I know I am really broke when.......

37 replies • Last post

.......I play penny Keno. 😀

.......I go searching for no-deposit bonuses even when I know I have used them all. 😜

Maybe I am the only one on CL who is too broke to play, sometimes, but just in case that is NOT the case, finish the sentence.

When I pay for a beer in nickels.

I actually have done this, and then left the tip as a $1 bill.

Lol! Well at least you DID tip. I am a good tipper. My brother was a waiter, and he taught me long ago that "if you can't go out and afford to tip well for good service, then you can't afford to go out." That was long ago, but I have lived by it all my life. So surprising how many don't even bother to tip, and that is SO wrong.

Better to pay for the beer in nickels than leave the dollar tip in nickels, IMO. lol

When I was a poor broke student I used to hunt around the streets and car parks near the supermarket for trolleys that I could return for a 20c coin. Then one day I worked out that you could push them through the return gate and pull them back out real quick and the machine would still drop a coin. So I could rinse and repeat a few times. Happy (and broke!) days...

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.
Post in our forums to earn CLchips which can be used to buy real prizes in our CLchips shop.

Lol! Rinse, repeat: That is too funny! Kind of like having to steal toilet paper from the gas station? I have heard of broke college students doing that. haha!

Smart fellow. That is funny, but I bet it wasn't at the time. We have Aldi here where you have to put a quarter in to use the cart.

I can remember my daughter and I going to get a hamburger or taco. We didn't have a lot of money so we would buy our drinks at a different place. The pop was only 25 cents a can! That is before I knew how bad pop was for a person. We would take our food down to the park and eat. We were broke, but still have good memories of eating in the park.

I know what you mean Hope, I wanted to reverse my withdrawal @ buzzluck but I am showing huge restraint and not doing it. It is so hard for me to get a payout there so I want it all : )So I am being a good girl as well.

GOOD for you. I am PROUD of you, so keep it up, and let's ENCOURAGE one another. If I could resist playing with those funds that Club World kept putting back into my player's account like TEN times, then I can certainly be patient and wait a few days and NOT even THINK about reversing my withdrawal, lol. That is exactly what they WANT us to do, so hang in there, girlfriend! 🙂 And I will, too.

I know nothing about FaceBook, but I am still going on the comps. I can't believe it. But tonight, I am hovering around fifty to sixty bucks instead of seventy to eighty, so I need a BIG BOOST! At least it is letting me play a while. lol

FaceBook has casino game you can collect winnings from?? Probly just for fun tho, right? I've avoided FB for personal reasons-- yeah, I'm a fugitive! lol

I have done the same. lol One of the last holdouts. People look at me like I am an alien when I say I don't use FB. I DO have an account, but it is deactivated. I tried to delete, then learned that was not allowed. That alone makes me not want to ever reactivate my account, because it makes me angry. All I have to do is sign in and I am up and running again. I think it is wrong that I am not given a choice.

I do realize there are many good things about Facebook, too, like you can't even enter many contests these days unless you have Facebook, and I know it can be good for fund raising or promoting something one might sell, but the cons still outweigh the pros for my reasons, too.

I don't remember what thread you put it in hope about slotocash tournies but I have been playing there and I don't really love the format...last one I played I had 30000 credits for 15 minutes. only used 16000 and didn't do very well either :\ 😢 :'(

I feel exactly the SAME way. And I swear it did not used to be like that? I think they used to give you more time in comparison with the credits. Less time than Club World allows, but closer to where you could reasonable use all your credits before the time runs out.

It is nice to have a little EXTRA time in case one hits the bonus round, which also takes up time. I think the clock should stop when we hit the bonus round. 😜 Don't you?

I just played a Loose Caboose tournament, and I did not come close to using all the credits, even though I did nothing but spin (and I did not hit the bonus even ONCE!)

I DO realize we are all on equal footing, but it still bugs me. Bugs me so much, I was even going to write them or complain to chat and see if they would consider changing that. Maybe if enough of us whine to them they will try to change that? IDK, but maybe worth a try?

Nice to know I am not the only one who feels this way.
