Warning: Casino Extreme not processing Bitcoin withdrawals

11 replies • Last post

Just thought I'd give everyone a heads up that Casino Extreme, which prides itself on instant withdrawals, has been claiming an issue with their payment processor and is not currently processing any Bitcoin withdrawals.

I've had a withdrawal pending since Sunday and support is no help, unable to provide even an estimated time of the issue being resolved.

Ed, were you aware if this? Maybe you can get better info than I can.

It's very frustrating because they made no attempt to state their inability to process withdrawals when I was making a deposit.

I have not heard anything but it would not surprise me as there is congestion on the Bitcoin blockchain at the moment. Basically the time you have to wait for a BTC transfer is a trade off between the fee you are willing to pay and the time you are willing to wait. In years gone by you could transfer BTC for a couple of cents and only expect to wait no more than 10 minutes. Since the recent publicity, rise in value, and increase in popularity, the network is much more congested and if you want a transfer processed quickly you may have to pay $20 or more in fees at the peak of congestion.

I'll try to find out an explanation but it may be the case that the processor is waiting until the congestion dies down, which it usually does after a few days. This chart shows what is called the mempool over the past month. For context those blue and red slabs at the bottom represent fees of less than 10c.

Oh I understand the Bitcoin transaction fees have gotten crazy, but that also applies to deposits which I gladly* paid. To me that's just just the cost of doing business.

Also, with as much as Bitcoin value has risen as of late, I have a hard time believing any payment processor accepting Bitcoin is hurting financially from fees.

*Not really but whatever

Actually the payment processor doesn't get the fees that I am talking about. The BTC fees that are included on every transfer go to the bitcoin miners who include the transactions in the blockchain.

I assume that the payment processor earns its coin by charging a margin on the exchange rate and/or deposit amount. eg $1000 is worth 0.0581 BTC right now. But they might make you pay a couple percent extra on top of that and keep the difference.

I think they would probably be more concerned about quality of service right now, with people complaining of either having to wait hours to deposit their money to a casino, or having to pay for example $20 in fees on a $100 transaction. You do make a good point though if the casino is still taking deposits but not withdrawals.

We've emailed the guys at Casino Extreme and pointed out this thread to them. We'll see if they have anything to say on the matter.

Hi, Reckless Bets,

When you deposit BTC in Casino Extreme, do you play in BTC, too ?

I guess that you play in USD or Euro, then withdraw in BTC, right ?

You're right, the fees go to the miners and not the processor. My bad. But yeah, it seems like a common courtesy to state withdrawals are not being processed when depositing. And I'm a bit supporter of Casino Extreme normally... First issue I've had with them.

It does seem like all RTG casinos use the same payment processor (the interface is the same at least) so I wonder if this is a widespread thing.

No, the site converts to USD at the current exchange rate. Same with withdrawing when it converts back into BTC.

Hello Reckless Bets ,

We can only apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Thing is that we dont know what is really going on and why any payout wont go through . It is not related to satoshi fee which is always set to what's recommended . It has something to do with current setup on how we receive them where the small inputs are not getting confirmed which immediately blocked all our payouts . All we can do is to wait to get confirmations on those in order to get our wallet back to normal .

That said ,we are adding another processor which will solve all this mess . Honestly ,this is something new to us and sort to say it caught us of guards but rest assured we will compensate everyone affected with this by adding some more on top of the balance .

Once again apologies on any inconvenience caused.

Sincerely
MIkey

Great service. This is the way it should be done. Other casino managers should take note.

Just received my withdrawal plus a bonus on top, just as Mikey promised. Big props to Casino Extreme for being transparent and for the quick resolution of the issue. Thanks!

Hello All ,

This is to confirm that the issues are finally solved by adding another processor which should avoid any further issues .

We are here to pay fast and we will do our best to keep it that way.Sometimes the issues are just poping up and over the time everything stops as it happened last Friday .Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

All the best !

Mikey
