Won a Jackpot and need some help...

11 replies • Last post

I joined Aladdin's Gold casino using the free $50 code found at this site. On Friday I won a random jackpot of over $4,000. I chatted with an online agent asking how I can withdraw my winnings. I was told that they would be able to issue only $250 of it. I don't understand this. What can I do to get the full amount? Any suggestions? 🤷

Thanks,
Karen

Hi Karen,

Unfortunately when you accept a no deposit bonus there ARE condition on that bonus, including what is called play through and also almost always a max amount you can withdraw when you use the bonus. This is the same for match-deposit bonuses, so please be sure to always read the conditions and fine print. When using a free chip it is definitely NOT the time you want to hit that random jackpot, and I am sorry for your disappointment. However, just think of your 250 dollars as free money, because in reality you didn't have to do much to get it.

Many do not use bonuses, because of the play through requirements and cash out rules unless they are really good deals, just because the fear of the above.

I knew none of this before i joined this site. I hit a minor jackpot and I was lucky enough to reach play through on a match deposit bonus with no max cashout (800 bucks).

I can only imagine the excitement, then disappointment about the $4,000, but if you are that lucky now, maybe you can win in the future now that you are familiar with their site.

I am sure CL-Ed can explain it all much better to you, too, but even on this site there are links to click on by the no-deposit bonus offers with all details to read BEFORE you play.

I wish you nothing but the BEST of luck in the future! 🙂

Hope has done a fairly good job of explaining things. This is the drawback of using a bonus, in particular a free chip. A free chip almost always has terms attached that limit the amount you can withdraw after claiming it.

We try to list the major terms and gotchas with each and every bonus and I have checked the $50 free at Aladdin's, and yes it says maximum withdrawal of $250. I've included a screenshot below and you can see for yourself on the review page if you click "More Info" on the bonus button: Aladdin's Gold Casino Review

I agree it sucks but it is the way it is unfortunately.

Hello, and welcome to the site! I have heard about this too many times to count. Ed and Hope are spot on.

It sucks that this happens on jackpot wins. I think that if someone hits the jackpot they should get it no matter what. It is such a rare occurrence that it should be paid out to the winner. I mean what happens to that money now? Does it just go to Aladdin's Gold (minus the $250 they will pay out)? If so that is crappy as hell.

There is clearly a difference between racking up wins on the slots and hitting a jackpot. Anyone agree?

I agree completely! There is nothing worse than hitting a random jackpot when you have limits on your withdrawal! 😢 I even hate hitting them during free tournaments. I get all excited for a moment, then I realize I can't actually win that money, lol. I really feel for that person and the disappointment she must feel.

The jackpots are internal to Aladdin's Gold so it isn't like they won a jackpot that was shared among loads of different casinos. However it would be interesting to know if they put the money back into the jackpot if it can't be withdrawn like this. They should because after all it is the players that fund it. Perhaps if Layci could tell us whether it was a random jackpot that she won and if so, which one was it?

Our jackpot tracker shows that it could have been their "Sapphire" jackpot
Sapphire Jackpot (Aladdin's Gold)

Yeah, I never really thought about what they do about the jackpots in these cases. I wonder how often that happens? I would really be bummed if that happened to me.

Yep, that was my jackpot listed there.

I got so freaking excited when it happened! The money is still in my account, so at least I have a ton of 'play money' to play with... LOL ... And, I'm getting $250, which is a nice bonus.

Thanks for all the info guys and nice to meet you all.
🙂

Be careful if you're playing with that "play money". Many of the RTG casinos now have a system where if you are playing with a bonus and you complete the wagering requirements, they will automatically subtract any excess funds that you can't withdraw from your balance.

So for example you might be playing and have $4000 in your account, then you clear the bonus and next spin you only have $250. Its something to watch out for, especially if you are living the life of a high roller for kicks and have it on auto play at $100 a spin or similar.

Wow, that is one more thing I didn't even think about. Although I think the days of no-deposit bonuses are over for me. Even match bonuses, unless they are REALLY good like the no-playthrough, no restrictions bonus I posted about in the Casino Promotions thread.

So the above would never happen to me, plus I would never bet more than fifty to sixty cents a spin, lol (except on Lucky Tiger at minimum of 88 cents per spin).

Still, that would be quite the surprise to someone who thought they had a lot of money in their account, then it disappears.
