For example, if I win the lottery here, I would have to give up like 40% to taxes. Does this tax rate apply to the country in which the jackpot is won, or is it dependent on the casino (or operator's) home country?
Either way this is a huge life changer, but to have it diced up by taxes takes a bit of the shimmer away.

StaffI don't know the answer to the tax question. I assume it would be the country of the player receiving payment. However I suspect there would always be the option of moving house to a tax haven for a few years to receive the money. For that amount it would be worth it!
