Hi folks, as you can no doubt guess we receive loads of email from people via our contact page. And sometimes we receive something so incredibly stupid that it makes me want to share it with you all. So I decided to start this thread to post them here for your enjoyment.

Here's a classic. It wasn't actually an email but a thread some fool tried to post here.

Quote:

I am Carolina Alegre from London UK. I am a woman who play casino to make a living ever since my husband died five years ago. As you all known casino game is a game of luck, sometimes you win while sometimes you lose. I played sometimes I win sometimes I lose. One day a friend of mine in Texas USA introduced me to a good spell caster by the name Dr Ogun, in which I contacted him and he casted a spell and ordered me to go and start winning as I play. I want to use this wonderful opportunity to thank Dr. Ogun who helped me to win all the games that I played. I won(£33,035,323), I have spent so much money playing this games for many years,I asked myself sometime when will I win huge amount of money? it came to pass when I contacted the great spell caster Dr ogun. He assured me that my request will be granted once he cast the lucky winning spell I believed and really I played and won straight five games resulting to thirty three million, thirty five thousand, three hundred twenty three pounds, right now i am short of words, I am a multimillionaire and I win invest so wisely and continue playing and winning. Dr ogun is the best man on earth to work with. My friends, please do contact him in his email: XXXX for your own lucky winning spell.

Doctor Ogun, the magic lottery winning wizard. How dumb do they think people are? Actually if you google Doctor Ogun they have been at it for years on all sorts of sites.

Next we have "Denis" a.k.a. "Swampfox", an angry man with a grudge and a very light grasp of reality.

He copied us on an email that he sent to Google and the US Government, hoping to get us into trouble by complaining that we are constantly spamming him and refuse his requests to stop.

Quote:

-------- Original Message --------
Subject: Fw: New comment posted about "Ruby Slots Casino Review" (Casino Listings)
Date: Wed, 17 Feb 2016 07:01:12 -0500
From: Denis XXXX
Reply-To: Denis XXXX
To: spam @uce.gov, abuse @google.com, postmaster @google.com

unsolicited, unwanted junk email/spam.
Fake links to advertising website not account.
requests to get off email list continue to be completely ignored.

Below that was a copy of one of our standard notification emails that you receive when someone makes a new comment on a thread you are subscribed to.

The thing is, Denis does in fact have an account here and he used it to post a complaint about the rogue casino Ruby Slots back in 2013. He never visited again with that account so the halfwit has probably forgotten that he signed up. There were 2 comments made on that review yesterday so it is no surprise that he received a single email about it.

Do you think my reply was too harsh? I really struggled to be polite:

Quote:

Mr angry and confused Denis,

Contrary to the malicious and false claims made in your email, here are some facts:

1. We have an account registered on our website using your email address, with the username "Swampfox".
2. It was registered with a timestamp of 1375112327 (Mon, 29 Jul 2013 15:38:47 GMT) and last accessed 1375113465 (Mon, 29 Jul 2013 15:57:45 GMT) - obviously a one time visit.
3. The user account has confirmed their email address - i.e. the user was able to receive an email and click a clink to prove they had access to it. So it wasn't someone using a fake address that happened to be yours.
4. The user made a single post - a complaint about a casino which you can read right here:
https://www.casinolistings.com/casinos/ruby-slots-casino-review#comment-...
5. The email you received is an automated notification that someone else posted a comment to that same page.
6. We do not spam people, ever.

Now I can think of a couple of explanations:
1. You have recycled someone else's old email address during the last 2 years that shares almost the same name as you (unlikely).
2. Someone else who uses your computer and has access to your email signed up and posted that comment (maybe).
3. You simply forgot that you ever signed up at our site because it was over 2 years ago, and you only ever visited once (most likely).

Now I can understand your frustration with receiving spam. I hate spam as much as you do. In fact, probably more. You should see my inbox after years of playing at and reviewing casinos.

But what I cannot understand is why you have to invent a story that we are spamming you and not complying with your requests to stop. Contrary to what you said in your email, I checked our mail archives and we have never received anything from you in the past, nor have you changed your notification settings to turn them off. Here's a clue: we even tell you how to do it in the very email that you are complaining about. Alternatively if you had simply hit reply and asked to please stop sending me mail it would have been a 30 second process for me to turn it off for you. Instead I find myself writing a long email justifying what we do to a random keyboard warrior.

And not only that, you're attempting to cause trouble for us by emailing organisations that you think care enough to punish us. While I highly doubt anyone that you emailed will do anything, if someone does contact us about it you can be sure that I will be passing on all this information to them.

Reading between the lines here I have to assume that you don't want to use our site again. So I'll go ahead and lock your account and you can be assured that you will never receive another email from us after this one, provided you do not reply and try to argue the point. In that case I'll probably respond and say some of the things that I edited out of this email after further reflection and use of my better judgement (i.e. it won't be as polite as this one).

I hope you have a better day than me, you sure have gotten mine off to a shocking start.

I'm resurrecting this thread after years of frustration and finally cracking and replying to one of the many messages we get from webmasters or SEO agencies that try to solicit links from our site to theirs in order to boost their site's search engine rankings. This is despite us posting a completely clear message on our contact form page that says that we aren't interested in such offers. Here we go:

Quote:

George Draper sent a message titled "Editorial" using the contact form:

Hi,

I have been writing blogs/articles for sites within all industries for some
time now and was wondering if you would be at all interested in me writing a
blog/article to feature on your site?

I can send you over a topic and the links I would like to include within the
piece to start so that you can approve it before I move forward.

Could you please let me know if this would be of interest to you?

Thanks,
George

If you would not like to work with me on a placement of this sort please feel
free to reply letting me know

So this person wants us to publish an article that he has written on our site that will contain links back to a site of his choosing in order to try and boost its rankings. Do you love the smug final line as much as I do? If we don't want to "work with George" we should reply and let him know because obviously he is so important and all. Well lucky for George I did reply, just this once...

Quote:

Congratulations George.

You caught me on a bad day so I'm actually going to bother replying to you instead of deleting your message like we do with all the others of a similar nature. You should feel special, it is the first time we have replied to one of these in years.

Seeing as you specifically selected the "I have feedback about this website" option - which you clearly don't - how about actually giving us some feedback and telling me what is so hard to understand about the message below? It is the one that is printed plain as day right above the contact form that you used to send us your enquiry. Oh, what's that? You only picked the "I have feedback about this website" option because there wasn't another one that was relevant to what you are trying to do? Gee, I wonder if that is deliberate?

-----
Webmasters, agencies, and SEO grunts
The answer is no.

We will not publish your articles with links to your or your client's site in them. We do not participate in link exchanges. We aren't interested in buying links on your sites, and we do not need your assistance to reach the top of search engine rankings. Don't even bother asking. Yes really, we are not joking or trying to fool anyone. We get loads of these enquiries despite this clear and unambiguous message and it's a waste of your time and ours.
-----

I think it is well written, unambiguous, and leaves no room for misinterpretation. Yet still we get emails like yours almost every single day. So clearly it isn't working like it should. Perhaps you could use your editorial skills to tell me how exactly we could make it clearer so that the seemingly endless supply of amateur SEO agencies and idiots like yourself can understand and not bother us with these requests?

I'll let you all know if George gets back with some suggestions.

If someone seriously is looking for a writer's position in CL(or somewhere else), the proposal shouldn't be like what he sent you. That sounds ridiculous.

Haha 😂 Thread of the year 🙂
Remember the casino WinnerMillions?
I wrote a article about their shady business, but figured I would give them the chanse to defend themself before publishing it. So i sendt them an email and asked them how they would deal with the scandal they had caused.

Their reply: Spamming my email once a week with how good affiliate deals they would give me if I would just sign up to their affiliate program. I mean, how big letter do I have to use for them to understand that they are blacklisted and that this was a way too friendly attempt to let them defend themself.

When I stopped answer they became more agressive in order to make me "feel bad" about not signing up to such a great deal". 😜

Now if you thought George was stupid you're going to love this next one. This may well be the nuttiest conversation I've ever had with anyone on this site. Strong language warning.

Here we go...

Quote:

Michael ****** sent a message using the contact form

You are a bunch of chicken shit scum bags, not listing your mailing address
or any pertinent information about your miserable self! I don't want any
snail mail nor email or any communication with you assholes. You are a waste
of space and time and a bunch of c**ksuckers to boot!
Take it for what it is worth!

Ooooooookay then... this is my reply, together with some inline replies he made after receiving it.

Hi Michael,

Charmed to meet you. I'd like to correct a couple of misconceptions:

1. According to our records you have never registered on our site and therefore your email is not in our records at all. The only time we've had any contact with your email address is from your lovely email and once I press delete on it after finishing this reply it will be gone forever as far as we are concerned. So if you don't want any email contact with us you could maybe, I don't know... hmmm how about not sending us email in the first place?

IF YOU DON’T SEND ME ANY ADVERTISING!!!!

2. In over 10 years of running our website we have never sent anyone snail mail of any sort. We don't collect anyone's mailing address which would make it impossible to do even if we wanted to, which we don't.

Bull f***ing shit! Where do you think I got the envelope with an enclosed flyer of one of your companies casinos from?

So you're wildly off target with your email and I'm quite puzzled by it. Maybe you intended to send this to a casino that you are unhappy with and sent it to us by mistake? It happens surprisingly often actually. Or maybe there is someone out there sending you email and snail mail in our name? That would be extremely weird and more than a little concerning for us. If so please forward me a copy of this stuff you have received.

Unfortunately, I shredded this flyer; from which I found your email address from. This doesn’t happen by accident and it must have been connected to your company in some way. They didn’t leave any mailing address on this flyer but, as I said, it led me to your email address. Tough!

I'd love to give you our mailing address but somehow I don't think you'll be sending us a Christmas card and given how obviously angry you are I think it's best we remain internet only friends. Sorry, it's not me, it's you.

You are mistaken, I don’t keep friends these days. The last one I had was in 1965 and he tried to poison me, ha, ha; unsuccessfully! I don’t need “friends”, on the internet or otherwise. I am happily married and lead a wonderful and debt free life!

Regards

Mr Chicken Shit Scumbag
Casino Listings

To which he replied (together with above inline replies):

Quote:

Mr. Chicken Shit Scumbag,

Touchy, touchy, touchy, you “NEW AGE” idiots cannot take any criticism, can you?

I know you don’t have/had my email or any other electronic information. BUT, you or some company you hired has my former home address and are sending scumbag garbage to that address. Since I paid good Dollars to get my mail forwarded to my new address I received some stupid scumbag flyer, addressed to my former address. This is not the first time that I received mail from some so called casino which I do not want. If you or the company you hired are using a list that includes my name and address, they are doing something illegal and I would appreciate it if you’d send me their name and address. They will regret their action!

I don’t mince words and I do not comply with NEW AGE etiquette, as you probably can tell. I have no intention to “join” this shit society, as I have lived through the last 76 years without any “hick-ups”. Most of the people today have shit for brains and they forgot to stir it and I have no intentions to please them!

I hope this helps and thank you for your prompt answer!

Mike ******
Don’t forget to read below inserted comments!

Well at least he was polite enough to thank me for a prompt answer after calling me an asshole, a c**ksucker, a chicken shit scumbag, a new age idiot, and a shit for brains.

To be continued...

I still felt we have been unfairly maligned and I don't think he understood my previous email at all so I had another go:

Quote:

Sorry Mike,

Whoo look who's triggered. Calm down, at your age that sort of rage can be fatal.

Let me make it crystal clear, so that even you can understand what I am saying.

We don't own, run, or operate any casinos. We are an independent website that tests and reviews casinos and gives people information about sites that they may be considering playing at. As I correctly suspected, you are receiving email and letters from a casino. Therefore it has nothing to do with us. Nothing. Nought. Nada. Zilch. Zero. Zip.

Addressing a couple of the more idiotic points you made:

1. We have never sent you any advertising. We don't do that at all.

2. You did not get an envelope with an enclosed flyer for "one of our companies" because, as I have stated clearly above, we don't run any casinos, nor do we mail anyone anything as we don't have your (or anyone else's) address.

3. You did not get a flyer with our email address on it. The first email you sent us was via our contact form on our website which does not publish our email address. So you didn't even know what our email address was until I replied to you.

4. I'm sad to hear that the last friend you had over 50 years ago tried to poison you. Did you wrongly accuse him of mailing you stuff that you didn't want too?

Feel free to apologise any time. We can still be friends. I promise not to try to poison you. You are obviously far too clever to fall for that one again.

Regards

Mr C***sucker
Casino Listings

Which prompted this weird reply...

Quote:

That’s too bad Mr. c***sucker! You have a pretty thin skin, do you? But then again, most of these useless “educated” people these days can’t take very much abuse. Well, I had my fill after the war by the Yankees, the French, and the British. Lying bastards, most of them but not all!

And really, I couldn’t give a shit of what you do; as it looks to me, it is a totally useless job. Who needs Casinos and especially who needs to rate them!?

Apologize? For what? I don’t know you and you don’t know me, and there are to many of us c***suckers on this fricken world in the first place. I do agree with Bill Gates on this point!

All the rest is trivial!

Good talking to you!

😕 After reading that I'm still not sure whether this was a genuine email or a complete wind up by someone playing a joke. It can't be for real, surely?

Do you like how the ranting and raving lunatic keeps telling me that I am touchy and have a thin skin? The best part is that he can't understand why he would need to apologise. You would think that a person of his claimed age might have learned some common decency and manners by now, but apparently not.

Anyway, here's to you Mike from Canada!** 🍺

** I'd just like to clarify for the conspiracy theorists out there that the IP address he used to post on our contact form indicates that he is in Canada, not that we had his address the whole time.

Oh dear. It seems that George is not happy. Remember George? He's the guy whose job it is to digitally cold call people who want nothing to do with him and pay them to insert pre-written articles onto their websites that contain links to his clients' websites in them. He's basically a professional spammer.

He's the guy who, after reading our contact page message that clearly states that we're not interested in said emails, still sent us an unsolicited commercial email disguised as feedback about our site in an attempt to get his article spam on our site. He's the guy who, after getting a reply that made it very clear that we aren't interested in his commercial spam, decided to try it again.

Apparently he doesn't know how that could have happened though. Here's a clue George, I'd say it's a 99.9999999% chance that you came back to our site and pasted in your message to the contact form again and clicked submit. I guess there is always the 0.0000001% chance that somewhere in a room full of monkeys sitting at keyboards attempting to randomly recreate the works of Shakespeare they may have randomly created the second email complete with your name on it and submitted it. But I digress.

And now he's the guy who is attempting to bully us by threatening to report us to some authority somewhere because he reckons we're violating the new GDPR law by calling him out and putting his name on this page. Seriously, how dumb are people like George? Happy to dish it out but completely unable to take it back. It says a lot about his character and it isn't good. I've encouraged George to submit his complaint so that we can go forward and share the full story of his conduct with whoever it is he complains to. I'm sure they will find his "professional" conduct intriguing.

O, I loved that guy Michael, that was no doubt the post of the year..no..on the decade!

I laughed so much that I almost pied in my pants .Hilarious really.

First of all a new age idiot should be a compliment because this means you're still young Ed!
I would love someone to call me that, but no one did it since 65' 😉 when that unsuccessful poisoning attempt occurred:-D 😂 😂

Have just one question Ed, is there any extra bonuses for CL members at yours casino? 😉

Common Mr Chicken Shit-Scumbag or Mr c***sucker (don't know which name you prefer better) don't give up on Michael so soon, I believe in love...you could still be fiends...just internet..or not 🙂
