Liberty Slots - legitimate or not?

6 replies • Last post

Ok, Hi All, been a while since I posted here...so Vegas Tech slots have been off the radar for me but Liberty Slots let me register, and play, and get a bonus, play tournaments, etc. Does anyone really know if this is a legit place to play or not? Their min. deposit is $45.00!!! I live in WA state and these games have not been available to me, so I will not put $$ in until Ed tells me it's okay. (thanks Ed)

Hey elckrmeade, long time no see. The site is identical to the old English Harbour Casino in terms of software, but the casino's management has taken great pains in hiding their ownership and where they are licensed from.

There is a chance that you could do well in playing there, but it is certainly a risk. Since they do not appear to be licensed in any jurisdiction, you would be completely at their mercy for any disputes or problems. Also, as an American, we have limited deposit options there and when I last logged in, I believe that I could only withdraw money with a paper check (high fees, longer wait times). Not very attractive, but if you play free tourneys and win, it may be worth a shot.

Hope this helps!

Agreed. I don't think I will be depositing there either, although the free tournaments are alluring to me. If they fail to payout those, you aren't out TOO much.

Hi elckrmeade, Slim has summed it up pretty well. The site has the same games you would know from the old Vegas Tech casinos. But they just don't give us a good feeling. They don't appear to be licensed anywhere and we haven't been able to track down who is running it. Personally I wouldn't take the risk.

Always play it safe! Consult our list of rogue casinos and warnings before depositing at a new casino.

I also read in the fine print that they reserve the right to refuse accounts from (where I am) Washington State. They let me register with my address in WA, is that strange?

I thought that a lot of casinos did not take Washington state players due to it having a specific law against it.

Here is a news story I just found that shows that a court just upheld that (flawed) law. http://www.aintluck.com/internet-poker-illegal-washington/

As for offshore casinos and your state? I dont know. They may take you, but they may not. I guess it will be a bit of trial and error on your part.
