Anyone else having troubles....

18 replies • Last post

....with the online casinos showing up? What I mean, is ever since I got my new computer, I am having a lot of trouble signing into the Club World casinos. It will say either "unable to connect to the server," when I try to sign on and/or when I go to a specific game AND it will also show the "not able to connect page," sometimes, well oftentimes, when I try to go to the tournament page.

I am wondering if it is the casinos or my new (used) computer. Because when it says this, I am on other websites, too, so I am clearly connected to the internet.

I was just wondering if anyone else is experiencing these "glitches." It is just really acting up, as I try to sign on and/or navigate through the online casinos, mainly Lucky Red, Club World, and Slot 'O Cash. I haven't had these issues with 3Dice at all, so it has me wondering what is going on.

Thanks!

You may have some security program blocking the casino sites. You may have to change your security settings to let the site in. With my new computer, I had to click on site info then it would let me see the whole website. What is your security program?

uninstall the program, download the installer, and make an exception to the installer, allowing it to be downloaded, this is most likely caused by your firewall or virus software. Under no circumstances should you uninstall these, there are ways around it, what is your anti virus program and what firewall do you use?

Recently I had to change my firewall settings to allow some gaming sites in as well.

Well the strange thing is it does not happen all the time. If that was the problem would it only happen SOMETIMES? (but often enough to bug me).

I have AVG, and I am not sure what firewall I have.

Are you using a different browser at different times? If you use the same browser all the time, then that would make me wonder if it was the website.

I typically use Firefox/Mozilla for all my searching. I rarely use Explorer anymore.

you should be able to have avg ignore the casino by adding an exception under advanced, I stopped using AVG 3 years ago, so I would be of little help on this one.

Why did you stop using AVG, if I may ask, and what do you use now?

When my computer guy sold me this computer, that is what he had on here. On my last computer, I had AVG and Microsoft Security Essentials, and I did not have one problem with the casinos.

Now it is just strange. It doesn't do it all the time, but enough that it bugs me. It will say "Unable to communicate with the server." Then I will click out and sometimes I can click right back on and it will be okay.

Or that page will show up on the tournament page when I try to go back. It says, "unable to load the website," or something like that.

I'm still using AVG as my other back-up. I do not have any problems at all. If there's a virus, it flickers my screen. I always full scan and restart before shutting down for the day.

Also, I remember when I could not play casino games, I changed my user account control setting.

Just go to "Control Panel" then locate the "Change User Account Control settings" .You have to change from high to medium setting by moving the slider right in the middle and click OK. Please make sure you restart your computer.

OR you can also type it on the Windows search box if you're using Windows 7

If your anti-virus or security software was blocking the casino then it would be blocked full stop and it would not work at all. The fact that the problem is intermittent suggests that is not the case.

My guess would be either it is the casino's server that is playing up (possibly too much traffic to handle the number of players) or it is a problem with your internet connection. If you're on wireless it could be your wireless signal dropping out now and then. There could be lots of explanations unfortunately.

I am now thinking it WAS the casinos? Because since I posted it has not happened once. So, what CL-Ed says makes sense. I will have lots of great suggestions from you all to fall back on if it is ever IS an issue with my computer. I really didn't think it was, because of how sporadic the incidents were.

Thank you, everyone, for always pitching and being so helpful. This is the best community EVER! 🙂

Of course, now that I said it is not happening as often, it starts happening again today. lol Lucky Red won't let me see the cashier page and Club World won't load the tournament page. Ugh. 😢

Strange how it only happens with certain pages and only once in a while OR with certain games when I try to load them. Sometimes, when I try again right away it is fine then and sometimes not. Frustrating.

Today it is worse than ever. I am not sure what the heck is going on. I have never had these issues before, and my settings all look good.

I just wanted to play ONE tournament before I get to work today. Start my day with a little relaxation and free play, but no such luck. lol

Today this is only happening at Club World and Lucky Red. I was able to get to the Slot O Cash tournament page, but of course there are no open tournaments for me to play for 11 more hours. lol I am giving up, and I will try again later. Maybe I will try to restart my computer first and see if that works, and if it doesn't, I give up for a while. This never happened until I got this new computer, but then again, I am having no issues with 3Dice or Slot O'Cash, so it makes me wonder about Club World and Lucky Red. I guess I am supposed to be working instead of playing. lol!

Glad you worked it out Hope. I sometimes get a script error message at the club world casinos especially since the new tourny formatting and it is usually fixed by restarting my computer.
