Bet On Presidential Election

7 replies • Last post

There are various sites offering bets on the upcoming presidential election in the U.S.

Have any of you put any money in on this? I put some money I got on a free chip on the election, and am hoping it comes through...

If this is anything like sports bets, my money wager will be wrong. In this case, should I have bet for the guy I didn't want to win? Thats what I do with my Lions, Red Wings, and Tigers!

I wish neither of the two candidates would win. I wish a write in candidate would win, but with the Diebold machines around, the person the "powers that be" want to win will win. I have not wagered on who will win, but by the way the debates went the other night, I would bet Obama to win.

That would be my vote, VPRoyalFlush. That is not a betting choice, and even though I want them to win, there is not even a snowball's chance in Hell that I would bet on them.

The trouble is with the two-party system and other parties being locked out of the debates, this would never happen. And people believe they are "throwing away their votes" when they vote for another party. Our system is BROKEN and set up so unfairly, yet this is a democracy? 🤷

I have never bet on an election, and I doubt I would try. Too unpredictable for me, and i would probably lose all my money, lol. It is confusing enough for me to figure out who to vote for when I get to the polls. 😢

I bet on the underdog for the odds, and lost.
