If I wanted to state 10 interesting facts about online progressive jackpots, what might they be ?
I can think of a few.....
1) What was the largest online progressive ever won ?
2) What was the highest rtp of any online progressive ever achieved ?
3) What is the longest timeframe in which a progressive remained +EV before it was won ?
4) Are their any famous or well known JACKPOT chasers out there ?
I don't know the answers to the above and I cant think of anymore questions
You could start by clicking the Jackpots item in our main menu and looking at the information there. We also have an infographic which we did in the past that is now out of date.
As I am certain that you are writing an article or infographic on this subject, don't forget to quote your sources and give credit where it is due.

Im thinking about it yes.
Right now, Im trying to decide between a story about a notorious online JP chaser and something that isn't a story at all but just lists a bunch of interesting factos about online jackpots....
There are players that specialise in video poker and card game jackpots that are EV+. This can be a good way of getting an advantage without falling afoul of "bonus abuse" clauses, but you do need a very large bankroll to account for the massive variance. For obvious reasons they don't like to make themselves widely known, so it could be tough pinning someone down.
I only knew two. Yes their secretive. Micogamings SupraJax and JackpotDeuces were a fav.
They were very good though. One guy didn't even wait for the jackpot to become +EV. He would take generous bonuses and then wager high on normal slots. If he won and made the WR, he'd take a shot at the progressive. When he lost (and he always did lol), he would just repeat the process again. The casino would give him generous repeating bonuses too because they considered him to be a big loser (unless of course he won the pot)......This isn't even the "notorious" JP chaser I'm talking about!
Its funny you say that. I've had two emails from people not happy about our page that we created a while ago that lists jackpots with their RTP numbers. I guess they were onto a good thing and don't like the fact that anyone else can find the same information now. All I could say was bad luck, that's life. We're trying to give people good information so they can make informed decisions.
Sorry for the late response. Life got in the way!
The stats are very informative and not just for deciding when to play. I'm curious how you obtain some of that information too! Did you obtain all this data just by being a careful/studious observer?
I had a look at two mgs progressive video poker games just now: SupraJax and Jackpot Deuces. You mention that the jackpot has a hit frequency of 1 in 547,000 for SurpraJax and 1 in 883,000 for Jackpot Deuces. Are these based on a mathematical calculation using optimal strategy for these vp games or is it just an observed average?
I'm guessing its a mathematical calculation, since the SupraJax game is won once every six weeks but Jackpot Deuces is won once every three weeks. Hence if this was all based on observation, then Jackpot Deuces would have a lower hit frequency instead (unless of course this game is just being played much much more, but I don't see how anyone could know this information except the software provider).
Anyway congratulations on creating something very useful and unique! Most people here probably can't appreciate the work that must go into obtaining those stats, but if that's you keeping track of all those jackpots, then congrats!
Those numbers should be the actual calculated chances of hitting the jackpot based on the rules of the game and playing using optimal strategy.
Eyeballing it, I'd say they look way too high as the chance of a royal flush is somewhere around 1 in 40,000. Its likely that we forgot to divide the number by 5 to account for the max coins you need to play to qualify. I'll double check the numbers now...
... yes, the chance for both jackpots needed to be reduced by a factor of 5. Oops! That makes them:
Jackpot Deuces: 1 in 176,672
SupaJax: 1 in 109,510
However our RTP calculations were correct and weren't affected by that. It is an interesting point you make about Jackpot Deuces being won twice as often on average. Assuming that my maths is correct - I can only assume that maybe it is a more popular game and played more often.
In accordance with our bug hunt policy, you earned yourself 10 CLchips for pointing that out.
Thanks for the CLchips ed. Just 74 more and I get my $20 Amazon card!
Post a few short reviews of casinos that you have played at on their review pages and you get 5 at a time once approved. You'll be there in no time.
You can also state about the most and the least popular balls or hits, the Luckiest Progressive Jackpot Player, What are the most popular and biggest paying online progressive slots you can play online today?
I think I remember hearing that the luckiest progressive winner was someone who had won a jackpot off of a 1 cent wager twice in her lifetime! Maybe its just a rumor, idk
A little while ago MegaMoolah was up to 13M before it was won. I think that was certainly up there in terms of biggest online wins.
As far as writing "original/new" info. I was using the stats here at Casinolistings to determine which progressives are played the most frequently. By dividing the inverse of the hit frequency by the average time it takes to win the jackpot, one can determine how many spins per day a particular game is played!
