winnermillion casino (fraud warning)

36 replies • Last post

Anyone had any experience of this Curacao based casino? They have some unfamiliar account verification requests which seem to come in very poorly written English.

Like
_ Credit cards you made deposit with in the casino back and front. the last four digit of the front of the card need to be visible, please hide all the other numbers for your safety. the name should be visible. however the 3 CVV numbers on the back of the card need to be visible.
_
A written letter signed with Your First and last Name that approving you are behind your account and you are making deposit and play at Winnermillion.com since the 05/10/2017.

I must say asking me to leave the cvv numbers visible sounds very dodgy, but also what would be the need for the letter??

I have a withdrawable balance with this casino but suspect they won't let me withdraw until I have submitted what they have requested?

Whatever you do, do not give them the CVV number.

That sounds extremely dodgy. The whole point of the process is to verify you are the card owner which they can do by seeing the name and last 4 digits of the card number. They don't need the CVV number for anything.

"Curacao licensed" is for all intents and purposes unlicensed. Curacao's business is just collecting licensing fees from anyone who pays, not regulating casinos. Winner Million certainly aren't UKGC licensed so they should not be letting you play there if you are in the UK, and really you should be avoiding any site that isn't UK licensed.

Anyway, while they aren't asking to see the full 16 digits on the front, if you have used the card to deposit with them it is possible that they know the full number anyway. That isn't normally the case because payments usually go through a 3rd party processor and the casino doesn't know the full number but still it pays to be safe. If you assume they know the full card number and they already know your name and address, and you give them the CVV, your photo of the card will also show expiry date, bank etc. Everything needed to have your card duplicated and used for fraud.

Any time I have ever given a photo of my card (or license etc) to a casino or any other business I do the following:
1. Blank out all digits on the front of the card apart from the last 4.
2. Blank out the CVV number on the back.
3. I take my photos of the card on an angle so they can't easily be reproduced in the normal rectangular shape without distorting the image.

Further to this, I have checked out their site and the first game I looked at I recognised as a fraud. It was Net Entertainment's South Park slot which I know they pulled from the market recently so I thought it was odd they had it on site. So I checked the source code for the page serving the game and sure enough they are running pirated games.

This is the domain they are serving the games from:

netent-static.casinomodulle.com

This is a real Net Entertainment domain:

netent-static.casinomodule.com

Notice the double L in casinomodulle.com on the fake domain.

So forget about getting paid by these guys, they are an organised fraud.

I suppose they question may be asked as to why they would let you win if they are running pirated games they have control over. I suspect the answer to that is in the request they have made of you.

We'll add them to our blacklist today and post an article warning to get the word out.

casinomodulle.com is registered through a Russian registrar, and hidden/protected using Cloudflare. This is a huge red flag. Most fraud casinos running pirated games that we have seen are connected with Russia somehow.

Further to this, if I were you I would call your bank, cancel your credit card and reverse any deposits made to the casino ASAP, irrespective of whether you have given them the CVV number or not. You can assume that they have your name and card number already, and the CVV number is not always required to be used (for example if they make a physical replica card).

Are all NetEnt games on this site pirated?
When I try to play the free games there I get that I need to install Flash, and they are nice enough to give me a link to do so with...... even though flash is already running and the game start in the background.....

And Panders, Ed is right, get your card closed, its alot the right guys can do even with limited information...

Checked it myself, Sparks and The Invisible Man is also pirated and using casinomodulle, so I guess all games are pirated. Do you know more about the other game providers on the site, like Tomhorn?

T&C for WinnerMillion withdraval:

8.2.2 In case of substantial withdrawal requests we may request for copies of your driver’s license, recent bank statement, social security card details, valid passport or latest copy of utility bill such as gas, telephone, water etc. that bears your name and address.

It do not say anything about credit card. You could try to mention this in an email to them (and let us know how it goes) Smile
The rest of their withdaval T&C is like any serious players nightmare....

Imagine what they can do with your name, address, copy of utility bill, credit card number + CVV etc. Its a fraudulent casino and identity theft racket rolled into one.

I didn't bother checking the other games on the site as I don't really think it matters. What are you going to do, trust your money and personal details and play on any that aren't pirated? Of course not.

You are right ofcorse.
Our team was looking into it yesterday and find that when loading a game the network requests goes to both casinomodule.com and casinomodulle.com, for whatever reason...

I will send you a private message about this, Ed. Smile

Maybe if you explain that its an identity theft racket rather than a legitimate betting site they might be more receptive. It isn't like you could have won by playing there. I mean if you lose, they win. But if you win, they steal your credit card and personal info and potentially use it to commit identity theft and card fraud and... you lose.

Is the Curacao license so bad that they would not even react to a casino using their site for identity theft/credit card fraud etc?

I don't think that they are Curacao licensed. They claim to be but I can find no evidence that this is true. They do not post a link to their licensing certificate on their site, nor can I find one in Google. They just quote the generic 8048/JAZ master license number that countless other casinos use.

They also claim to be audited by iTech Labs, but clicking the logo goes nowhere. The site is a complete fraud.

This is really crazy that there are people who try to scam other players with pirated games and possibly stealing funds from your accounts (as they are asking for your ccv numbers) Thanks for bringing this up and letting us know about this site.

Hello.

After verification with netent directly, we have removed the netent games, those netent games was from one software only that proposed us, to add netent games for no setup fees, which is was good deal, and we were supposed to pay them only 20% from the GGR, which is +/- the same rate as netent.

We had no way to verify if this is real one or fake one.

As of today i confirm that all the netent games are not on our site anymore, the others games i confrim they all true.

Thank you for understanding and this is behind us.

Regards.

Wait .. what? You "had no way of knowing" that the games were fake? Rubbish. Yes you did. It took me less than 2 minutes to establish that they were pirated. You either didn't know how to check or you didn't bother checking because you didn't care to.

The thing is, I can easily believe the sob story. You're a person with little experience who thought starting a casino would be an easy way to make lots of money. And you went and signed a deal with some little known Russian games provider that is cheaper than everyone else comparable. Granted that would set alarm bells ringing in my head but hey, what would I know?

Sadly the casino industry is full of guys like you that are running cheap unlicensed white label casinos via untraceable shell companies. This is not a good thing for players.

All this lack of due diligence demonstrates is that you are neither competent nor professional enough to be running a casino that people should trust with their money.

This is why I come HERE first and I will not play any casinos that are not on CL's list of safe casinos. There is place that is THAT tempting to play at that you shouldn't listen to even the smallest red flag and WAIT to check it out here first. There are SO MANY other reputable casinos where you can play while you wait to hear if another is reputable or not. I can't believe these places still get away with this crap.

They aren't licensed or regulated so there is no authority that can help you, they don't have any publicly viewable company registration details, and they don't reveal the names of their owners... aside from some guy in Israel pretending to be a guy in France called Fabrice who you can see has posted here.

Maybe you can try sending him a private message and ask for your money (click the pic next to his name and the Send PM link). I'd be shocked if you got anywhere though as he clearly doesn't care about doing the right thing, just sweeping it under the carpet and "putting this behind him".

Like we said originally, if you deposited with a credit card and the transaction dates are still within the chargeback period, call your bank.

This is laughable I have just said I have had more then a few problems with your bogus casino and if this really is a staff member for the casino, how about you answer customer emails or have someone on live chat which is 9/10 times off line instead of arguing on a casino forum and clearly “mzbozi” is the same person as you both wrote back minutes after each over, I'm just very happy to see you are black listed from lots of casino review sites I only hope other people read them first.
