The Mis-Bet

4 replies • Last post

I had a crappy thing happen to me this last weekend when I was playing some blackjack at Slots Capital this past weekend.

By the title of the thread, you can obviously tell I threw up a mis-bet. The size of the mis-bet was insane though.

I ended up starting with a balance of just under $25 while playing there after I had cleared out the free chip that I got (thanks CL!). I decided to play multiple hands of the game in order to hopefully build up a better balance.

I ended up grinding it up to having a balance of $52, and thought I may just play a $10 hand. Unfortunately, I was not paying attention and instead of clicking the $5 chip twice; this guy clicks $25 twice!

Guess who gets a 12?

I did not win the hand. Not impressed, lol.

Its an unwritten law of gambling that you never win when that happens

Exactly! Just like when "bet max" is accidentally hit on the slot machine. Couldn't one get a BIG WIN just ONCE when that happens? Not likely, lol.

Oh, EM. GEE!!! I am crying here! I just did a HUGE mis-bet (and why can't we ever WIN when we do this???) Sad

I loaded the casino 'Slim was talking about in the perpetual thread. I am a LOW better as most of you know, and I played the Jungle game for a while. Then I went to play the Summer Party slot. I tried to put the bet over 20 cents, and the button stuck, so I kept clicking it. nothing. Then I went to click on the spin button and nothing. Then back to the bet button. I was just about to back out of the game and try another when the previous clicks I did on the buttons decided to work and it ended up doing a TWENTY DOLLAR spin, taking almost my entire bonus! Like I said, I am seriously CRYING here! I did NOT mean to do that, obviously! Damn casino and damn me for not being more patient!

I wonder if I should try to explain to the rep and if they would give me anything back or if it is worth it or not and just chalk it up to live and learn? Good grief, I am angry with myself right now! I thought I would have a little while of play and to try the fun games. Sad

Well, I guess Box24 is no Win A Day casino. They said they were unable to work anything out with me at all. Of course they could offer me a wonderful bonus with a deposit match, lol. They also gave me the names of their two "sister casinos," saying I could go there and claim no-deposit bonuses, but now I have a bad taste in my mouth about this place. I didn't expect to start over, but giving a little would have been nice, when it was not completely my fault, because when I clicked on the buttons NOTHING was happening at all. I even waited a little bit in between. and when I clicked "spin reels," it still said 20 cents. It was only AFTER I placed the spin it went up to the 20 bucks quickly. lol! Good grief. It is not the biggest deal in the world, but mildly disappointing.
