Warning about Titan Casino

12 replies • Last post

Hi all,

First post.
I registered just for the sake of posting this warning about Titan Casino.

Apologies if this is posted in the wrong place - feel free to move it admin.

Titan casino is not currently on the prestigious blacklist, but I believe they have earned the right to be there.

I am well aware of casino bonuses and how they work. I have been stung once before and that was enough, I will always refuse bonuses that include wagering requirements now.

At Titan I played the live blackjack and got my deposit of 100 euros up to 450 euros. Woohoo! \m/

Upon requesting a withdrawal I was told that I still had to complete my wagering requirement. WHAT WAGERING REQUIREMENT?!?!?!

Upon contacting supoort I was told that I had been rewarded a 10 euro bonus, but it included a wagering requirement.

I replied to please just remove it as I had not requested a bonus. Support replied that it could not been removed, as it had been added automatically, and I had played with it.

Using live blackjack, the wagering requirement for a bonus of 10 euros is, wait for it, 8250 euros.

Thats right, you read that correctly. I would have to put through 8250 euros to complete the wagering requirement for a bonus of 10 euros. (2750 on the slots. Not a fan.)

Also note with Titan Casino there is no way to check what wagering requirement is left, except writing an email.

At this point I explained to support that because I did not request any bonus, and since there was no notification of any sort, or any chance to reject the bonus, I would like it removed.

This preveiled for many, many emails. Support would always answer with a web address of their terms and conditions.

After scouring these T&Cs with a fine tooth comb I cannot find any condition about a player being awarded a bonus without knowledge / consent. Can anyone find it?

For many more emails, I have politely of course requested support show me the exact term that states a customer may be given a bonus without consent.

There is never a direct answer, only ever a repeat of the previous response of the web address of the T&Cs - going around in circles.

The same happens when I contact chat support.

Since then I attempted a withdrawal. Upon withdrawal attempt, a popup informend me that my bonus of 10 euro would be removed if I proceeded. I thought "oh good they have fixed the forced bonus issue".

I proceeded with the withdrawal. I message informed me the withdrawal was successful.

3 days later, an email arrived explaining that my withdrawal had been rejected due to incompletion of wagering requirements.

My account had been restored to the point it was before the withdrawal, but without the 10 euro bonus.

Upon contacting chat support, I asked how it is possible that I could still have a wagering requirement, even thought the entire bonus had been removed from my account?

Again the same responses. T&C address links. Never a direct answer.
They did eventually confirm that yes, I do have a wagering requirement, even though the bonus has been completely removed. I have the option of withdrawing my initional deposit only (100 euro)

Well thats where I'm at right now. Does anyone else think this is extremely dodgy, and worthy of the blacklist?

Thanks for reading my rant - I HAD to do something, and this seemed the place to start. Does anyone have any reccommendations of what I should do?

Peace everyone.

Hi JohnnyK, and from one newbie to another, welcome!

So sorry about your woes.

At least they gave you the option to withdraw your initial deposit. I've read in some of the T&C that if you request a withdrawal before the wr have been met you will forfeit your winnings AND deposit.

And how sneaky of them to not make you wager history easier to access. One more way they can stick it to us.

Bless your heart for hanging in there on the merry-go-round of "here's the T&C, read them idiot!" They think if they refuse to answer your very specific questions you'll eventually give up and go away, leaving your money with them!

Of course, just because they SAID you could withdraw doesn't mean you'll actually get the funds back. Did you ask, and have you actually seen the moolah yet? Well, I guess its too soon for that, but have they replied in a positive tone?

I don't usually accept bonuses either, cause the wr can be outrageous, and it's really scary they can slip one in on you like that. I usually have a very detailed live chat before I deposit informing them I do not want any bonuses, how can I avoid them? At least if they did try to pull that on me I'd have the transcript of the chat to back me up.

Thankyou for your warm welcome Freeroller.

That live chat idea is really good I shall do that from now on.

I hope whoever has the authority to manage the rogue list is able to add titan, I would be happy to answer any questions and forward evidence.

Peace

I am not altogether surprised to hear this because I am not the biggest fan of the group of casinos that Titan belongs to - Casino Bellini, Europa Casino, and Casino Tropez. In my mind there are only a handful of top quality Playtech casinos that I will play at, and those guys are not amongst the best. Among other things, they relentlessly email you after you sign up there and they have the crappy €9990 per month withdrawal limit, even if you win a €2 million progressive jackpot!

I've had a look through their website and I cannot see reference to a €10 bonus anywhere. The standard 50% bonus would have given you €50 for a €100 deposit. However I think I know what may have happened. They have a 10% bonus on various different deposit methods on their cashier page. I'm guessing you deposited using one of those methods and they credited that bonus to you automatically. They market it like they are doing you a favour but we know better - the bonus is awarded for the exact reason you have just found out - i.e. to lock players in so they are less likely to withdraw after a short term win. I dislike automatically applied bonuses for that reason and I believe they should always be an opt-in proposition. That said, I'm pretty sure that whenever you get a bonus at a Playtech a little popup appears that tells you. Perhaps you missed it.

Anyway can you please send me a private message with your account name or number at Titan and I will contact them and see if I can help you out?

I think you might also find the following thread interesting. In short I wouldn't play live blackjack at a Playtech casino for the time being.

Hmm hang on a second. From their terms page:

Quote:

In the interest of fair gaming, you must wager at least 25 (twenty-five) times your deposit plus bonus before cashing out any amount exceeding your deposit. For example with the 10% bonus: Deposit $/£/€100, receive a $/£/€10 bonus, wager minimum is $/£/€2,750 ($/£/€110 x 25). You may not use this play bonus in combination with another play bonus.

To receive this bonus, please email: [email protected] with your Real account username in the subject line and the following in the body: "I have qualified for the 10% bonus - [your username here]", - or - "I have qualified for the 15% bonus - [your username here]" or simply request the bonus from our online support team. Please note: this bonus will be given retroactively on deposits that were made up to two weeks before the request date only.

And...

Quote:

Bets placed on Blackjack, Blackjack Live, Live Unlimited Blackjack, Lucky Blackjack, Progressive Blackjack, Perfect Blackjack and 21 Duel Blackjack contribute one third of their original value towards wagering requirements.

Therefore if they have awarded you with this bonus, it would mean the following:

- Deposit: €100
- Bonus: €10
- Wager: 25 x €110 = €2750
- Live Blackjack counts one third: €2750 x 3 = €8250

That matches the exact figure you were given by their support. So it would suggest quite strongly that it is the bonus you have been awarded.

However, if you did not email them or request the bonus via live chat then there is no way that you should have received that bonus and if they did in fact give it to you then they are breaking their own terms and conditions. Please PM me on this as I am very keen to take this up with them.

Thankyou very much for your couteously detailed reply this seems to be an accurate description of what has happened.

I will indeed message you my username.

Also, that live blackjack shorting aces thing is very interesting. I will certainly ask the dealer about it - if I ever play again.

Peace.

Actually Joyland was owned by different people before it was acquired by William Hill a few years ago. WH later realised what a dodgy operation they had joined up with and have been trying to clean the place up and restore their reputation ever since. Joyland are on our blacklist because among many other things, they refused to pay a progressive jackpot winner her full jackpot winnings and in the end around €2 million in winnings just "disappeared", presumably into the previous casino owner's pockets.

Hi CL-ED...My bad ..Joyland is part WH Group and it's not Titan casino ( i double checked )....If the casino doesn't have the WR onsite for players to look at then that should be the 1st red flag ..unless the LiveChat (host) can give you the details about your WR then it's ok..eg...JackpotCity's LiveChat will give you your WR on the spot if you ask them.

No problem, and a week later I haven't heard anything back from them. I'll try again but it isn't looking good is it?

Well if they havn't written back, then does that qualify them for the blacklist? It seems they are working so hard to earn this prestigious position... I think the have earned it? It would hopefully reduce the amount of rip-off bogus bonuses they can force on people.

Thankyou everyone for your messages its so much better to have a community of this type and to be able to do something about it 🙂

I have emailed them 3 times about this and never gotten a response.

However out of the blue today I got an unsolicited email from someone there trying to buy advertising on here or something. So I have now replied to them with this issue in the hope that they will be able to explain what exactly is going on.

But yeah, appalling service.
