Hi CL Friends,
I am having a veyr "different" experience at Sparton Casino. They surely do things differently, which makes me a little hesitant of ever depositing there.
I received a 30 dollar free chip in the my email, came here to read about them, then decided that it was worth a try to at least see what the games were like.
When I created my account I went to chat where they said I should go to claim my money. I told them I was there to claim my money, and I noticed it said 25 dollars in my account. I chatted and said that it should say 30, because that is what it said in the email. When they replied after several minutes, Leroy said, "I just added 30 more."
Next, I asked about the wagering requirements and the maximum cashout, and this is where it gets strange at least not what I am used to. He said there were no wagering requirements until I make my first deposit. I said, I thought it was a free chip and he said, it is. I also asked about games and he said "all games unlocked." Then followed up with "except table games."
I then said, "Just a little confused cuz typically those come with wagering requirements and max cash outs."
After which he said, "Yes 25 times wager after first deposit."
He would not answer me about a maximum withdrawal and the above still makes no sense to me. Almost as he changed as we continued to chat.
So far I am not overly impressed with the games, and I wonder if I even want to play just in case I get lucky. Who knows what other things they make up as we go along?
Does this make sense to you?
Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of the things, and no good thing ever dies.
Spartan Slots is a TopGame casino. Normally I would tell you to head for the hills when encountering one of these, but this one is run by the same people who own Slotocash, so it is one of very few that are ok (I'm not going to say "good" because I think the software provider TopGame sucks).
Either the chat guy has no idea how to clearly communicate the rules, or they have some odd wagering requirements on a "no deposit" that only apply after you deposit. Which makes no sense.
I had a look at their website and I can't tell because there are no free chips listed there, which suggests that it was an email-only offer. Did the casino send it directly to you, or was it spam from an unknown source?

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.

CL-Ed, the email was directly from them. And it was kind of strange that the chip was for 30 dollars, yet the account registered 25 and then he said he would put in 30 dollars more. I don't know if the 25 was in there right after I created my account or if it was once we started chatting. Either way, I can't complain about an extra 25 dollars than I expected.
Thanks for the information. I am not overly impressed with the games, but I am enjoying the Reel Gangster one.
What do you think I should do to be provided with further clarification? Is it worth emailing them or should I wait and see if I win or not?
Some of the games load really slowly, and a few won't load at all.
This is what free chips are for, in my opinion. This one, especially, tells me I would never want to deposit in this casino. The games are not that great, and those that look interesting won't load. I did have a bit of fun on the Reel Gangsters I mentioned above.
Another annoying "feature" is there is a pop up next to the chat box (which is always present to the right of the casino, which I also do not like - not sure why, but it just bothers me) that keeps popping up saying, "Add more funds?" Um.......no. If I wanted to add more funds I would or will do so without them bothering me about it.
Have a few bucks left to play tomorrow, but so far I am definitely not overly impressed with this one.
This casino is really trying to recruit players.
Today when I opened it, there is a message in that ever-present chat box that says, "a 500% bonus on your first deposit today? No max cash out plus you can unlock all games, plus your VIP level will increase. What do you say?"
Of course I can only imagine what the play through amount would end up being on a 500% match bonus.
Your instincts are good. While I think that the operator of this casino is honest, I don't trust TopGame itself at all (<= read the page on that link for more info). A few years ago they were busted running games that didn't have a wild symbol on one reel. This of course made it impossible to win the top paying prize on the affected games, not to mention numerous other combinations that would have included that wild symbol.
The vast majority of their licensees are shady, cheap casinos with tiny payment limits and way too slow payments. And they have worked with a number of rogue operators that flat out rip people off and I have seen no indication that they have tried to help anyone or rectify the situation, nor that they even care at all.
Yes, I definitely did NOT like this casino. Not only did they bug me while playing, but I had the casino closed, was typing an email, and all of a sudden their chat box pops up asking me if I want to play more! It was in my programs so I tried to get rid of it and it would not delete. Now that has NEVER happened to me before and it really bugged me. AT least with emails you can choose not to look at if you don't want to and if I want to chat or deposit or play I don't need them reminding me every two seconds or while I am doing other things online.
As soon as this happened, I went to my control panel and even though I think I Had a few dollars left in there I uninstalled.
I was really bothered by the chat box popping up at all let alone when I wasn't even playing
That is plain nasty. It must install an extra program that runs all the time even when the main casino software is closed. Just another thing to add to the list of reasons why I dislike TopGame.
YES! I honestly could not believe it - never had anything like that happen before. There is another casino in CL reviews that looked decent, but then when I read on other members said they call constantly. Don't these places realize what a complete and total turn off things like this are? If marketing people tell them it will help them, they are sadly mistaken.
