Monty Python's Spamalot Holy Grail Jackpots

5 replies • Last post

Hi,

Playing this slot right now and I think the description of the two jackpots is wrong(or there was some error for me):
"If you make it all the way to level 6, you will be faced with two symbols. Pick the right one and you will win this hefty bonus (at the time of writing over €1.2 million); pick the wrong one and you will the considerably smaller bonus (at the time of writing a mere €770)."

I got to the last two symbols twice so far and when I clicked one of it I got nothing, not even the smaller jackpot.

Thanks - I'll check it out and update the info. And you get 5 CLchips for reporting a mistake too.

The 6th level has 2 items. Choosing the correct item wins one of the 2 jackpots. The higher the bet, the bigger the chances of winning one of the jackpots.

You are right - I think our reviewer must have slightly misinterpreted that part of the rules. If you pick the right item you win one of the jackpots, so it could be the big or small one, and if you pick the wrong item you don't win a jackpot. I assume that even though it is picking 1 of 2 items, its probably not a 50/50 chance of getting a jackpot.

Yeah I think so too.
I was at the last stage 5 times now and never won any jackpot.
Assuming a 50/50 chance to win thats a 3% chance that this happens.

Would be interesting to know what the casino says about this.
Maybe winning one of the jackpots is linked to the total bet amount?
Btw do you have to play all lines to have a chance for the jackpot?

Bonus games are often deceptive in the way they present your chances of winning. For example Mega Fortune has a "Wheel of Fortune" style wheel with segments of equal size, but I guarantee you that the jackpot segment does not have an equal chance of being spun as all the others. So I would say that it is no different in this game.

The bet amount definitely influences your chance of winning the jackpot in this game. Page 8 on the paytable states that the bigger your bet size, the higher your chance of triggering the jackpot.

As for whether you have to play all lines, I don't think so because the bonus is triggered by scatter symbols so you can probably just play one line. But I suspect that you would have less chance of winning it because you are betting 1/20 of the amount that someone playing all lines is betting.

Yeah that might explain it. Only played 20 lines of 0.01$ for a total bet of 0.2.
Most likely there was a very remote chance of getting a jackpot whichever of the last two symbols I took...

If you play solely for the bonus games and the free spins/jackpot game you could play only one line with a higher bet per line because both the bonus games and the free spins are both independent of played lines.
Example: 1 line with 1$ instead of 20 lines with 0.05$.
I wonder if that makes any difference for the jackpots.

It would make sense that you should have the same chance betting 1 line at $1 vs 20 lines at 5c each.
