It is interesting but there is some contradictory stuff in there. For example:

Quote:

1. All slot machines are random, and short of cheating, which could land you in jail, there's nothing you can do to alter that fact.

vs

Quote:

24. Never leave a machine on a winning streak. Set a loss in a row limit, then move on to a new machine.

If the games are random (which they are), then it doesn't matter if you leave while on a winning or losing streak. The results of recent spins do not make one difference to how you will do on the next spin.

The most important piece of advice there is this:

Quote:

59. Keep the promises you make to yourself. Leave when you reach your win or loss limit.

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing.

9. Push the spin button, pull the handle, or do both at the same time, it makes no difference in the outcome.

Up until a few years ago there were old people at the casino who believed there really was a difference in pulling the handle. Now you are very hard pressed to find a machine with a handle at all... I don't think I even saw one the last time I dropped into my local casino.

The only ones left where I play are on a row of dollar machines, including the Double Diamond. Once in a while I will pull the handle just for the heck of it.

I have a friend who actually believes the casino can determine who wins or loses based on if she is using her players card in the machine or not. Half the time I don't bother to use mine anymore, because they have taken away all the prizes and good comps rewards for the lowest on the players club totem pole. They used to send me things all the time, including free rooms during the week, five dollars per month free play and more offers, and now I get nothing - not even a monthly gazette.

This may have to do with the fact they now offer free drinks in parts of the casino now and to pay for that they have to take away from the rest of us, I guess. I am really disappointed in the land casinos around her lately - even more so than usual. Sad

I can see their point here. Even if random, sometimes if I hit something I will stay and spin a bit more to see if it continues to pay. And I will often be heard saying, "this one died now!" lol before moving on. Never hurts to try if it seems on a hot streak. Smile
