How much is your biggest loss in day?

46 replies • Last post

Hi everyone. I got "inspired" to create this topic because of my lack of luck yesterday. This month I was having a good run and had a few hundred euros in profit. Yesterday I managed to lose around 300€, in several casinos with about 50€ deposit each time. It's my biggest loss in a day as I am a lowroller and don't play with higher than 1€ bets. How about you? What is your biggest loss in a day? And of course, I was trying to regain my losses which I absolutely regret today.
Best wishes.

That depends on what you count as a loss. If you mean what I deposited or started with then its probably around £200 during one horror day at betfred a few years ago. But if you count the times I have won more than that and then lost it all back instead of withdrawing... Sick I dont even want to think about that. We've all been there I'm sure!

Thanks for your reply Chelsea. No, what I mean is the loss when you just deposit and lose and you've made several deposits in a day and lost them all. About te other one- oh, in the long run probably most gabmlers have lost more than won. I'm just mad about my lack of self control yesterday, I never deposit that many times and lose all.

Can't say an exact number for one particular day but I believe it was around 1250 EU loss in a single day, 7 or 8 years ago but it was sports betting not casino games.
Have another story when I lost my whole monthly salary in the same exact day I took it so i had to borrow some money to survive that month, certainly wasn't pleasant experience Smile

Wow, that is a lot sharpe. I don't really get sports bets but still it is quite a loss. I wouldn't mind the loss so much if my next withdrawal could cover it. Hopefully that will happen. May our wins be bigger than losses Smile

Yeah hopefully mate, although I'm experiencing one of the toughest periods in gambling terms this last month, hopefully the bad luck will come to an end sooner or later.

I understand you and wish good luck to all of us. The beginning -middle of this month was good but the end not so much, as I said I've never lost so much in a day.

I agree. Lately I have been chasing a little bigger win so I end up with nothing. I will be humble again and will take out winnings eve if they're small, the big win hasn't happened and the losses only increase.

Probably it's the right tactics mate, no matter at what kind of game exactly you playing it's always the right thing to try be safer especially when you feel that the luck is not on your side at the moment, but it's not easy thing to do of course.

Of course it's hard because there's always a little devil sitting on the shoulder saying- your big win is right around the corner and of course there are all the "what if's".

Yes indeed, and you think about the amounts you all ready lost and trying desperate to bring some of the lost money back which is always a huge mistake and almost never works.

This was exactly my last mistake. All I thought- I only need to win my loss back. Yeah, started out with 20€ loss and ended up 20x more. Sad. I know I should know better but I'm just waiting fo my Big Win as we all are.

My biggest loss is $125, which went down the drain in about 20 minutes with some awful blackjack luck Sad

I think mine would be $50.00 which is the most I have ever deposited at one time with a deposit match. But please do not ask how much I have lost so far this year. lol I am sure it adds up faster than I want to even know. Wink Tongue

I agree sharpe but at the same time we all are gamblers, expecting our big wins, so that's not uncommon to lose a lot.

The big win might come or not but it's important to keep losses at the minimum meanwhile, anyway I saw that my losses are the biggest here so maybe not in a position of giving advices.
Last month was the worst period for me in gambling terms although i had lost more before but seems like that would never end Scared

I agree with you. But sometimes it's hard to control yourself and you start thinking "what if" or "this win isn't good enough at least that's how it is with me. Last month was very bad for me as well, I lost most of my winnings and more, while I could really use that money right now. I'm trying to minimize my losses as much as I can.

I think you guys need to make sure that you set a budget and stick to it. Never play with money that you can't afford to lose. Casinos have the advantage so you should expect to lose more times than you will win. But when you do have a win, for goodness sake make sure you cash out! Smile

I know it feels good when you have a win and sometimes you want to play on and win more. But it should feel even better when you see that money back in your wallet! lol

Hi, guys,

I just found this topic and wanted to share my experience as well. I believe my biggest losses in one day are over a 1000 euros, and often, when things go bad, the only thing that can stop me is my credit card's daily withdrawal limit. It's very difficult, when you lose, not to try and get your losses back and generally you will just lose more. The thing is that you never know what awaits you, we are really playing with totally unpredicatable stuff, you know that you had a losing streak only when you went through it Smile So, yes, probably the only thing to do would be to set a limit and stick to it, no matter what you feel is coming. Actually I promised this countless times to myself but emotions almost always get the best of me. So, whe you feel you could go berserk, be careful, once you're there, it's too late. Joking

Hi, blck,

I totally understand you, I've done that so many times. When it happens, you feel so bad, but don't worry, I'm sure you have some cool stuff coming ahead, playing these games is embarking on a roller coaster, emotionally and financially. I lost so much in the beginning of the year I wanted to quit altogether but then something incredible happened, I started winning almost every time to a point I felt totally invincible, then in May I was down to zero and right now again some incredible stuff is happening. Be careful, try not to chase luck when it shies away from you, be patient and it will come by itself ! Wink

Yeah know about all that rules Ed, the problem is I don't have any wins in the last month although I play every day, I thought it's in top 3 of the worst periods I've ever had in betting but in fact its N1 Joking
I'm too experienced to know I just have to stop for a while but it's so damn hard to do that.

I once went to the horse races with some friends. I know nothing about horses and think the whole thing is stupid. But you would think I could pick at least one winner through sheer dumb luck. Alas no, I bet and lost on every single race that day. I think I was down about $200. I never went to or watched another horse race again. lol

Haha that is something I understand so well! For me it's the same with sports bets, I could bet on anything and would still probably lose. lol Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing Smile I agree with you, setting a limit is a good thing. I am starting to think that I will put at least half of my winnings in Neteller so I could save up a bit. I always use skrill for gambling and it's hard for me to stop when i have funds in skrill. so saving up would be a good idea. If I'd save up a decent amount it would be really hard for me to gamble such funds.
