that I can always lose due to my mistake,
The essence of everything I tell you is that I win but I can not enjoy my victory because of my own deeds by depositing into one casino from a winning result from another casino,
And is there any suggestion "how to avoid win here , run out there "
Thank you

bossulo

hi almeyda, I think that's commonplace in gambling, Anyone should put a time limit to gamble. my advice do not use your winning to gamble again. set monthly or weekend limit of your deposit from money that's you can lose and do not exceed your limit 🙂

Good advice bossulo.

It helps to set a target balance that you are happy to withdraw before you start playing. As soon as you win enough to reach your target it is time to stop playing until next week or month or whatever your time frame is. Always stick to this limit and keep a record on paper or a spreadsheet or something.

I know that can be easier said than done, especially if you are on a winning streak. But if you cannot set a budget and can't stick to your win target then you should think about stopping gambling before it becomes a problem for you.

that's the thing that happens most often with me, I feel I can not stop at a certain point even though the amount of my playing time is very limited, there's only about 30 minutes to 2 hours every day, but when some pretty good wins have disappeared time of 1 or 2 days, this is what makes me feel really playing just for entertainment without enjoying the results I get

it seems like one thing I have never done is set target, I just play and keep playing because of the sense of greed I have, lucky I have a natural deadline that I must obey because I have to share my time with work, rest, and for vacation, so without me setting the time to play I always have the same amount of time while playing every day, but maybe I will the way you suggest, because I have not done that, and that seems very reasonable, because I only enjoy 30% wins, and 70 % has been exhausted in different places,.

Good advices above guys, really the foundations of the gambling if you want to be a successful player in a long term(or at least keeping your loses limited), ironically I break few of those quite regularly.

Yeah an old school here...keeping my records on paper...that's the safer way for me(not in case of fire though 😉 ) but it could be useful, I keep my balances for the past 15-20 years, sometimes it hearts when I checking them though.

Hi Almeyda, I'm playing for quite some time, won't say for how long exactly ... because I would feel really old if I do that 😉
Just try to follow the wise advices Ed and bossulo gave it above and you'll be fine...relatively of course 🙂

haha, no sharpe, i do not mean to think you are old, but some of your suggestions like writing on paper and tacked on the wall is a smart way, it's quite simple for an idea, but it's pretty hard to do, and if I do that I am ashamed if all my family members will laugh at me, but it will still I try to do ,,

This is a problem for many gamblers I think, but it is absolutely possible to do something with. I`m having poker as my favourite game since I have been a winning player there for years, but I do also have a weekness for slots and roulette. And this went to be a problem for my poker balance at one point. What I won in poker I lost on slots, so I figured I had to do something about it. This resulted in a little project I have at the moment.

I am now trying to turn €50 into €10K by playing poker and slots (this also includes what I get from comp points etc). And I do it by first playing my sessions of poker, and whatever I win there I can play true one time in the slots. If I win €10, I can play 40 spins with bets of €0,25. Whatever I win or have left after those spins I will ad to my poker bankroll, and I will not allow myself to play slots before next time I have a profit in Poker. Whenever I have a loosing session I can not play slots, and I will have to win enough to cover the loss in poker before I can go back to slots again. But I see that you dont like Poker so I`m going to give my tips on slots.

I see that you say that pretty good wins have been lost in 1-2 days, with only 30 mins - 2 hoers of play. Have you been thinking true your bankroll management lately? What is your bet compared to your bankroll? I am pretty conservative when I play, so usually I try to play on a level that makes it possible to play atleast 1K spins before I have played true my bankroll. If I do not have enough to play 1K spins I will play at minimum bet.

Have you considered to take out only half of your win? If you win say €500, consider taking out 250 and add it to your private economy, and add the other to your bankroll. Continue like that every time you win, and you will benefit from the wins, and not loose it all back again, and at the same time have more money to play for. Its no point in playing if the winnings dont benefit you in some way.

Other players have already given the good advice of having a budget and stick to it. But I will add that sometimes it can be good to have a stop win point. Before you start playing, write down the amount you want to win, and if you reach that amount, stop playing and take the win. (and use it on yourself and not other casinos!)

Thanks for the good feedback, hope the tips will help in the future. I think it is all about how you view gambling. For me the thrill is not about big wins or the big bucks, but more about finding ways to beat gambling over time. And the more hard it gets, the more fun it is to find a way to do so. It can be done in many ways. Some may find systems that can be used, other hunt bonuses and some have sick skills in card counting etc.

But I will add more tips to this interesting thread, pointed to recreational players.

RTP. Do you know the RTP on the games you are playing or are you just picking games that looks great? I usually try to stick to games with an RTP on 96% or better. If you play alot the difference of a game with RTP on 95, and a game with RTP on 96 will add up to big bucks. Knowing RTP is a very important thing if you want to have success in gambling.

Separate money for gambling from your private account. And by separate i mean, have your bankroll on a bank account thats ment only for gambling. This is not only a good way to prevent yourself from using money ment for other things on gambling, but it also give you an idea on how you are doing in gambling.

Be a thinking gambler, and dont just push buttons. You may think that slots and other casino games are non beatable, but there are situations where you can turn the RTP in your favour if you pay attention. I actually have a story from a land based casino in Latvia where I found a malfunction slot machine that I used to grow my bankroll a bit. I was in the casino to warm up with some free drinks before heading to town for a party. And to get free drinks, you need to play slots. So I sat down at a slot containing a penny roulette game and played with the smallest bet. This slot machine however, had a malfunction with the spin button. It only worked now and then, so you would have to push it hard several times to get the spin going. First I was thinking to change to another machine, but decided to play on auto spin instead. And thats when i discovered that there was something strange with the slot. Around 50% of the spins done with the auto spin mode ended with the ball landing in the same area containing of just 5 numbers. At first I did not belive it to be anything else than a coinsident, but the same thing just continued to happen over and over again, so i decided to try bet those numbers. And it showed up to be a winner.

Now, this game would only let you bet pennies, so it was not possible to use it for getting big bucks. But what I did was to let the machine give me the nights bankroll every time I went to the casino. I would just sit down and play it for a while, building up some bucks wich I would use on games with chanses to win big. The endgame? I had some nice wins, and alot of fun, but in the end the casino removed the game from all their slots, so I guess they caught up with the fact that someone was beating it a bit more than normal 🙂 Im not sure what caused this error, but it did happen, and I gained from it. So pay attention when you play, and dont let the chance pass by when you get it, becasue it wont happen often.

(One interesting topic would be to hear what other players think about that move. Was it cheating from my side or was it legit?)

Hi Caliber26, I think you have a good experience for it.

So far I played games based on the number of players who play it. I think number of players will increase my chances. I see the number of players on some games at bet365, by clicking the game.

I don't recommend it but it often works well for me. I'm sure all the players have their way to find prey, like a predator who is hunting. I hope the casino is not a more vicious predator 😀

Hi caliber26_ I am interested in your experience that is pretty good and very important, like management in a company, all done in a good way, discipline and regular, I never thought about as you explain in detail, I am sure some people also do as you do but I'm sure not many people like you because it's hard to do, most of the slot players just make a deposit, then push the button and wait for the victory without understanding the other factors that exist in the world slot, applause for you

Almeyda, I think most players can learn how to do it, finding a good plan and a good strategy is not so hard when you get started. The hard thing is keeping focus, staying calm and having rock hard disipline when the heat is on and big swings show up. Disipline is the keyword here. I know some very intelligent gamblers who can outplay most people around the pokertable, count cards in blackjack and sniff out things giving them an advatage. But they do have the lack of disipline, and that is destroying their bottom line in the end.

If my profits don't rise while strictly playing using this advice alone and holding out completely from my impulses to keep playing when I shouldn't, I will quit gambling. That's a promise, my 2 week trial will begin Tuesday morning.

Another great post Caliber26. I definitely don't think you were cheating with the auto-roulette game. You just played the game as it was offered and did the "dumbest" thing possible - i.e. just put your money in and play it on auto. It sounds like the machine had a fault in its random number generator code which skewed the results.

You're also right about looking for high RTP games too. You definitely want to avoid the real low payout stinkers as it can make a big difference to your playtime, if nothing else. We actually have a list of a lot of game RTPs on the pages we have for each software provider on the site here. You can get there by going to the main menu and picking Casinos > Casinos by software provider. Then just pick a provider (eg Microgaming or Net Entertainment) then scroll down the page and we list all the ones we know.

Ed - you are right about the auto spin button, its a dumb thing to do, but in this case I had to play the slot to get some free drinks 😉 And it was a game where you could bet as little as €0,01 pr. spin. This ment it had to spin 350+ times with only loosing bets per free drink to be -EV, and I can drink faster than that 😜

WaroftheGods - If you have fun gambling and gambling is not a problem for you, then why stop? 2 weeks may be a very short period to see if a new strategy works for you because of the swings in gambling. But in my opinion the most important thing is to always try to improve your results, and that is what we all are doing in this forum, we are here to learn from others to improve our results. One of the big problems of alot of gamblers is that they learn the basics and then stop learning, and just play. Try playing less and learning more and you will see that the results will become better. Gambling theory may be boring at times, but it sure does something with your bottom line if you take it serious and use what you learn from it.

really discipline is a behavior that is rarely used by most players, it will be more difficult if we have to focus with discipline, because when a difficult situation comes will destroy the focal point that has been built, and that's where I often experience failure, nice caliber26
